I was reading on the 'Unleavened Bread Ministries' website tonight(also known as 'America's Last Days') and David Eells, the teacher/preacher/prophet??? who runs UBM is calling for his followers and readers to evacuate the Gulf coast region. He says he has heard from God and that many will die along the coast from the results of the BP oil spill. He is calling for 'Christians' to evacuate inland, and says he is moving UBM and putting his house up for sale as is his grown children, leaving behind good jobs and property.

I know at least one person who is a member of this forum who follows this ministry, maybe more, I don't know, but I would caution anyone to seek The Lord for themselves before making such a decision. I know this man has some solid teachings and good testimonies on his site, BUT he also is in error on his teaching of the Godhead and some other doctrines.

One thing is for sure, when someone says 'thus sayeth The Lord' and trys to influence tens of thousands of people to take his prophecy as from God...He better be right.

Is everything in place in the Gulf for an enormous disaster, even bigger than what we have? Yes, if a huricane comes through and drives the oil ashore...or lifts it up and dumps it on the inland states mixed in with the rain...or if the methane gases ignite and cause an explosion, or if...and there's several other possible outcomes that aren't good...and the coastline will be impacted from this for a long time, and people who make a living from the Gulf will suffer and may never recover and the wildlife and beaches...BUT, is God calling for Christians to evacuate? and why is the message to evacuate going out to just Christians, why wouldn't David Eells be warning EVERYBODY to flee?

Time will tell, and it won't be long.

Very interesting. I don't know anything about the guy. I guess my thought would be why isn't the HS speaking to more than one person about this.

Here's another one. I hesitated for quite some time before posting this because I'm really not sure about the guy. Some of what he says here has come to pass.

Well I don't know a lot about him either, but a while back someone posted a link to his website and we had a limited discussion about him. He was real big into numerics as well as 'oneness'. I understand that there are quite a number of people on forums discussing this(the BP oil spill), but he's the only one I know of that's prophecying that God told him many are going to die and to tell Christians to evacuate. And he's pinning himself down with a two week window for this happening.

I have reason for having a more than passing interest in what is going on the the Gulf of Mexico, not only do I live within 200 miles of the coast, I have family all along there. I have a cousin who is a captain of a supply boat for the oil rigs and a nephew who operates a crane aboard a supply ship in the Gulf. I have family living in Mobile, Al., Pascagoula, Ms., and Panama City, Fl. So I don't want them to be caught unawares, only time will tell just how bad an impact this is going to have on the future of those living and working there...but this prophecy about mass deaths coming from the methane, or poisonous chemicals released into the air from the clean up stuff is pretty serious.

Yeah, I wonder if people aren't just voicing their concerns about the possibilities of what all 'could' happen...it probably could! But saying God said evacuate, that's a strong statement thast will influence a lot of lives, should they take Mr. Eells seriously. Now I suppose if it doesn't happen as he prophecies, he can always say that God decided to do as He did with Jonah at Nineveh and changed His mind...

I watched the John Paul Jackson video and there's a lot there that I agree with happening(not so sure about his 10 yr. timeline)..just as there's a lot I agree with that David Eells preaches...both have some major baggage though, Jackson was part of the Kansas City Prophets with Cain, Jones, Joyner, and Bickle...though to his credit, he spoke out against Todd Bentley and the 'restoration' back into ministry by Joyner.

The thing with the oil spill is this, they've not even begun to get it stopped yet, this oil could be swept around the world following the under water currents, polluting all the oceans.

I haven't had time to look at all the video, but did recognize his name as one of the people involved with the Kansas City Prophets, who were instrumental in bringing down some of the ones who we thought were discerning. As James said he was involved with Paul Cain, Bob Jones(not of the college) and other of the so called prophets. When many people were discerning things terribly wrong with the KCF people John Paul Jackson went out to the Vineyard church in California to be with John Wimber.
He is very much into prophecy, dreams, visions, and "biblical" dream interpretations. There are many of the "prophets" who are prophesizing different judgments on the US, but that have yet to come to pass.
I suppose when someone says that within 10 years something will happen, I have to wonder if they are not expecting the Lord to come back anytime soon. Now I'm not sure, but I think some of these people are of the Dominion Theology teaching, so maybe they feel we need to get the world christianized before Jesus can return. Does anyone know if JPJ is of this belief?

I believe this oil spill is something that is very serious, but even in saying that I wonder how much the media has blown this out of proportion to be used by the devil to minister more fear in people, kinda like the swine flu (or to be politically correct, the H1N1 virus.) The devil wants people to be dependent on the government, so when the anti-christ comes to rescue the world there will be so much fear he will be welcomed with open arms.

I think that so much propagated in the news is about this very thing.

I know that the oil spill is very serious. I just returned from a wonderful vacation at Seacreast Beach and Rosemary Beach, Florida. It is close to Destin, Florida.

It was beautiful, clean, and gorgeous....no oil.

James:
"....why wouldn't David Eells be warning EVERYBODY to flee?"

Good question, James. I wondered about that myself.

Just a qick update, I have been watching to see if David Eells prophecy comes to pass, and the two weeks are up since he wrote the warning to flee on his website. Tonight I couldn't find the warning that I read there on June 27, so either it's been removed or put somewhere else on his website...It has gone from first page, written in bold RED letters, to can't be found. Did he move north and relocate the Unleaven Bread Ministries as he said he was doing?

I did find something written at the end of a story about toxic gas being smelled, he said that one should seek The Lord about whether they should move north before doing so...Totally different additude and wording than what he was saying a couple of weeks ago. Nothing about how thousands would die and God telling them to flee north.

I'm glad 'his' prophecy was wrong...at least for now, and that's the window of time he was predicting. More reason to remember to keep our eyes on Jesus and not man.
