I am sure he is a believer now, although not savingly. At that moment of death all the scoffers and unbelievers will realize what a horrible, unchanging mistake they made by not receiving Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Then there is the scary verse for those who profess to be believers, about how some cast out demons and did many mighty works, but the Lord tells them to depart from Him because He never knew them because they didn't do the will of the Father.
God help us to do the will of our Heavenly Father.

I`m sure he is also. As I reflected on this, Ghandi of course grew up in a land of many gods and religions and hindu being the one that influenced him the most. He studied many religions and in fact if I remember correctly he read the sermon on the mount daily. He was turned off by christianity because he couldnt fathom why a christian would not live it, or for that matter explained it away.

Then I got to thinking. We to have grown up in a land of many Gods and religions just as people in India. Oh we profess to have the same God but all to often it is another Jesus. The one in the bible is so watered down and anemic so that if anyone trully is seeking, the religions of this country will soon have them thinking as Ghandi did. If this is how christians are I want no part of it.Or they will have them on the road of easy believism.
Thus sadly those who profess to be christians will one day hear those awful words. Depart from me I never knew you.Few there be that find it.

What you say reminds me of the Emergent Church movement, where the cross of Christ and the blood of Jesus just don't seem to be found, at least not in a biblical way if at all. People are so afraid to offend someone with sound biblical truths that compromise of Gods Word abounds and flourishes. Simply truths like Jesus is the only way is looked upon as hateful and judgmental. But we didn't say it, Jesus did: I am the way the Truth and the Life and no mans comes to the Father but by me.
Jesus gives us eternal life with Him, not the false gods of the Muslims, Hindu's, Buddists and may I say Roman Catholics. Now, we all know there are christians in the Catholic religion, but the religion is filled with heresy and deceptions.

It is a time to be ever vigilant and close to the Shepherd and learning to discern the voice of the Holy Spirit.
