I have been dwelling some more about what Gary and myself were reminiscing about the days of Fa and the desert we now appear to be in.

Is it possible that while we were at FA that we were`nt seeking to please the Lord our Father. Before any one goes ballistic on me let me attempt to explain. Jesus prime concern on earth and I would assume in heaven as well was His relationship with the Father and especially pleasing His Father. He spent countless hours praying to the Father to know His will so as to obey what the Father told Him. Is it possible that we so intent on getting to all the meetings to hear from HEF or Steve or Bruce or whom ever might have been ministering that particular day that we didn't seek the Father. Sure we received multiple blessings from the word and we were like hungry insatiable children and it was exciting and we drank heavily from the fountain of the word presented. Why cant we as individuals achieve that excitement in our personal lives again. Is it possible that because of that experience we are puffed up with knowledge and no longer approach the word with what Jesus told us to do. Mat 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes. Do we approach the word each time as a babe or having already heard it all. The Holy Spirit cant give up the hidden treasures if that is our attitude.

Is it possible that we miss it in the area of praise and worship also? Oh the praise. Wasn't it a great experience? The moving of the spirit. Did we depend on Jerry Irvan or any other song leader to be our inspiration? Why cant we experience that in our individual lives. I know there is something about corporate worship, but why do we need to be in a great assembly to have have it happen. What does a missionary in the Africa or the jungles of South America do to worship and praise God. He does it out of his heart and reverence and love of God.

So here we set in this spiritual desert bemoaning the wonderful days at Fa and is it possible that we have in fact stayed in this self imposed desert because we haven't sought to commune with the Father as Jesus did. Speaking of which. How many of us actually pray to the Father? Jesus gave the example to His disciples to pray "Our Father which art in heaven". That's not to say that we shouldn't pray to Jesus but He gives us the example to pray to the Father.
In jn 16 25-28from the message Bible "I've used figures of speech in telling you these things. Soon I'll drop the figures and tell you about the Father in plain language. Then you can make your requests directly to him in relation to this life I've revealed to you. I won't continue making requests of the Father on your behalf. I won't need to. Because you've gone out on a limb, committed yourselves to love and trust in me, believing I came directly from the Father, the Father loves you directly. First, I left the Father and arrived in the world; now I leave the world and travel to the Father." He plainly says we are children of the Father and and we should make our own request to the Father.
So brothers and sisters. Is it possible we are seeking another FA and in actuality it remains for us to seek the Father as Jesus did and the desert we are now in will infact become a fertile land like we once experienced. I don't know. I`m just asking. IS IT POSSIBLE?

I agree with Hombre. That was a great post Gary.

No I never got to attend the seminars in Indy. Sorry I missed it. Ron has told me about them many times.

I`m curious as to what the time frame was that the house groups quit meetingThey must have been glorious.

You know we could still have them. I know the perfect location. In Indy at Hombres house.

Ron and I are always amazed at the depth of knowledge that he has of the word. It`s ashamed its just going to waste. He could very easily impart that to us on a weekly basis. I would have some reservations however. I wouldn't want to disagree with him because he might be like peter and lop off an ear and I`m not to sure any one has the faith to put it back on. Just kidding Hombre. Sorta. Smile

We could do that in the summertime outside..like a love feast because we have a couple acres, but the house isn't big enough.

One of the most joyous mememories I will carry throughout eternity is a combination love feast foot washing that we had at brother Ron`s house. Im not quite sure why we never had another one. Maybe I ate to much,or the athelets foot might have turned him off. Sad

Wow! Loved your post. I think you may be on to something there. Maybe not everyone fits into what you are describing, but it definitely describes someone I know. Thank you for your thoughts! I wish I could hug you right about now.
