Very well put, when I opened my Bible this morning my eyes fell on some passages in Proverbs. I had read them before but then I thought I would try to memorize them when I seen them this morning.

You mentioned the internet, but actually its all the electronic media whether its the radio, tv, internet, wifi, cell phones you name it.

I hate using the word tv because some have visions of legalism popping in their minds, but lets face it, there's a lot of fleshly pictures being flashed into peoples minds. I'm not writing this to say to anybody to get rid of it but to recognize there is a lot of fleshly wickedness being portrayed on it. Everybody has to make their own decision on what to do with it.

I was recently thinking about writing something concerning my new kindle that I purchased, but never got around to it. I was very aggravated with it because when I typed in "Free Christian Books", I noticed that every 30 books or so it would advertise a sensual vulgar erotic book with some fleshly picture on the front of it. Is this necessary to put this literature in the Christian section? Teenagers can see this as well when their looking for books to read?

I told my wife, why do they "Amazon", have this mixed in with the Christian book section. I tried to find a place where you could block certain types of literature but its not available at least I have yet to find it.

Jesus said; that even looking at a woman or man and lusting after them that you are committing adultery at least in your mind. I had a Christian friend who left his wife over a young woman and now he has been divorced seven or eight times and does not see he has a problem, he did admit, he has a ongoing situation with looking at porno but just shrugged it off as not a big deal.

Anyway did not want to get off on a rant here, but it needs to be considered because as you say men are prone to the flesh. Jesus said, the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. Guarding our eye gate, and ear gate, which feeds the mind, is all through Proverbs.

The scriptures I read this morning, I will highlight certain passages that I thought were great are:

Quote:

20
My son, give attention to my words;
Incline your ear to my sayings.
21
Do not let them depart from your eyes;
Keep them in the midst of your heart;
22
For they are life to those who find them,
And health to all their flesh.

23
Keep your heart with all diligence,
For out of it spring the issues of life.
24
Put away from you a deceitful mouth,
And put perverse lips far from you.
25
Let your eyes look straight ahead,
And your eyelids look right before you.
26
Ponder the path of your feet,
And let all your ways be established.
27
Do not turn to the right or the left;
Remove your foot from evil.

The "word of God" is "health" to all our flesh if we can believe it, but its in those who seek wisdom as you stated in your post. Were told to remove our feet from the path of evil.

Its interesting that the man who wrote much of Proverbs was said to be the wisest man on the Earth, who one day fell victim to following his flesh with all his wives and their false gods.
