When we look around it seems like our country and world is crumbling before our eyes. Wars, rumors of wars, famines, earthquakes, starvation, hatred, drugs, addictions of all kinds, adultery, homosexuality, and many other things do we hear about on the news and see daily. We have a president that is moving us quickly to a one world ruler, who we as believers know as the Anti-Christ. We are seeing more and more freedoms being taken away, although it is so gradual sometimes we don't even notice.
Now in the body of Christ we are seeing famines, starvation, hatred, addictions, adultery, homosexuality, fighting between brethren, greed, fear. very little discernment, compromise and other unchristlike things. No doubt about it, there is a famine of hearing a true word from the Lord being preached. The sheep are starving for truth, although in the mean time they must feed themselves.
We see addictions in the body of Christ, such as pornography, smoking, drinking, eating, TV, and the internet. There has certainly been enough men of God who have been caught in adulterous and homosexual relationships and brought reproach on the body of Christ. And then after they go through a short, if any, restoration period they are back in the pulpits, and out prophesying again.
Look around and see all the people follow the next new and exciting "move of God" and get their personal prophecies and carpet time, but they leave their discernment at home, just because the new thing might feel good, or be exciting.
Compromise of Gods Word is all around us. Go to many churches and see how the pastor is afraid to offend someone, he would rather compromise the clear teaching of the Word.
When is it going to end? Well, it isn't, not until Jesus returns, but rather it will get worse. The devil knows his time is short and he is unleashing demonic forces against the believer so they will compromise, and bring reproach on the name of Christ.
I want to encourage all to stand fast in faith. You can do it. Stop looking at the waves and wind of all that is going on and look to Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith. Didn't the Lord tell us in Matt. 6:25-34 to not take thought, but to seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things(food, drink, rainment) will be added unto you.
Now the Lord isn't telling you not to work, but not to take thought while you are working.
I Peter 5:7--9 "Cast all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world."
God cares for you! He has given you and me everything we need to live lives of victory in Christ, and to be able to stand in the evil day, and as Ephesians 6:10-11 "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil."
You can make it, because the Word of God says you can, but you need to stand on the unfailing Word of God, and do all to stand fast in the faith.
