I believe the book of Acts chronicled the second-chance-offering of the
gospel to the Jews. In Peter's first sermon he explains about the need
for repentance and how that God had used their obstinate hearts to fulfill
His purposes. In the second sermon Peter again encourages them to repent
and then goes on to say that once they repent and their sins are blotted
out, the times of refreshing can begin. His next statement is:

Act 3:20-21 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto
you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all
things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since
the world began.

Jesus had told them already that the time of the restitution of all things
was under the Father's authority, but it seems clear to me that the
disciples expected it to take place as soon as the Jews received their
Lord and Savior--Jesus.

Hindsight tells us that the Jews officially rejected this second offer of
grace, first in Jerusalem, next in Samaria, then in the uttermost parts of
the empire.

Once it became clear that the Jewish rulers would continue to reject this
offer, Paul (who always went to the Jew first), said that he would
henceforth go to the gentiles--AND THEY WILL HEAR IT!

Act 28:28 Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is
sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.

He later confirms the blindness of the Jews:

2Co 3:14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the
same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is
done away in Christ.
2Co 3:15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon
their heart.
2Co 3:16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be
taken away.

Paul gives more insight concerning the situation in:

Rom 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this
mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in
part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
Rom 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall
come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from
Jacob:
Rom 11:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their
sins.

All of this to say: We are still waiting for the Jews to repent so that
the restitution of all things can happen.

Blessings,
William

Thanks for answering William, I appreciate your perspective on biblical discussions, Praise The Lord. I guess then we need to really get earnest in praying for them (the Jews), cause I don't know about you but I'm really hoping to see The Lord's return...and the clock's ticking.

"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

For men shall be lovers of themselves......more than lovers of God." ~II Timothy 3:1&4

Abortion statistics:
Each year worldwide there are over 46 million abortions, that's annually!

In America there have been more than 50 million abortions since 1973.

1 in 4 pregnancies are aborted in the U.S.

8 in 10 women receiving abortions report religious affiliations:
43% profess to be Christian Protestants
27% say they're Catholic

93% of all abortions in America state social reasons for the abortion,

with inconvience and unwanted being the most used reasons given...

with less than 2% resulting from rape or incest.

There is an abortion every 26 seconds...138 an hour...3,312 per day...over 100,000 a month.

Inconvience... A life created by God is deemed inconvient and thus expendable, and because of the wickedness of the hearts of man,
man has established laws that encourage, endorse, protect, and allow murder of the unborn children.
God's Word says evil men and seducers will wax worse and worse as The Day of The Lord approaches,
One nation under God? The apple of God's eye? The best is yet to come? Prosperity for America?
Not what I see coming, I see judgment coming...SOON!

False Prophets...

"Thus saith the Lord of host, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the Lord.

They say still unto them that despise me, The Lord hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.

For who hath stood in the counsel of the Lord, and hath perceived and heard his word? who hath marked his word, and heard it?

Behold, a whirlwind of the Lord is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked.

The anger of the Lord shall not return, until he have executed, and til he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly.

I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied." ~Jeremiah 23:16-21

I believe God's Word gives us ample warning concerning false prophets, in fact, there are MANY warnings concerning false prophets, especially in the 'last days'. Why does God put such an emphasis on false prophets? Because He knew that in the last days Satan would be going all out to destroy the Body of Christ and He knew that MANY Christians in the end times would be woefully lacking in spiritual discernment.

I also believe that God has called watchmen to warn the sheep of these false prophets. Sadly, there seems to be far more false prophets than watchmen on the walls. I understand the need for evangelism and each of our calling to do so; but I believe that some are given burden for different needs. Yes, we need to present the gospel to the lost...but at the same time there are multitudes already saved who are being robbed by false teachers and prophets who need to be warned.

This is why, in The Body of Christ, there are different callings, giftings, and ministries. We can't all be evangelist or pastors or teachers(these are ministeries set in the body by God and should only filled by those called and anointed of The Holy Spirit). Yet we can all teach and evangelize as we're given oportunity. We also can warn the already saved Christians who are being deceived; in fact I believe that we should be doing both....in my humble opinion

Everything written in The Bible concerning God's judgment and wrath says that He does not wink at sin and we have many examples of God judging nations for far less that what America is guilty of. Just imagine if America was described in the OT without being called America. A nation that allowed the killing of unborn children, legalized and protected sodomy, idolatry, sanctioned and promoted mass promiscuity, a religious system that caters to man rather than God. Sodom was destroyed for just the sodomy(and based on the population of America, 300 million plus, there are far more sodomites in America than ever was in Sodom.)

No, the men prophesying that America's best days are yet ahead and that the church is entering into a time of financial prosperity(promoting the false prosperity gospel)in order to fleece the sheep, are false prophets and deceivers and God will judge them and this nation...the only hope is repentance.

I was reminded a few days ago in a sermon:
That the first established gathering of Believers.

Had No money !

They had No band and or music director !

They had No building and or worship center !

They Did Not use mans psychology for church growth !

But they had a promise from the Lord Jesus Christ;

8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Acts 1:8 (KJV)

And they had Instructions also !

14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Mark 16:14-18 (KJV)

And God brought forth the Blessings !

47B. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
Acts 2:47 (KJV)

Question:
Did we receive power or just the Tongues when the Holy Ghost came on us ?
Would He upbraid us for our unbelief and hardness of heart ?
Judge yourself…..

I'm not sure if I'm understanding you or even if you are referring to some
of the things I've written about evangelism, but just for the record let
me say that we are all called to evangelize (as Ron pointed out in his
recent note).

My emphasis of late has come from the book of Acts where Saul was
ransacking the Church & the disciples went everywhere spreading the gospel.
Now unless I'm mistaken most of us find ourselves in a similar situation.

We've been scattered to the four-corners and I have to ask a pertinent
question: What exactly are we doing? You mentioned that we all have
different gifts many of which are for the building up of the body of
Christ. This works fine when we actually have a body of believers that
can be edified by our particular gift, but what about those who have a
gift but have no 'body' to edify?

This was the situation in the NT when the disciples were scattered. Now
perhaps it can be argued that they left the comfortable church setting of
Jerusalem in groups which allowed them to settle in large enough numbers
to be considered a 'body' wherever they went, but I believe that at least
some of those who left Jerusalem had no place that they could consider a
functioning group of believers. In either case there was a situation that
required these new converts to step out of their zone of comfort and
either establish new churches or evangelize existing synagogues.

We've been out of our comfort zone for almost 20 years now and it seems to
me that we have done neither. We know how to critique everything that is
wrong with other believers who name the name of Christ, but we have not
attempted (in most cases) to spread the wonderful message that we say that
we have... and where is the church that has arisen as a result of our
dispersion?

Even if we are called to be watchmen, then surely we must rub elbows with
those who need warning. If we don't see ourselves as evangelists, and we
don't have a group of believers whereby our gifts can be utilized, then I
think that we only have a couple of biblical choices. Either find a body,
or start one. Now if staying out of the fray is a biblical choice then
I'll need someone to show me chapter and verse, cause I can't find it.

It seems to me that the false prophets are those who are saying 'every man
to your own tents, oh Israel'. If I'm wrong on this, please enlighten me.
I've done the to-your-own-tent routine for so long that it seems right,
even desirable, but I cannot find any support for that position in God's
Word.

Like Ron asked: Do we have the Holy Spirit or not?

It is easy to put the blame for our lack of evangelists, pastors &
teachers on God and say that we don't have a 'body' because He hasn't
anointed anyone for the job, but somehow I think the problem lies with us.

Remember the parable of the talents? Surely we all have been given just
one. What are we going to do with it?

I'm not pointing the finger at you James, for all I know you are using
what you have far more than I, but these are things that have troubled me
for a long time. My own attitude concerning these issues is really the
focal point of my rant.

A few years ago I attended a conference of believers in Nashville. I
don't remember the motivation behind my going but I went and I carried
with me the same attitude that I brought from FA (I'm not saying that it
was BECAUSE of FA, but however I got the attitude-- it wasn't from our
Lord).

I was really surprised to find that most of these people were really
Christians! Maybe it wasn't that bad, but it was close. I couldn't see
how anyone could be serious about the Lord without having the 'light' on
all of those issues that were common-place at FA. (I could supply a list
here--healing, drugs, hospitals, deliverance, faith message, Santa,
Easter, glasses, tennis shoes, printed tee shirts, dresses for women, and
on and on... --but you know them all.)

Jesus humbled me at that conference. I looked upon those people like
Peter looked upon that sheet filled with all manner of four-footed beasts.
And God essentially showed me the same thing He showed to Peter--call not
unclean, that which He has called clean. Peter wasn't in any condition to
take His Word to anyone but to those who were of the circumcision (fellow
FA'er for me) until God got his attention. Peter, who at the time was
staying with someone that most of his fellow Jews would have considered
unclean--Simon the tanner--a person who was ritually unclean MOST OF THE
TIME, but I digress... Peter, got the message and the door was opened to
the gentiles.

It was a baby step for Peter since the person to whom he was sent was a
God-fearing man but it eventually led to a whole bunch of raunchy unclean
gentiles, who didn't fear God, getting the gospel.

Let's face it, there are a lot of people out there who appear unclean to
our circumcised hearts... outwardly unclean that is... they take drugs,
they celebrate christmas, they love the easter bunny, etc., but they may
be actually clean as a result of believing on the Lord Jesus and we
shouldn't automatically pronounce unclean that which the Lord has called
clean. To be sure the Lord requires from all a clean heart, but what
makes us different from the Jews when we only look on the outward things
and cry--unclean?

Anyway, that is where I'm coming from. I have made an attempt, since that
conference, to view others in this light, even though I know that I still
need work in this area.

Blessings,
William

WELL, I thought I had made myself pretty clear as to what I was saying but guess not...OK, I wasn't refering to you William or what you have said, per say; I have been encountering some strange beliefs and doctrines as I 'try' go share with others(our little Bible study, and any other opportunity I get)and most of them have came from 'false teachers' and 'false prophets', much like those who can be seen at almost any given time on TBN and Inspiration Network.

And while I believe most everyone who regularly reads or posts on the forum aren't caught up in it, I feel a need to warn and point out these things for future members or readers. I've been aware that you strongly believe in evangelizing and probably have a 'call'(I know, we're all called to propagate The Gospel, you know I know that and stated it in the post in question). I feel a calling to watch and warn as well as share Jesus, as I said. I'm not putting myself on a pedestal nor claiming that I'm manifestly perfected, most of what <I believe The Holy Spirit gives me> is first to me, but I share it in case someone else might benefit from it.

Don't go getting sensitive on me, I have enough of that to deal with already. Is it possible that The Lord has called you into the 5-fold ministry and maybe you're wrestling with it? Just asking, not judging or saying I have 'a word for ya'<smile>. When I mentioned that I believe The Lord has given me the 'gift' of encouragment and a desire to edify, I know this forum isn't a 'church' as such, but the brothers and sisters who read are members of The Body of Christ and could always use encouragment and edification. I do take the opportunity seriously and try to be responsibile because I'm fully aware(regardless of what critics say) that every word I write is recorded and seen by The Lord Jesus, that's humbling and cause to take heed lest having preached to others, I myself become a castaway.(I Corth.9:27)

So, I agree with your posts on our responsibility to the lost and evangelism...I respect you and wouldn't publicly slander your words or disrespect you, and if I had a problem with you I'd approach you in private...I don't...have a problem(that you can solve)<smile>

Cool

Reply to Bro. Ron.

"Question:

Judge yourself....."

I can only speak for myself and judge myself, Ron. Yes, if Jesus upbraided his original 12 disciples for unbelief and doubts, no question in my mind that He would and will point out my lack of faith. I've never moved a mountain nor has my shadow healed the sick, nor have I done 'greater works' than He did, as He said I would...(if I understand scripture correctly)

But I'm still here, so maybe by His grace I'll get there...It'd be wonderful to see the acts of Acts come alive today, even through a nobody such as me.

Well I can't say that He has... at least not in the way that you mean.

That is one of the reasons that I feel comfortable in challenging you all
to stretch yourselves in ways you might not have considered... I'm just
another brother in the Lord seeking to find meaning for why the Lord
called us to prepare for ministry in the unique way that He did.

If I'm going to stretch myself, then I want some company along the way!!

And you do that extremely well. I was reading about your predecessor just

Talk about a humble encourager... in Barnabas (and now you!) I see someone
who exemplifies a true disciple.

Actually most of my burden concerns the state of the Church, but I do see
that we must never let evangelism slip... it goes with the territory of
being a disciple!

Speaking of our own, surely there are some, especially down around B'ham,
that still desire to fellowship together? As I recall there were quite a
few in that body. (I know you are there brodave!)

I saw my brother a few weeks ago and I can see the hand of the Lord at
work in his life. I'm going to make an effort to get a road trip together
soon and visit some of you guys.

You know? You'd think so, but I don't know of anyone. The only names I remember are the Oswalt family members, Dave, the song leader, your brother, and one other brother. Since I wasn't part of that assembly except for a brief period I never developed strong bonds with most of them. I would drive up for the Oswalt meeting for 8-9 years every month, but I was part of the Clanton assembly(and lived there 22 years). I just moved to Birmingham in 2004 so I literally know NO ONE here who was under the teachings of HEF and FA, (maybe if someone is reading who knows someone here in B'ham, you could PM me)

That's good news concerning your brother, hollar when ya are planning to get down this way...seriously.

Oil spill in the Gulf, fullfillment of prophecy?

Has it occured to anyone that the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico could be a foreshadowing of things to come? Could what John 'saw' as blood have been crude oil covering the sea? Revelation 16 verse 3 says that when the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea it became 'as' the blood of a dead man and that everything in it died.

I'm not saying that this oil spill is that or even that a future spill could be it, but at the same time I wonder...if the spill was big enough or enough oil escaped from the underground cavern that it's trapped in, it certainly could turn the sea red and kill everything in it. Just a thought, it doesn't necessarily have to be a 'man-made' spill, I think an earthquake could cause a disruption in the earths plates and allow oil to cover the oceans and destroy everything in them.

Maybe this disaster in the Gulf doesn't have anything to do with the 'Last Days', but it sure makes me wonder. One thing I believe is that it certainly will play a big role in the distruction of our economy as America continues to decrease as a world power.

Not trying to cause anyone to become fearful...but now is a good time to draw nigh unto God if you're not dwelling under the shadow of His wings, and if you are, then pray for those who don't have that relationship with HIM.

Any thoughts, comments, or opinions?

Isn't this one of those scriptures we take literally? Blood can't be oil. IMO, anyway.

In any case, the creation is groaning and the oil is not helping.

I would like to go to Florida soon. Sure hope I get to wear sandels and not boots!

Hi Gillyann,

You're probably right about it being literal blood. Although I read several commentaries with different opinions. I was thinking maybe that when John said in verse 3 that it became 'as' the blood of a dead man...that he was making an attempt to describe what he was seeing, and it 'looked' like blood.(the crude oil mixed with sea water has a rusty red color to it, kinda like dried blood????)

For sure the next verse states that when the third angel poured out the vial upon the rivers and fountains of water(fresh water?), they became blood. Notice a difference, verse 3 says 'as' the blood of a dead man, where verse 4 says they became blood.

I'm sure not building doctrine on it<smile> just throwing it out there to see what others think. Actually understanding the context and discriptive words John used to record what was shown him takes 'revelation' from The Holy Spirit. We know that some things can't be literal and some are to be taken literally, some are symbolic and some are revealed through study of the book of Daniel and other OT books of prophecy.

Truthfully, I don't understand it as well as I'd like, hopefully, I have a grasp on the teachings of the manchild, rapture, and other doctrines taught in Revelation. The still yet to be fulfilled prophecies I'm trusting The Lord to teach me as we come closer and closer to the last days.

"...Moving Forward..."

NBC announced that they would be allowing same sex weddings to be on their 'entertainment' show 'Modern Wedding Contest', after receiving protest letters and e-mails from GLADD who felt left out...Notice the statement by the spokesperson for NBC..."Moving forward..."

I would say, "Only in America", but that not true, it's most everywhere. I'm glad TV is optional and for the remote. Sad

I just ran across some info that I find very interesting. The pop star, Lady Gaga, had her pics taken in a Masonic Temple in London.

I believe England is where the Masons originated. Not sure on that. I do know that Masons equal the Illuminati who are part of the end-time beast system.

After googling a few things, I learned that she used the popular Hello Kitty theme for her dress.

Some believe she is being used as The Babylon Mystery Religion Woman in Rev. 17.

I know this is "out there," but what isn't when it comes to the end-time and what we are/might encounter?

I just thought it was interesting and might spark some conversation.

I'm aware that there is a 'lot' of conspiracy theories out there and most of them(immo- in my modest opinion) are literally, "out there". The Illuminati/Masons/Rothchilds draw a lot of attention on those type forums(end time/prophecy).

I have heard the name Gaga, but know nothing about her(I'll admit that classic rock music I enjoy at times, but the newer stuff does nothing for me, personally) And I have absolutely no idea what a Hello Kitty themed dress is, but that's OK, I'll probably Google her myself now, just because you mentioned her. Smile

I must say, she must be something else to convience people that she's 'Babylon Mystery Religion Woman in Rev.17' or either the 'some' are really out there.

You know, until I started reading some of these other 'Christian' forums, I didn't realize just how blessed we are with a sound Biblical foundation. I think I've seen everything from 'everybody going to heaven' doctrines, God is a woman, America is Israel, conspiracy theories galore, to 'we're in the 7 year tribulation period now'. And every single one of these people profess to be followers of Jesus Christ, and every one of them is convienced they're right in their beliefs...just as we are...

Update:

I found the site called 'The Vigilant Citizen' with the pictures and article on her and the Illuminati conection...Yep, OUT THERE. Just another Madonna wannabe, not worth the ink...imo

But now I know what a Kitty dress is...<smile>

As to "I do know that Masons equal the Illuminati who are part of the end-time beast system"...Again I plead ignorance, I've not spent any time attempting to understand the Illuminati/Masons connection or how or IF, they factor into end-times. If you have some creditable info/site or reference to material concerning this I'd like to check it out for myself.

Now that you pointed out the point of credibility, I am not sure what would be considered credible anymore. I suppose I am guilty of assuming along with everyone else.

One more point...I found out at one of my work-outs that the YMCA is changing their logo. They are taking the C(Christian) out of their name and logo. They want to be more "friendly" for everyone.

Appreciate your comments and responses Bro. James.

I wasn't trying to infer that 'you' weren't creditable, but I know (or am at least convienced in my own mind) that most of these internet sites are just people feeding off unbiblical literature, movies, and to some extent, fear of the unknown.(not to mention vivid imaginations) It's like the proverbial 'tin-foil helmets that prevent mindcontrol' deal that circulated throughout the conspiracy theories camp.

About the YMCA's logo change, that's just another sign, in the long and fast growing list of signs, of corporate America caving in to the whims of the politically correct left; or more accurately identified as a large group of people in this country who have very few moral or spiritual convictions and are influenced and swayed by forces of darkness (not the Illuminiti, but Satan).

Isn't it wonderful to have the peace that passeth 'ALL UNDERSTANDING' in our hearts, knowing The Holy Spirit will lead and guide us, protect and keep us, until that day when we see Jesus face to face?

May it be sooner rather than later, AMEN...

Headline News, USA Today Religion section, Sunday July 18, 2010

"Church of England paves the way for women bishops."

"A gay bishop for Church of England?"

"Presbyterian Church (USA) Committee: Allow same-sex marriage."

"Rev. Schuller's daughter will be Crystal Cathedral lead pastor."

There are obviously two 'churches' in these last days, there's the 'church' of the world, which caters to the desires of those who refuse to yeild to God's Word; and there's the Body of Christ, who has been commanded to come out from among them and be separate.

In my spirit I sense that we haven't even begun to grasp just how ungodly the coming days/weeks/months/years? will become, not just in the world around us, but in the apostate church...

May God give seeing eyes and hearing ears and repentant hearts to those caught up in this deception.

There seems to be an increase in fear, even among Christians, as we see the signs of The Lord's return increasing. Instead of excitment and hopeful expectation, many are storing up goods, arming themselves, building bunkers and expecting the worse. I've seen 'christian forums' that are filled with people looking to themselves for provisions and protection, making plans for survival...I'm sad to say, they'll probably be given the opportunity; Jesus only promises deliverance for those looking to Him and for Him. When He returns, will He find FAITH, or fear?

I want to remind anyone who may be tempted to get caught up in this, that God's Word promises deliverance for those who will trust in HIM. Ps.20:7 says..."Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God."

Here's an article that says there is an increase in doomsday driven fears that is causing some to build underground shelters...

http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2010-07-28-doomsday28_ST _N.htm

I like the position described in Ps.91...'under' the shadow of The Almighty; 'covered' with His feathers; 'under' His wings; with The Lord, even The Most High as my habitation and refuge. A-men.

People are constantly hearing things on the radio and TV to minister fear and try to make them dependent on others. You see it in ways they talk about the stock market, health care, investments, pandemics, unemployment, jobs and other things.
The more one listens to the talk show people, the newspapers, magazines and the government, the more fear is ministered. This is why we have been warned over the years to be discerning in what we read and by whom articles are written.
We shouldn't be filling our minds with all the lies and deceptions we are hearing from the multitudes, but rather get our faith the biblical way, the Word of God.

I agree Sue that much of the 'news' is biased and usually only gives one sided opinions. And I understand(and understood then) Bro. Freeman's thinking in warning people to be careful in what they allowed into their minds by way of the media. Especially young Christians who haven't matured and learned to discern for themselves. I remember a lot of paranoia amongest folks concerning simple things like walking into a store that sold TV's and hearing them plead The Blood of Jesus repeatedly(I witnessed this)as if the TV was going to reach out and capture their minds and send them to hell. Fear hath torment, and some became fearful in their isolation from the world. If I remember correctly there's a saying that goes like this, 'junk in junk out'...or garbage feed into a persons mind will results in garbage being released when the person speaks. I believe this to be true, but how are we are Christians going to be all the things Jesus said we'd be (if we're the ones chosen to reign and rule with Him and called to help Him set this groaning creation free) if we have fear of anything...including the government, newspaper, magazines, and TV talk shows. (I read a good bit on 'christian forums' and there's every wind of doctrine set forth and endorsed on some of them; I mean every thing under the sun is believed by people believing themselves to be born-again Christians...it's almost unreal, yet I, by God's grace, can read and discern through the heresies and false teachings and use the information learned to warn others of the errors and false doctrines.(and I'm not implying that I'm the only person who can do this, I'm sure most everyone reading this can as well) But I find it a bit ironic that the more I learn of these false teachings and teachers, the more often The Lord brings someone across my path who mentions it or has questions concerning the subject.

Of all the things we have been taught, besides faith, I believe the most valuable is discernment. But just like many things, we have to grow in it and learn. I appreciate the fact that Bro.Freeman taught and warned us of things to come and the Biblical way of dealing with them, but in hindsight, maybe some things got blown out of context by some people. Just as we see today in the world, people feed off others fear and the first thing ya know, a new conspiracy theory is born and everyone jumps on board and propagates it, from the media to undiscerning Christians.

Speaking of things being over-blown and people jumping on board due to fear...How about the H1N1 slash, Swine Flu scare. I read today that WHO(World Health Organization) declared the level 6 pandemic is about over and the level has been reduced.

Now Germany wants to know who is going to pay for the 34 million doses of unused vaccines they have...Britain was told to prepare for 65,000 deaths from this terrible sickness that was sweeping the globe; they had 457 official deaths from the 'Swine Flu'.

Fear tactics, to sell the vaccines, to make the pharmaceutical companies rich...there now seems to be a link between World Health personel and the drug makers....Hello? Anyone suprised?

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses...but we will remember The Name of The Lord our God...our healer, deliverer, redeemer, protector, and saviour...Jesus

Just had the chance to read the article this morning, and was saddened to hear someone who professes to be a christian say such things. To tell his church to say such things is one thing, but to say Jesus used that type of language is quite another. I pity this man when he stands before Jesus one day and has to answer for what he said. I suppose he has never heard of being separate from the world and having control over ones speech like the Word of God commands us.

I would have to assume that a lot of people probably liked his declaration considering that particular word is so prevelant in our society.

I ran across this in Micah 2:11 NIV this morning. If a liar and deceiver comes and says,
'I will prophesy for you plenty of wine and beer,'
he would be just the prophet for this people!

How many would love to hear this from the pulpit?

How often in the word did the Lord give the people what they wanted?

The really sad part is that when they stand at the judgement seat of Christ they will not be able to blame a minister for their sins just as so many try to blame HF for things that happened to them because of his teachings. We are each indivdually responsible for what the word says not what any minister said.

I`ve heard Tom Hamilton say almost on a weekly basis dont believe what I say just because I said it. See what the word says.If it`s in the word then we are obligated to follow it.Thats if we truely are trusting Christ in all things.

Do people follow false teachers? Sure they do. WIll they be able to use that as an excuse for failure? Absolutely not. The minister will be accountable for what he taught but the listener is responsible to verify it in the word.

God is quite specific in His word. He said I will reward those who diligently seek me. Not diligently following a man.

Be a berean.Search the scripture to see if these things are so.

Be Blessed.

Talk about a balanced message:

Minister Accountable: Listener Resposible

Reminds me what Dave Wilkerson said about preaching everything God have him so the blood of the people wouldn't be on him. I don't think many people truly understand the gravity of standing before Jesus on the day of judgment. I need to think about that more often when in a trial or dealing with people. Too easy to say something witty, to be funny, but not think that what I am saying is demeaning and a put down to the other person. Like my friend reminds me: Be slow to speak and swift to hear. You know, two ears, one mouth. May God help me to remember that.

Interesting survey conducted by the Pew Forum, a group that studies current religious trends among society and the church, and reports their findings. Nothing shocking revealed, but to claim to be a nation 'under God ' you'd think that more than 45% of those polled would have known the Gospels consisted Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. But at least they were up on the laws of the land, 89% knew prayer wasn't allowed in schools. Sad Of those who were questioned, Atheists and Agnostics scored the highest in religious knowledge...

I guess this knowledge and $3.00 will buy one a cup of coffee. But still, it does reflect societies downward spiral.

Want to know what 'America's Best Preacher' has to say concerning finances? T.D.Jakes has made his wisdom available to CNN to enlighten Americans on how to fix the economy.

Wouldn't one just assume that he'd at least give some Biblical principles and maybe a scripture or two to back his position?

He really is America's best preacher...REALLY! .....Time magazine said so....

So if the advice being given by the government, religious leaders, educators, and media runs contrary to God's Word, is there any wonder that our nation is Trillions of dollars in debt, and getting worse daily?

"Practice what you preach?"...

Crystal Cathedral files for bankruptcy.(more signs that point to us being in the last days?)

I believe this is just the start of what is going to happen to many of these 'megachurches' who have NOT preached God's Word, nor practiced Biblical principals. They're in debt millions of dollars and the economic depression is hitting them hard. Crystal Cathedral is over 43 Million dollars in debt. They owe one company $57,000 for the providing of 'live' animals for their Xmas and Eastar services??

In explaining how they're getting by now, a spokesman said this..."What we're doing NOW is we're trying to walk what we preach, we're paying cash for things as we go..."
So 'now' they've decided to practice what they preach? I don't really think they have been 'Preaching' sound Biblical principals of money management, if they had they wouldn't be in this shape...

This is just one of the many crystal cathedrals we will see fall. I can remember one minister saying when all the ones who were deceived by the "give to get" and "seed faith" ministries and saw they were lied to and exploited, they would need to have a place to go, where they could hear the true word of God, and get faith in their heart, and see that the jesus these men and women were preaching was not the Jesus of the Bible.

We have seen God provide for all our needs and promises to do so as we seek first the Kingdom of God. In the end the thing we will enjoy the most is having spent time in fellowship with the Lord, and knowing that all the promises of God are yes and amen in Christ Jesus. Our lives will be an example to others that our Jesus is faithful to everything He said in the Bible, that He does love us and promised to keep us and preserve us until the end. Praise the Lord for all His precious promises.

The Muslims can come in and do what ever they want, but they
will not let Andrew Strom in to preach the Word of God !

Must have something to do with the video that Grandom posted ?

Andrew Strom posted this on his site:

I am very sorry to announce to those of you who were planning on attending some of our meetings over the next month that we have been denied entry to the USA and sadly will have to cancel all the meetings.

My whole family were detained for over 6 hours at the US border
yesterday (the USA side), questioned, photographed, fingerprinted
like criminals – and sent back to Canada. We were told we could
not come in to preach to a series of Christian groups like this –
even though their website clearly says we CAN – and I have already
been in TWICE THIS YEAR doing exactly the same thing. They let
me in then – but no more. They even fingerprinted my 15-year-old
daughter. None of us (except our 9 and 11-year olds) can even set
foot in the USA again without going to the US Consulate and getting
special permission. We literally are now in the “criminal” class
according to US Immigration.

All this because we were invited by church groups and Christian
groups across the USA to come preach a series of meetings.
They told me to do that I have to have an “R” visa. (These take
months and months to get – often never). This is not what their
website says. New Zealand is a “visa-waiver” country and Conference
speakers are specifically allowed into the US under those rules. I
asked them, “How then can a foreign preacher who is invited by a
Christian group to the USA ever get in to preach?” They said maybe
that is OK for one or two meetings, but not for a series. So we
cannot preach in churches across the nation – even though that is
exactly what they have let me in to do before. This is the first time
I have ever been denied entry to do that very thing. And now we are
all – very evidently – “criminals”. Never to darken the door again.

My family and I naturally came home from this pretty distraught
and devastated. My daughter was crying in the car. Six hours is a
long time to be detained like that.

But, you know, at the end of the day, God is in control. I felt sure
then and I feel sure now that even though this was so distressing,
God was still speaking to us through it all. I believe He is the one
who is slamming the door shut on America right now – and doing
so in no uncertain terms. We have been praying and many others
have been praying for too long for this to have just been “man’s”
decision. I accept it as the voice of God. America is over for us.

WHERE to FROM HERE?

The most likely thing is a return “Down-Under” to New Zealand and
Australia. We have been away from home now – traveling and
ministering – for 18 months. Perhaps it is time for a return to what
the explorer Pedro Fernandez de Quiros called the “Great South
Land of the Holy Spirit.”

I just want to apologize again to all those who wanted to attend
our upcoming meetings. I am very sorry, my friends. Our family
is still pretty shaken by all of this, so we would certainly appreciate
your prayers at this time.

-Please comment on this article below.

God bless you all.

Andrew Strom.

First my comment on the YouTube video of Andrew Strom's, praise God there are people speaking out against what's going on in the church today. He has been given a platform to share the truth, and he's using it to expose these kooky karismatic fads.

As to him being refused entrance into the USA to preach, I guess that should be a wake up call to true christians that we are in the last days. It's been prophesied, predicted, and forewarned of, and now we see it beginning to happen. There'll come a time when it'll be more than just being turned away...I can see being imprisoned for the gospel. It's coming folks, P-E-R-S-E-C-U-T-I-O-N

Maybe it is...I've not seen evidence of it. I'm not referring to name calling or not being invited to social functions because of ones beliefs.(all that stuff just goes with the territory) But this is just my opinion as well...

It's one thing to be denied entrance into a country, it's quite another to be imprisoned. To me the key word in II Timothy 3:12 is 'suffer ', and in context Paul is describing what he had gone through...persecutions, afflictions and he says that ALL christians shall suffer persecution.

*not arguing, just trying to point out that most here in America don't really know what persecution is...including myself.
