Someone just posted Stevie Wonders song "I just called to say I love you" on Facebook. What a beautiful song. I'm not much on secular music but some stuff is just beautiful. Apparently he is a xian and attends a big charismatic church in Los Angeles.

In listening to it I was really reminded of the song in Revelation 14. The 144,000 who I think are the overcomers. As I've said here before I think that is more than just a song. A song a dance a work of art in 144,000 part harmony. In all dimensions.

The overcomers showing off the first fruits of their abilities. No one else has the intelligence or capability to plan and execute it. It just made me determine once again that I'm not giving up on my holding fast to be a part of that company.

I've said here before and I'm saying it again. Bro. Freemans entire ministry (from Gods side) was for the purpose of "laying the foundation for the preparing of the overcomers" I do not believe the work of making an overcomer has even started yet.

Fires will be kindled to testify that two and two make four. Swords will be drawn to prove that leaves are green in summer.”

He had a song back in the 70's called "Have a Talk With God" that probably wouldn't be politically correct today...someone would be offended.

There's a 'gospel song' on YouTube called "I'm Too Close" that he does with the Williams Brothers with lyrics about being too close to heaven to turn back now.

“But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us,”

For some reason these lyrics and tune popped into my head this morning...

"Saturday in the park,

I think it was the 4th of July

people sing, people dancing,

a man selling ice cream,

singing Italian songs....."

by Chicago, early 70's

Looking like a wet 4th in Alabama so far, awoke about 4am to heavy rain and lightning. Guess I'll have to shoot my fireworks indoors....... Smile

I thought about you guys down there when I saw the weather on a radar screen. We have had the wettest summer ever, some of the crops are so saturated that the corn is starting to lay over on its side, they say the roots are not taking hold. This is the first fourth of July when rain missed us, it normally rains every year.

Sometimes when I'm out and hear an old Chicago song it brings back a lot of old memories. I liked that brass band mixture they used in their songs.
