"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

And what concord hath Christ with Belial, or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith The Lord, and touch not the unclean thing, and I will receive you,

And be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith The Lord Almighty."

II Corinthians 6:14-18

Judgment?

Harold Camping suffered a stroke last week that has left him with a problem, slurred speech. I've read where others are saying it's Gods' judgment against the false predictions he has made. I don't think so, I'm of the opinion that if God wanted him shut up, He'd have done it years ago, rather than after he had already made 2 false calculations/predictions. The radio station he owns has been running messages from their archives.

The last known thing Harold publicly stated was that he still believes that October 21, 2011 will be the day the world ends. Once again, we'll see, should The Lord tarry...

Any thoughts on this stroke being being Gods' judgment, or not?

I would not doubt that it is judgement but I would not speak for God that it definitely is.

I`ve been reading in Jer 23-25 about what The Lord said about false propets. I know there has been much discussion on wether he is a prophet or not.I personally think he prophesied but thats irrelevant.

God is going to judge all of us sooner or later.

Christian Woodstock?

I can see, from my own personal experiences in the counter-culture of the 60-70's, a paralel in the mindset of these young people. They, just as 100's of thousands of my generation were, are feed up with the hypocrisy all around them from those who should be setting an example of how to live this life. We had Vietnam, a dead religious system, and a massive revolution in the youth against most all authority and the status quo. These young 'christians' have the confussion of the denominations, the obvious to all willing to see lack of power in the institutional religious system, political corruption all around, and so much more.

Are they right in their alternative choices? NO, neither were we...but I do understand how easily zealous young people can be lead astray. The solution today is the same as it was 40 years ago, JESUS, without Him it's just de'ja'vu, all over again. Searching for, but not finding, that which satisfies.Caught up in actions, but never coming to the knowledge of the truth...It's only through death that we can experience life...JESUS John 12:24-26

I don't think any discerning Christian is under the delusional thinking that America is ..."One nation UNDER GOD ", but for the religious patriots watching The U.S.Open golf championship yesterday, NBC committed the unpardonable sin. In a taped video of the pledge of allegiance to the flag of America with military personel and shots of the flag showing on TV, NBC edited parts of it and left out UNDER GOD. And before the match was half over they had to break the coverage to issue an apology due to the vast numbers of irate texts, tweets, and phone calls to their studio in NY. (as if it had been just an oversite and not purposely done.)

Is this an indication of the goals and purposes of the liberal media? Probably so, and if this is news to people then somebody needs to take their head out of the sand. And before anyone jumps to the conclussion that it upset me, let me state that I didn't care, in fact I'd say that in my opinion it made the pledge more accurate, cause America is NOT one nation UNDER GOD. btw: I don't stand and salute or pledge allegiance to the flag.

I find it sad and ironic that those who protest the loudest about 'their christian liberities' being trampled upon(often know as the political 'religious right'), be it the removal of the 10 Commandments from the State Capitol, prayer from school, or now NBC 'messing with' the pledge of allegiance; often aren't living those Commandments or praying as they should or understanding which 'Kindgom' they're suposed to be a member of and what Jesus teaches concerning how His followers are to live separate from this worlds system.

What happened to the command for His disciples to be a 'LIGHT'? The institutional church has failed in teaching and preparing it's members to be Kingdom minded, instead of seeing and walking in God's Kingdom(which is spiritual and invisible, only seen in the reflection of Christ in it's members )they get caught up in the kingdom that they can see, man's kingdom...politics, social causes, environmental issues, human rights, ect...everything except the things of God.

Mercy Jesus, open our minds and hearts to Your truths, restore Your Church that we may have eyes to see and ears to hear, and grant us Grace to obey. Amen.

I understand the concern for the state the church is in today.

However, it is fulfillment of Rev. 2-3 where He addresses all of these issues.

Just like all of the things happening with Israel, I see all of this as one step closer to the rest of Rev. being fulfilled as well.

Take heart. I think it is just another sign of the end-times. That, to me, is very exciting.

I hadn't heard or read about the reference to the blending of Christianity and Islam as 'Chrislam' before, but after Googling it I see it's becoming a catch phrase for several ministries who are seeking to warn the Body of Christ concerning the dangers and how it points to a one world religion.

Here's a link sent me this morning from down under, mentioning some of what is being dealt with in the 'christian TV media', TBN...Why am I not surprised, just look at what all Paul and Jan Crouch have endorsed on their station and the false teachers and prophets they embrace, why wouldn't they defend those of like minded views? after all, it's where their bread is buttered. I'm not saying or implying that Jack Van Impe's ministry is spot on, but he is showing some backbone concerning TBN and this push towards 'unity at all cost' mentality that is laying the groundwork for an eventual one world religious system.(probably not as far away as one may think.)

The United Church of Christ, the denomination whose Chicago pastor Jeremiah Wright blasted the United States and white people for years from the pulpit while Barack Obama sat in his pews, has decided to banish God "the Father" from its organizational documents.

In reference to the above article:

"She said some of the denomination's pastors refer to God with terms such as "Creator" and "Father and Mother."

This is such New Age termonology.

"There are a lot of people who decided, if God still is speaking to us, there is more light and truth to break forth," she said.

...Angels of Light!

A sad and astounding article. I could comment on so much more, but I won't.

And now for the good news! Jesus is coming soon! Whoohoo!!!

This is just something else to make one wonder how in the world Christian Americans can think we're a nation under God with godly leaders. Here's U.S. House of Representative, Charlie Rangel, D-N.Y., who's been busted for various ethics violations, 'playing' the religion card(so to speak) asking 'What whould Jesus do?'

He says for people to ask their pastors, rabbis, and imams what is right(well since hardly no one teaches Biblical truths on debt, borrowing, charging interest, what kind of answer will be given? because the churches as well as their members are up to their eyeballs in debt too)...concerning how to deal with the 14.3 Trillion dollar debt we as a nation owe. Of course he wants to just raise the debt ceiling, borrow some more money, and pretend everything is wonderful. Not that the Republicans have a workable solution either...

I watched "Seven Signs of the Apocalypse" on the History Channel.

Not that I need confirmation of God's Word by science, but it was very good in presenting how some of the judgments in Revelation could very well happen. One way or the other, God's Word will come to pass.

For example, the program mentioned how the seas turn red in different areas due to red toxin. They said it then kills creatures in the sea. If it happened world wide, it would kill people living on the shores due to the toxins released. It was very interesting.

I just thought I would share the info. This is, of course, for those who have a TV. Rolling Eyes Shocked Very Happy

"Sign, sign, everywhere a sign..." song by 5 Man Electric Band Rolling Eyes

Jerry Brown, governor of California, just signed into law a bill that requires 'gay history' to be taught in all public schools in that state. (think they'll include Sodom and Gomorrah?)

I came across an interesting video (35 minutes) that gives a good explanation for one of the biggest problems that exist within the apostate church system of man...Many professing salvation have never been born again, they've responed to alter calls and professed a 'belief' in God, yet there has been little change in their lives that results in true obedience and good fruit.

R.A. Torrey once said that saving faith is believing God; not just believing 'in' God.(James 2:19)

I'm sure that at different points in history someone has declared God's Word to be in error and the writers not inspired by The Holy Spirit; but as the end draws nearer and with the ability to access imformation like never before, it seems the heretics are coming out of the woodwork.(well, maybe a more accurate discription would be coming out of the pit of Hell.)

A man named Clare G. Weakley Jr. is taking blasphemy to a new depth of depravity. Mr. Weakley touts himself as a "Non-denominational Internet Chaplain to ALL people of every religious system." He was educated through the Methodist denomination but now has expanded his horizons. He writes and publishes on The Christian Community website.

He says that The book of Revelation is heresy and he has proof...in his own twisted, deceived, unregenerate mind. He says, "Why would any careful Christian take 'Revelation' seriously after reading it?" His summation of it is, "Trouble me no more about it."

They're here folks...false teachers, prophets, deceivers sent to plant seeds of double in the minds of the gullible, ungrounded, itching ears, church pew fillers.

Yes they are !

Clare G. Weakley Jr. He says that The book of Revelation is heresy and he has proof !?

The Female sect of the church and most of the males have thrown out all of Pauls
Teachings (Paul wasn’t inspired by the Holy Spirit)

Now Take away The Gospels and the Teachings of Jesus !

99.9 % of the churches have thrown out the Prayer of Faith for Healing……..

You can’t tell God how to answer your prayers, beside that……
How do we know That God really wants to heal that person ?
You know that…… Death is the ultimate healing !
Sometimes you just got to take your hands off and let God do what ever He will…..
Heal them or kill them……..You don’t want to mess with Gods sovereignty !
Who are we to judge what God wants for that person !

Those statements came out of a Full Gospel, Pentecostal Church of God -- 2011

Sad ……………..

Does anyone know anything about the WEU becoming "The Ten" as of July 1st? There are 27 nations in the WEU, but as of this date, only 10 can vote.

I heard this today, and can't seem to verify anything for sure.

Some beleive that these are the ten horns in Revelation.

Thoughts?

According to a brief Google search (I'm not up on European alliances and politics) the WEU agreed to terminate their alliance powers to the EU and have it wraped up by June 2011. Of the 28 members only 10 were in the voting delegation...Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxenbourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, and The United Kingdom. There were 6 associate members; 5 observers; and 7 associate partners.

I could find no follow up info beyond June of 2011. Maybe sense in actuality they were always 'The Ten' as far as real power goes, they decided to drop the remaining 18 nations. They might have felt they'd have more strength if united with the European Union instead of their possibly outdated alliance???

Baby Boomers...

First may I say that my trust is in The Lord for both the present and the future; and these posts that reflect and comment on what is happening in these Last Days are not shared to foster fear or anxiety, but to remind and encourage fellow believers to draw nearer to God and place our total trust in Him to provide, protect, deliver, and comfort us in the coming times of peril.

For many this is a reality, they flat out don't have enough money for their 'golden years', though many planned ahead and thought they did. Inflation and the other economic problems have placed a strain on senior citizens (most others as well) that they aren't prepared for and there doesn't seem to be an answer to be found through the wisdom of man. I am probably more aware of this than some due to my working with people preparing their tax returns. I see the problem growing worse every year, many are in major financial trouble with no solution in sight.

Believing, understanding, obeying Psalms 91 (the whole Word of God, actually) is crucial if we expect to see God intervene on our behalf...We must dwell in the secret place 24/7, not visit upon occasion (Sunday) but be totally surrendered to God, trusting Him and Him alone as our sufficiency.

Just a thought that came to mind as I finished this post...Currency (money) values will come and go with inflation and economic turmoil (including gold), but Faith in God to provide is priceless and can't be devalued or rendered useless nor will there ever come a time where it won't be there. Amen.

I was thinking about the downfall of America over the last 40 years and what lead to it. For sure there are numerous things that one could point to such as the sexual revolution, drugs, rock and roll,(rebellion of my generation) as well as greed, and self centeredness. And there's no doubt in my mind that America and it's citizens are just beginning to reap the fruit of what has been sown.

I was curious once as to what the most read Bible verse was, of course it is John 3:16; but I came across a survey that said in America, Matthew 7:1 is the most quoted verse.

"Judge not, that ye be not judged."

In thinking about that and how so many (both christian and nonbelievers)have used it out of context to justify their mantra of 'live and let live', 'to each his own', and 'that's your interpretation'. Very few have the courage to stand up to the immorality that's running rampant throughout this nation, and when someone does they're quoted Matthew 7:1 and called judgemental and critical. The moral standard given us by God (The Bible) is used to refute following the clear instructions given us for walking righteously from the same source(The Bible). Heathen and many 'church members' alike will quote, Judge not, in a heart beat in defense of those living as Sodomites, whoremongers, adulterers, idolatry, murders(abortion), and every other sin known; yet never mention that that same WORD they are quoting states plainly that those who continue in those sins shall be cast into the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone.

The live and let live mentality, don't judge, has became so predominate that those who do stand for truth are considered as hatemongers and trouble makers...We ARE to judge SIN, and condemn it...We ARE to love the sinner, NOT the SIN. Love always speaks the TRUTH and the TRUTH is that unless one REPENTS and is Born-Again (saved, become a new creation in Jesus Christ...not just one who verbally confesses to be a 'believer' without the fruit of a changed heart) they WILL NOT see the Kingdom of GOD. (John 3:3)

Rumours... Not the best selling album by Fleetwood Mac with this title:)

As I exercised this morning in our fitness center, I was watching FoxNews and they were reporting on one problem after the other, from the devastating hurricane that hit the northeast, the earthquake near the nations capital, to the latest negative figures on unemployment, to civil unrest in foreign countries. The word Rumours kept coming to my mind, (and yes for a moment I did think of the record album by Fleetwood Mac) then I started remembering what Jesus told His disciples concerning the last days.

"And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

All these are the beginning of sorrows.
" Matthew 24:6-8

What kept going through my mind was what a rumour is; general talk or hearsay of doubtful accuracy. They promote themselves (FoxNews) as fair and balanced, yet they make statements that can not be true, and certainly not accurate. Example, "there was absolutely no jobs created in the month of August, none, zero; the numbers remained the same from July." Well anyone with any common sense or the least bit of discernment knows that there were jobs created in August, people went to work at new jobs. What they should have said was that the numbers stayed the same due to the number of people losing their jobs was equal to the number getting new jobs.e.g.The newly franchised resturant down the street 'created' 28 new jobs in August, but the one that closed in another city due to economic circumstances cost 28 people their jobs... Thus no change in employment figures.

And speaking of unemployment figures and accuracy, the nationwide unemployment figure of 9.1% that is repeated daily by the media and government, is NOT accurate. They have no way of knowing how many people have not applied for unemployment due to being self employed, or their benefits have been depleated, or they have simply given up or don't qualify for other reasons. But because of politics, the truth is swept under the rug.

I expect rumours (inaccuracies) from the media and government, what troubles me is when they come from pulpits under the guise of 'thus saith the lord'. e.g. America's best days lie ahead, we are yet to see our finest hour. America is God's nation, christian and God fearing. Great things are in store for this nation...What happened to the prophecy I heard in 2008 that 2009 what going to be a year of financial blessings and anointing upon 'the church' like never seen before. Well, the false prophet who spoke those words probably had a good year financially due to the fleecing of the followers of his ministry that teaches the false prosperity message, but the rest failed to happen; nor did it happen in 2010 and as 2011 is over half gone it doesn't appear that this is the 'financial breakout' year either.

Rumours, put out to mislead and deceive, inaccurate information both concerning secular matters as well as spiritual.

The LAST DAYS, the beginning of sorrows, God's judgment...

Increased Knowledge...

"...and knowledge shall be increased." Daniel 12:4b

Signs of the Last Days, increased knowledge. I remember my grandpa telling me about when he was a boy they traveled (what few times they did) by horse and buggy or walked. The only communication with people who lived any distance was by mail. The only news reports were from a weekly newspaper(if you lived near a city, country folks just lived their lives in their own small area of the world.) During his life he witnessed the invention of the automobile, airplane, radio, television; he saw the advances in medical science,(transplants, cure for diseases); he saw space travel and the founding of professional sports leagues; just to name a few.

All that we take for granted and just yawn at,e.g.the monthly advances in communication technologies...I mean, think about it, internet, texting, skyping, tweeting, cable/HD/3D, music with thousands of songs crystal clear on a device smaller than a pack of gum ...this stuff wasn't even around in Hobart Freemans day(25 yr. ago) I can prepare taxes using a computer and software program that increases accuracy and productivity that I would have never believed 20 years ago. Research? information?...just Google it...Biblegateway, blue letter Bible, ect. at our finger tips, no running to a library or digging through books(for the most part). It is amazing...

And yet, for all mans learning(mankind in general), he hasn't gotten wisdom. Mankind is farther from God than ever(imo) and the pride that comes with the ever increasing knowledge gives man a sense of self suffiency that makes seeking God, or even thinking that He is needed, of no importance.

What about those into religion? Hasn't 'knowledge' increased in these last days? 'Everyone' has a Bible, everyone goes to church, everyone gets to watch TBN, everyone is a 'christian' after all, we are one nation under God...NOT!

Yes, knowledge is increasing...just another fortold sign coming to pass that tells us we are in the last days.

Here is an interesting quote from a Buddhist.

“All know the way, but few actually walk it.

Seems Christianity isnt the only religion with this problem.

I think the inability to walk a commitmented life, to anything, is a universal problem amongest mankind. Especially those living in the Western world.

But from what I've observed, I'd conclude that the average Buddhist(or Muslim or Hindu) is far more dedicated to their gods and obedience to that which they believe to be 'the way', than professing Christians are to Jesus Christ and obedience to His teachings.

I don't know if Pat Robertson was originally called by God for ministry or not, but through the last 25 years his actions show a man who has confused the two kingdoms and lost his way. In 1988 when he ran for the Republican Party's nomination for president of the United States, he began down a path that has exposed to whom his allegiance lies.

He, along with Jerry Farwell (Moral Majority)and a few other men in American christendom's hierarchy, were very instrumental in the deception that swept through the harlot church sytem in this country that convinced people in the churches that patriotism and being christian were one and the same. They taught over the pulpit as well as TV the church had a responsibility to become actively involved in the political system of this nation through financially supporting and voting for the 'conservative party' candidates (that'd be Rupublican, and of course God's choice).

He's been know to make statements contrary to Bible long before this one on divorce. Oh yeah, he said God told him to run for president.

"It’s a high-stakes showdown at the United Nations. The Palestinian Authority is pushing for complete statehood -- a move that not only violates international law and the U.N.'s own charter, but represents grave danger to Israel. The Palestinian Authority has embraced Hamas as part of its government -- a terrorist organization that vows to destroy Israel." ACLJ

More headlines and news that was prophecied hundreds of years ago. We will see how it all plays out.

Shalom,

I'm not saying this proves we're in the Last Days, but then again maybe it does. Sad to say, I've spent time in both these institutions and I'd have to think long and hard which to chose should I have to make that decision. Both have the potential to change a person, for good or for bad.

Bay Minette, Alabama very near to where the Bay of The Holy Spirit Revival is located. At least the offender has a choice of churches, not so with jails. You got Brownsville (Pensacola, FL) a short drive, a very large Catholic church in nearby Mobile and tons of Southern Baptist, Methodist, and some charasmatic assemblies; on the jail side, one probably won't have his faith weakened or compromised or be caught up in deception. They amount of the fine probably wouldn't come close to the years worth of 'tithes'. Plus ya get feed and a roof overhead...decisions, decisions.

If offenders select church, they'll be allowed to pick the place of worship but must check in weekly with the pastor and police.

Follow up on Rob Bell...

Rob Bell is leaving Mars Hill, the mega-church he founded in Michigan, and is leaded for the Hollywood lights. He's taking the false message of quasi-love winning/universal salvation/no hell, on tour to the multitudes...Just what the 'world' is waiting to hear, in these Last Days.
