Hi Guys. I just want to thank the Lord for preserving me. I was Driving out of Stratford Ont on my motorcycle just speeded up into the fast zone doing 50-60 when someone pulled directly in front of me. I tried to hold it up but lost it. Slid about a 100 ft. If I didn't believe in divine protection angels and miracles I certainly do now.

The bike was on its side the front tire dug into the road at a 45% angle and stayed there lifting the middle of the bike into the air. Picture a triangle. My sleeve was caught on the throttle holding me up in the air with it. Somehow my foot and leg got out from under the bike. So other than a badly banged knee from when it first hit the road and a couple of bad scrapes I'm fine.

Also for some reason from what I saw the bike had only a little damage. Dented tank scraped front fender and bent brake pedal.

On a positive note I've been on holidays so now I can continue them for another week.

I should add that I was going a little fast didn't have my safety equip on (short sleeve shirt) and got a little careless. If it hadn't been for the Lord it could have been very very serious. I'm not giving up biking but I am going to take a serious look at what I'm doing. There is a former motorcycle police officer that lives nearby and gives weekend courses on advanced motorcycle handling I think I'm going to take it.

Lastly I'm sure you would all agree that faith and divine protection don't take the place of common sense. A thought I'm going to take seriously to heart

Amen, Praise The Lord! Psalms 91 is a priceless 'assurance policy'.

I thought I told you to keep that Triumph right side up... Smile

Welcome to the 'road-rash' club. I once slid about 150 ft. on my backside wearing nothing but a pair of swimtrunks and tennis shoes.(before the days of required helmets)The rear tire of my motorcycle blew out and the tube got caught in the chain locking up the rear end, it went out from under me before I could even react. Yeah, a serious loss of skin on heels, palms, and derriere.(I was just a teenager)

Glad you're OK, the course on bike safety sounds wise.

"They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot[motorcycle] against a stone." Ps.91:11-12
