The Santa Claus Lie, taught to children...

This particular lie won't be a revelation to the majority of us but I feel lead to start this thread and think that there are several other lies that can be added later.

I'll start off by copying the lyrics to a couple of 'Christmas' songs about Santa Claus.

Santa Claus Is Coming To Town

You better watch out
You better not cry
Better not pout
I'm telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town

He's making a list
And checking it twice;
Gonna find out who's naughty and nice
Santa Claus is coming to town
He sees you when you're sleeping
He knows when you're awake
He knows if you've been bad or good
So be good for goodness sake!

Here Comes Santa Claus (partical lyrics)

Hang your stocking and say your prayers
Cause Santa Claus comes tonight!

He doesn't care if you're rich or poor
He loves you just the same
Santa Claus knows we're all god's children
That makes everything alright
So fill your heart with Christmas cheer
Cause Santa Claus comes tonight!

Peace on earth will come to all
If we just follow the light
So let's give thanks to the lord above
That Santa Claus comes tonight!

I was in a situation where a couple of mothers were teaching their young toddlers these songs, with such enthusiasm it made me wonder if they were even aware of what blasphemous things they were teaching their children. They(the songs) teach children that Santa Claus is the reason for 'being good'; that he is all knowing; the reason for saying 'your prayers' is because Santa Claus is coming tonight; that Santa Claus knows we're all Gods children and that is what makes everything all right; following the 'light' will bring peace on earth.

I daresay they (the mothers, who profess to be christian) don't spend near the time(if at all) and energy teaching the children Bible verses or Bible stories as they do being sure they've got the 'Spirit of Christmas' ingraved upon the childrens hearts.

Some of the lies about christmas are very blatant and obvious to anyone who will view it all without an agenda(seems to be almost impossible due to the strenght of the 'Spirit of Christmas'...and Yes, Charlie Brown, it is a demonic spirit, one of the strongest, deceiving millions upon millions of people.) But the way Satan tries to usurp what belongs only to God through seemingly 'innocent songs' is a bit more subtle. The message he is sending is that there is someone beside God who knows, sees, makes judgments, and is the source of peace on earth..."so lets give thanks to the lord above, That Santa Claus Comes Tonight."

In the church today people are taught, that Jesus answers prayers in 3 way

Yes,
No,
Or He sends a substitute.
Of coarse, He very rarely says yes, because He knows what’s best for us !
(That’s according to modern day Church standards)

But they will teach there children,
If you pray and write letters to Santa Clause, he will give you what ever
You desire……No questions asked !

Santa Clause will say Yes to all your wishes and desires, He holds greater
Powers than the God of the Bible, he hears your prayers, he sees all, he
Knows all things and will do anything to make you happy.

I saw a Christmas play one time at a Full Gospel Charismatic Church.
(ok…Please forgive me for being there!)
In the play, a child was on stage, praying to Santa Clause to heal his
Father and to supply the needs of the family !?

After questioning the pastor about the play, he relieved me of my duties
Of teaching the Wednesday night Bible Studies and all other fellowship
With his congregation……

So Sad !

More lies taught and endorsed by the church...

The lie of Christmas is perpetrated by the religious system of today known as the institutional denominational church. Yet just a couple of hundred years ago christ-mass was banned, outlawed, and shunned by God fearing Christians. In the 1500's only the Roman Catholic church celebrated this man-made holy day(a mass they started from a blend of various pagan practices mixed with their own spin on it. After the Reformation the Angilican/Church of England continued with the tradition as they had before leaving the RCC.

The Calvinist taught against it and exposed the idolatry. Once people started coming to America the early church here didn't have anything to do with the pagan practices of christmas. The Puritans, Quakers, Anabaptist, and even early Baptist and Methodist were against this practice. In 1659 Christmas was banned in Boston, Mass. and other towns and colonies soon followed. Christmas was frowned upon by most all 'religions' in the 'new world' and wasn't widely accepted until the 1800's.

In 1836 ALABAMA was the first state to make Christmas a legal holiday, and Oklahoma was the last in 1907. The commercialization didn't really start until the 1900's and just look at it now. It is so ingrained in the fabric of peoples lives that now the overwhelming majority of the America's, Canada, England, Australia, and Europe celebrate it, both heathen and 'christian' alike. Many retail stores make up to 75% of their years business during the 'holiday season' shopping craze.

It sure strikes me as a bit out of kilter when a very tanned person with a red dot between their eyes, wrapped in colorful scarfs, speaking with very broken english, wishes me a Merry Christmas as they load a perfectly shaped Fir tree onto their SUV. Rolling Eyes

I'm reminded of Jeremiah 10, but I'm sure if I were to ask someone within the institutional system who was in authority(such as a pastor/teacher, or even a confessing bible believer) what God meant when He said not to learn the way of the heathen and to question the origins of Pagamas and the history of the church concerning it, I'd be told 'LIES' once more.

As an addition to this post, I want to quote from Charisma Magazine an article written by J. Lee Grady giving 'his' take on christ-mas.

"But I unashamely love Christmas, I love the trees, the ornaments, the lights, the smells, the food, music, the gifts..."
So here's another opportunity for this man to stand up for truth and righteousness(and just like what he did with Lakeland and Todd Bentley, he follows along with the crowd...) Instead of using the platform he has to preach truth and warn the charismatic movement who reads his magazine, he just scratches the ears saying what people want to hear. Why? Because no one wants to surrender their traditions and deny their flesh what it wants.

I'll just have to take your word on that...my own experiences have been with 'professing christians' NOT so SUBTLY telling lies and making false accusations about me. But, as you say, it does give one the opportunity to experience that which is promised to those who chose to follow Christ...PERSECUTION

"Remember the Word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his Lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you..." John 15:20

"Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution." II Timothy 3:12

More subtle lies...disputing God's Word.

One may ask, How could God's Word be disputed? A couple examples that I've encountered recently. The serpent did this to Eve when he told her in Genesis chapter three...

"Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which The Lord had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

And when the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall NOT surely die:" Genesis 3:1-4

We know what happened from there, she saw that it was good for food(although all the others were good for food as well); it was pleasant to the eyes and a tree to be desired to make one wise(Drawn away by lust and what did it bring forth? death.) So she ate of it and gave it also to Adam who also ate. Then began the excuses...Adam said, "The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat"...and she pointed the finger at, "The serpent beguiled me..." And people have been arguing and disputing The Word of God and making excuses for not obeying IT ever since.

What is another way Satan beguiles Christians through subtle lies? Changing God's Word to where it's watered down through uninspired translations that subtly change the original into something that people WANT it to say.

An example I saw just this morning on another forum was the use of a watered down translation to 'prove from scripture' the Biblical requirements and qualifications for the office of a bishop/elder/overseer...and the purpose in using this translation was to 'allow' a person to remain qualified for this office even though they had been divorced and remarried, drank alcohol regularly, and had been involved in various questionable money making schemes.

The text used was I Timothy 3:1-3 and the translation used was the NLT (New Living Translation, written in 1996).

First I'll quote from the King James Version (KJV) verses two and three...

"A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous."

Now the NLT:

"For an elder must be a man whose life cannot be spoke against. He must be faithful to his wife. He must exhibit self-control, live wisely, and have a good reputation. He must enjoy having guests in his home and must be able to teach.

He must not be a heavy drinker or be violent. He must be gentle, peace loving, and not one who loves money."

The argument was that 'the bible' said faithful to his wife...nothing about how many wives he'd had in the past...faithful to the present one. Point two was that he couldn't be a heavy drinker...as in an alcoholic. And three was, just don't 'love' money.

So it's no wonder why we see people in leadership falling into various sins and setting the example before their congregations, the standards set forth by God have be diluted by subtle lies taught through watered down translations of His Holy Word. There's a whole generation of young people(and some not so young, who should know better) using these "easy to understand" or "hip" versions...some are inaccurate in translation; but some are designed specifically to deceive. The gender neutral NIV(New International Version published by Zondervan); The Living Bible; The Message(go to Biblegateway.com and look up I Corinthians 6:9-11 and under versions scroll down to The Message Bible and read those verses from that translation and see for yourself why it's called a' Gay friendly' bible); CEV (Contemporary English Version)are some of the homosexuality defending, agenda laden, unanointed versions ...imo

It don't hurt to look...

How many times has that phrase been spoken by professing christians in regards to 'checking out' a member of the opposite sex? How many of you brothers have heard this spoken? If I've heard it once, I've heard it thousands of times...even by women, and not just single people either, married folks thinking that one can look as long as they like so long as they don't 'touch'.

OK, what does God have to say about this subject? The first example that came to mind for me was what Joseph went through with Potiphar's wife. Genesis 39 verse 7 says that it began with a look..."And it came to pass after these things, that his master's wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me." Obviously Joseph was a handsome, intelligent, single young man and she was attracted to him, but we know he resisted the temptation and fled.

What about David? Had he guarded his eyes, he wouldn't have wound up committing adultery and murder(II Samuel 11:2). What does Jesus have to say concerning "It don't hurt to look "? Matthew 5:28 "But I say unto you, That whosoever LOOKETH on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart."

Job made a covenant with his eyes and decided not to even think about a woman. "I MADE a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid." Job 31:1

The 'eye-gate' is where lust begins and we know from scripture(and life's experiences) that the end is death. James 1:14-15 "But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death."

There's some great wisdom and instruction found in Proverbs, in chapter 4 verses 20 through 27 we're told:

"My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.

Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.

For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Put away from thee a forward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.

Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.

Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.

Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil."

So we see from scripture that "It don't hurt to look" is a LIE and one that has serious consequences.

Any form of worship is acceptable unto The Lord...

More and more we see these 'rock concerts' for Jesus. Mostly youth jumping around listening to a blend of heavy metal/rock/eastern chants music? It's infiltrated most all the denominations in their attempt to win the youth for Jesus. We have here in Birmingham one of the largest movements where young people are flocking to called 'The Basement'. Kids are coming from all over the world to 'jam' in a mosh-pit type environment with light shows, smoke, fire, and deafening music.

I just discovered today that IHOP is now in Birmingham.(that's International House of Prayer started in Kansas City by Mike Bickle ) Here it's called the 'Birmingham Prayer Furnace' and located about a mile from me, but they acknowledge on their website that IHOP is their pattern and template.(funny, I can take a right from my place and go a mile and eat pancakes at IHOP, or I can take a left and go a mile and jam for jesus at an IHOP.)

I went to their website and they are a non-profit corp. 501(c)fed tax exempt organization seeking donations and 'like-minded' people to start additional 'prayer houses' throughout the city. One qualification is you must embrace the music style and promote it...one must, "Particularly encourage the worship styles of the youth culture of today." They have some clips on YouTube and on their website, in one I saw a young girl comes up to the camera an sticks her tongue out and hisses, as the music is pulsating and they jump around. There's a lot of 'chanting' words or phrases over and over, and the jumping up and down goes on and on.

So what the harm in that, what's the lie being taught? one might ask. They're worshiping another Jesus, there's NO reverence or holiness being encouraged. It's just a rock concert under the guise of christianity.( I should know, I spent my youth at one rock concert after another) They're being taught and deceived into believing that this is what Christianity is all about and this form of 'worship' is pleasing to Jesus. There's more to it than just the music, like submission to the group leaders and the 'prayer soaking' 24/7.

btw: I'm not condemning these kids, they haven't been taught any better...it's the leadership that promotes and encourages it that is at fault. Anything to draw a crowd, make money, and present the illusion of spiritual success.

Lies about what happened at Calvary...

Many are deceived by the teaching that Jesus died spiritually(JDS), millions have fallen for this heresy, that includes the lie that Jesus became sin, went to hell, and His Blood wasn't important.

First concerning Him 'becoming' sin; Jesus NEVER became sin, He bore the PENALITY for our sins...He was the sacrifice for our sins...Hebrews 4:15 "For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin." All the detailed instruction throughout the OT concerning sacrifice was pointing to Calvary and Jesus atonement for our sins.

There is also a teaching out there that says Jesus actual Blood wasn't what redeemed mankind and it has no special power to save. This too is a lie sent to rob Christians of what Jesus sacrificed Himself for...I Peter 1:18-19 "Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with The Precious Blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot." It's by The Blood, and only by the shed Blood Christ we are 'passed over'. Remember how God instructed Moses to have the children of Israel sacrifice the spotless lambs and strike the doorpost of their houses with it (the blood) so when the angel of death came he would 'pass-over' them...It all was pointing to Jesus. Hebrews 10:19 " Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by The Blood of Jesus." Heb.9:22 says that without the shedding of blood there is NO remission.

It's taught that Jesus went to hell and was subject to Satan, another lie.(they use the scripture where Jesus says unto God The Father, "why hast Thou forsaken me" as a proof text that Jesus died spiritually and went to hell.)

What are the implications of believing these lies? Well how can a christian come before God in the holy of holies with boldness if they don't believe it's by The shed Blood of Jesus that gives them that access? And if Jesus became sin on The Cross, then how could He redeem us if God demanded a sacrifice that was without spot or blemish? btw: sin would blemish and spot the sacrifice...that's why we have NOTHING to offer, nor could we atone for ourselves in any way...we are blimished and spotted by SIN(before salvation).

Praise God Jesus never sinned, never became sin, never went to hell and became subject to Satan, and His BLOOD is PURE and HOLY and through Him willing offering His own life's Blood unto the death, we are SAVED, HEALED, DELIVERED, WASHED, RESTORED, and made WHOLE.

Signs and wonders are to be sought after by Christians...

"A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign..."

Matthew 16:4a

So many today are running here and there chasing what they believe to be the presence of God, as demonstrated and confirmed by signs and wonders. People want all the excitment and emotion associated with these events, yet have NO desire to seek holiness or take up the cross and be a disciple of Jesus.

Undiscerning christians are seeking after confirmation that they're on the 'right path' and Satan is right there to give them signs and wonders. They rush forward to be 'slain in the spirit', have hands laid on them, be prayed over, have an impartation given them, or whatever the latest thing is and this never results in the person being drawn closer to The Lord, nor does it bring forth godly fruit.(usually it leads to the person moving away from God, as their focus becomes centered on chasing after the feeling and emotions of the counterfeit signs and wonders...)

Am I suggesting that God doesn't confirm His Word with signs and wonders? NO, I'm not. I'm saying that according to His Word He desires followers who will obey Him, walk in fellowship with Him, spend time in His Word being taught by The Holy Spirit what He requires of us.

Storing up goods...

"Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink:

nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on.
Is not the life more than meat, and the body more than raiment.?
"

"Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself..."

Matthew 6:25&34

More and more 'christian' websites are advocating the storing up of goods against the 'coming doom'(tribulations) as spoken of in Revelation. Even if the Post-Trib believers are right and they're going through tribulations (3 1/2 yr. or 7 yr. based on who one believes) what does Jesus say about this? I believe the instructions given above found in Matthew 6 tell us what His will for believers is. Yet how many will say that The Holy Spirit has instructed them to do this(store up supplies/food/water/survival gear) and to tell the body of Christ to do it as well. Aren't prophecies supposed to line up with God's Word?

And I don't think this means don't put up in the normal manner that people living off the land does yearly. We understand the principles of sowing and reaping and seasons and harvest in regards to raising veggies and livestock. I'm speaking of the purposeful storing away specifically in order to survive the times of tribulation.

When He returns, Will He find FAITH?

Today, the office of a Prophet is a business...

It is widely accepted today by the apostate church and it's leaders that the office of a prophet can be had by attending prophet schools and conferences and paying a fee.(and often the 'impartation/laying on of hands' by other false prophets) There are MANY today who are prophesying that America's best days lie ahead and that world peace will come. They adore themselves with the title of 'prophet' and seek the praise of men and promise that which people want to hear (as well as solicit their money).

Here is what God's Word has to say about self appointed prophets who fleece the sheep. I think these 'prophetic' scriptures are applicable today.

Micah chapter 3...

v5 "Thus saith The Lord concerning the prophets that make my people err, that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace; and he that putteth not into their mouths, they even prepare war against Him."

v6 "Therefore night shall be unto you, that ye shall not have a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down over the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them."

v7 "Then shall the seers be ashamed, and the diviners confounded: yea, they shall all cover their lips; for there is no answer of God."

v8 "But truly I am full of power by the spirit of The Lord, and judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin."

v9 "Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and princes of the house of Israel, that abhor judgment, and pervert all equity."

v10 "They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity."

v11 "The heads therefore judge for reward, and the priest thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon The Lord, and say, Is not The Lord among us? none evil can come upon us."

Is Glenn Beck a Christian ?

I have heard that many are listening to Glen Beck with a certain amount of admiration. I recently saw Jim Robison promoting Glen Beck.

Perhaps they should watch this video.

"But I say unto you..."

Professing Christians teach and believe in resisting evil, defending both individuals as well as the nations they dwell in; in taking up arms against those out to do harm, that killing is justified when protecting a life. That divorce is not that big of a deal, just try to get it right the next time; swearing to be truthful and pledging ailegiance to an earthly kingdom and it's flag is a Christians duty. In fact, almost anything the world does Christians mirror it, from their pagan holidays, ungodly Hollywood entertainment, political activism, and general unbelief in obeying what Jesus said concerning ethics and day to day following His example.

But in the 5th chapter of Matthew, Jesus 9 times makes this statement..."But I say unto YOU", or "verily I say unto" in correcting what had been taught. He constrast what was 'acceptable' to society, with what was the will of GOD.

"It has been said..."; "Ye have heard that it hath been said"......

"BUT I say unto you...

"That ye resist not evil..."

"Swear not at all..."

"Love your enemies..."

v5 "Thus saith The Lord concerning the prophets that make my people err, that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace; and he that putteth not into their mouths, they even prepare war against Him."

v6 "Therefore night shall be unto you, that ye shall not have a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down over the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them."

v7 "Then shall the seers be ashamed, and the diviners confounded: yea, they shall all cover their lips; for there is no answer of God."

v8 "But truly I am full of power by the spirit of The Lord, and judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin."

v9 "Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and princes of the house of Israel, that abhor judgment, and pervert all equity."

v10 "They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity."

v11 "The heads therefore judge for reward, and the priest thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon The Lord, and say, Is not The Lord among us? none evil can come upon us."

More on 'the prophetic movement'...

I'm sure most have heard of the Elijah List Newsletter that has been around for the last 10 years or so. Some might even have received it or bought into the 'prophetic movement' (hope not, but in case may The Lord open your eyes and deliver you).

I am not responsible for discovering this testimony on my own, I found it on another forum and thought some might could benefit from it. The mans name is Kevin Kleint and he worked for Elijah List Newsletter for 7 years and shares his experiences in a humble honest way, admitting his own lack of discernment and being caught up in it for a time. He had first hand experience with Todd Bentley and several other of the 'big-name' prophets of this movement.

The Lie...

"This is the lie: We have been made to believe that this Thing we call CHURCH is of God and that our membership and participation in it is essential to our Christian walk when in fact it is an idolatrous substitution for Jesus and quite often a hinderance to our walk with Him."

taken from: The Harlot Church System, "Come Out of Her, My People" written by Charles E. Newbold Jr.

The LORD is opening eyes as the end of days draws nearer, He is coming for a Bride without spot or blemish...right now is the time to stop the procrastination, He has a people, and they hear His voice...He has used different voices to sound the alarm through the years, we first heard it through Hobart Freeman, yet today He still has watchmen to warn the sheep. The system is corrupted, God is NOT there, come out, flee idolatry.

"Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith The LORD, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

And be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith The LORD Almighty."

The Perversion of Prosperity and Blessings...

"Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth." 3 John 2

If there's ever been a verse of scripture quoted more than this one to prove or justify a doctrine (Prosperity Gospel) in today's institutional, money hunger, enterprise called 'CHURCH ' ; I don't which it would be...unless maybe Malachi 3:8-11. I'm certainly not speaking against this verse (and other similar ones), I'd be most foolish to do that, I'm speaking of the perversion of these scriptures to justify the fleshly desire for seeking and hoarding of earthly riches.

It is taught in the pulpits across this nation every Sunday, broadcast on every 'christian' TV network...God wants you to live the 'good life', prosperity means financial blessings...MONEY. It's taught that money and goods are a reflection of God's favor upon His children...anything short of that means there's sin or lack of faith on the one not measuring up.

I believe in prosperity; I believe in being blessed by God...I believe they should be a by-product of faithful obedience unto God, with the focus on our relationship with Jesus Christ rather than on what we can get from Him. I believe that in America (and a few other nations) the message of prosperity and blessings has been twisted to cause believers to get caught up in 'this life'. Chasing after the 'American dream'(rather than The Kingdom of God), and through this lust for money and possessions, reinforced and fostered by 'the harlot church system', people are deceived and rendered ineffective for true service unto God by Satan.

The prosperity gospel as taught by most today is a perversion and a lie, and it's results (wealth, possessions) are actually a curse rather than a blessing. American professing Christians have bought into this lie, hook, line, and sinker, and don't have a clue what Jesus meant by taking up The Cross, denying oneself, and following Him. Crucifying the flesh is just words for far too many people professing to be His disciples. They are blinded by the deception/lie of the 'good life' promised along with all the other cotton candy/minister to my flesh, doctrines taught and embraced today.

One week ago today, my nephew probably entered an eternity of hell.
He never had any interest in God or the things of God. He lived with a divorcee, he was a drunk. Interesting in discussing this with some of my immediate family members the comment was made ,well you know sin is sin and there are no degrees of sin. I then brought up the sins that God said will prohibit those who do them can not enter His kingdom. No answer for that.
But the most disturbing thing of all was the bulletin said he was clothed in righteousness at his baptism. I brought this heresy up and again was greeted with all kinds of arguments. How Deceived these people are thanks to the lies of the church system.
Actually this probably should be in the Harlot church thread.

The Standard Varies, based on personal interpretation...

"...When the enemy shall come in like a flood, The Spirit of The LORD shall lift up a standard against him." Isaiah 59:19

"Knowing this first, that NO prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation." II Peter 1:20

God's Word IS the standard by which a Christian is to live, ALL of it not just the promises for the believer, but the obedience unto death of self part. God's Word is NOT like shopping where one gets to pick and choose, yet almost everyone claiming to be His followers does just that, pick and choose. It's "what my heart tells me to do"; it's "what I feel I should do". There are multitudes of 'christian' books out there that teach a humanistic view of The Standard we've been given; "surely God can't be that harsh as to punish sin, He's a God of LOVE, you interpret it however you like but I'm not accepting that teaching."

No, The Standard given doesn't change with time, nor is it subject to cultural influences or interpretion by religious institutions of man. Idolatry is still sin, fornication is still sin, lying is still sin, trusting in man is still sin, and disobedience is still sin. The punishment remains the same, the rewards for obedience are the same, and the Standard is as it was given. Obey and live...disobey and die; cut and dried... black and white, blessings or curses.

"But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which we have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him."

"For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works."
II Corinthians 11:3-4&13-15

Satan has SO MANY right where he wants them, people are hungry for anything that will make them feel like they're involved in a move of God, that they've found the REAL DEAL; so without searching The Word of God to see if what's going on lines up with The Word, they accept the false apostles/prophets/teachers regardless of whether or not their teachings mirror what JESUS and the early church Apostles did and taught.

The false doctrine of grace and love, NOT to be confused with the true doctrine of Grace and Love, has taken over the institutional religious system. Now sin can not be preached against lest someone is OFFENDED; everything is taken to the extreme...the baby is tossed with the bathwater. It seems like "love the sinner, hate the sin" has evolved into "accept the sinner as he is and don't offend him by preaching repentance from sin."

Satan has turned around the truth and has packaged his lies into something that's palatable to the masses. He's convienced the majority that what God clearly defines as wrong/sin is actually right/good...perfect example: homosexuality, same sex marriage...And it's infiltrated the harlot religious system of man one denomination at a time. Speak against it and one is lacking in love and being a 'hatemonger'.

One may say, "brother, that's not subtle, anyone can see that..." Really? Then why is it sweeping through Christendom like wildfire? Just today I read where the President of the U.S. is appealing to the U.S. Supreme Court to overthrow the ban on same-sex marriage in California...I pray they don't, but supect they will; then how long before the whole nation embraces this abomination?

"IF...my people, which are called by My Name...and TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS..." II Chronicles 7:14

This lie has certainly permeated the churches. There was a sign on a church board that said: "Gay and Lesbians welcome
here." What a sad state the so called churches are in. I remember hearing a testimony from Times Square Church where there was a group of transvestites that came. They heard the preaching for a while when the time came that Brother Wilkerson preached against the sin and let them know they needed to make a choice, repent and stay or leave. A number
of them did get saved and stayed, but some left. The only way they could get free from that life of sin and bondage was to hear the word of God preached, and let them know they had to decide: receive Jesus and stay or leave. These delivered people ended up getting married and having families of their own. This could only happen when the truth is preached and people are given the opportunity to repent and get saved. Thank God there are few ministers who aren't afraid to preach against sin and wickedness, and show people the way to Jesus.
