Hosea 4 NLT

1 Hear the word of the Lord, O people of Israel!
The Lord has brought charges against you, saying:
“There is no faithfulness, no kindness,
no knowledge of God in your land.
2 You make vows and break them;
you kill and steal and commit adultery.
There is violence everywhere—
one murder after another.
3 That is why your land is in mourning,
and everyone is wasting away.
Even the wild animals, the birds of the sky,
and the fish of the sea are disappearing.

Sounds like this could be addressed to America.

Amazing Grace...

This little girl's mother had died only a couple of months before this video was made.

...'As little children', comes to mind as I listen.

Tick, Tick, Tick...

This is what The Lord put on my heart, it is an encouragement and reminder to me, I'm sharing it hoping that it will encourage others.

Romans 13:11-14

"And that, knowing the time, that now it is high to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.

But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof."

We're running out of time... either way, whether we go by the rapture or by the grave, every day that goes by is one day less we
have to prepare to meet God. Thank God for His mercy and long suffering, He will correct (prune) us if we'll seek and yield to it.
A popular phrase now days is "24/7"; but as I was meditating upon this (and The Lord also put Ephesians 6:11-18 in my heart as
part of the putting on of the armour of light), He reminded me that the enemy is attacking and seeking areas to attack, 24/7. Therefore
we MUST be on alert at all times. If there's ever been a time in history that Christians were asleep(and there have been many) today
is the time. The message to me was this; I've (we've?) not been called to be as everyone else(while the Word of God is to all Christians,
not everyone will be willing to obey); it's easy to fall into a pattern of day to day existence, doing our daily routine (which includes
our Word and prayer time, though many days done as a habit rather than a hearts hungry desire for fellowship with our heavenly Father)
without the awareness that we're running out of time.

I'm reminded of things The Lord has put upon my heart over the years that I believe He wanted to use me for, and that I wasn't as diligent
about seeking for Him to use me in those areas...and when I was, I allowed myself, after time, to fall into the trap of becoming lackadaisical.
I believe The Lord is telling me/us? in these scriptures why spiritual 'sleep' comes so easily...DARKNESS; making provision for the flesh.
I'm not going into each area The Lord ministered to me on as pertaining to making provisions for the flesh and areas of darkness, in my life,
because each of us have different things that need pruning, but the point is that we're running out of time and we've GOT to wake up.

A watchman who is asleep, is not a true watchman...A true watchman is a watchman 24/7, he is clad in God's armour, he is sober minded, diligent, he is willing to lay down his life for his brethren, he's ready at all times to share of the hope that lies within him, and he has
a heart of love...and he makes NO provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

btw: the word watchman can be removed above and the word Christian can be inserted, or 5-fold minister, or Overcomer.

Father, help us to have an attention span that is ever alert, 24/7, aware that time is ticking by and that we'll give account
of each word, thought, and action...may we redeem the time as faithful servants, in Jesus Name...Amen

Good news...God loves you.

"In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.

Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another."

More ways to walk in victory...

Live a life of praise, make it a lifestyle.

Praise is a reflection of relationship with God.

"I will bless the LORD at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth." Ps.34:1

"Praise ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God..." Ps.147:1

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God."

"O GOD, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee,

my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;

To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.

Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.

Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name."

WHY? Because He alone is worthy of our praise... and He said to!

"O Sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth.

Sing unto the LORD, bless His name; shew forth His salvation from day to day.

Declare His glory among the heathen, His wonders among all people.

For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: He is to be feared above all gods.

For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the Lord made the heavens.

Honor and majesty are before Him: strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.

Give unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the Lord glory and strength.

Give unto the LORD the glory due unto His name: bring an offering, and come into His courts.

O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before Him, all the earth.

Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: He shall judge the people righteously.

Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof.

Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice

Before the LORD: for He cometh, for He cometh to judge the earth: He shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with His truth."

Psalms 96

Hallelujah...Praise You Jesus.

Revelation 2:25

"Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that NO MAN take thy crown.

Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name."

Praying for the leaders...

We have a responsibility to pray for those in authority, which in America includes the elected officals.
Tomorrow is election day for many public offices, and while we're not of this earthly kingdom,
we are exhorted to pray for them that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life.
I believe the time is fast approaching when circumstances here in America are going to change...
As Mark said yesterday, are we ready? Do we have true Biblical faith? Are we ready for the swelling of the Jordan?(Jeremiah 12:5)
Are we doing as we're commanded and exhorted to do? Just because we don't participate in elections through voting,
we should be interceeding for the leaders(not criticizing them, II Peter 2:10) for God's will to be done here in earth even as it is in heaven.(Matt. 6:10)

"I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour." ~ I Timothy 2:1-3

"I believe the time is fast approaching when circumstances here in America are going to change..."

I have been receiving a catalog in the mail called The Source for Everything Jewish.

This past Saturday, the front of the catalog was ripped off, crumpled up, and stuffed in my front mail slot. It was not on the ground, it was keeping the slot open. The rest of the mail was between the two doors. Once the mail is slipped inside my front door, nobody can get to it unless you open the security door with a key.

Did a government employee, the mailman, really express his view of the Jew by doing this to my catelog?

I try to think the best...but I know better.

Shalom,

Causes of sickness...

...and how to walk in health.

"For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep."

For what cause? Partaking of Communion unworthily.

I Corinthians 11:23-32

Would it not also be true to say that partaking of The Lord's Supper with a pure heart before God would promote healing and health?

Could an open door to sickness be because Christians don't regularly celebrate The Lord's death, as instructed?

So many are all over celebrating pagan holidays, yet ignore Communion,

and even when it is observed many are partaking without properly examining their hearts and repenting of sins therein.

"For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come."

THE Message...

"This then is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all.

If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the Blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His Word is not in us." ~ I John 1:5-10

So what is the message?

God is light...with NO darkness.

If one says they're walking with Him and are walking in sin, they're liars.

But if one is walking with Him in obedience, there is fellowship.

Anyone saying they have NO sin is deceived and lying.

He is faithful and just to forgive us when we confess our sins.

"...that ye may also have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with The Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ."V3

"And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full." V4

Key point of 'THE Message'? Restoration of fellowship with God through the shed Blood of Jesus Christ.

His purpose was and is, to restore us, not condemn. Confession leads us to forgiveness and into relationship and fellowship with our Lord and Saviour and Heavenly Father.

Thank You Father, Thank You Jesus...

Unity...

"And He gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Till we all come in the UNITY of the faith, and of the KNOWLEDGE of The Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

But speaking the truth in love, may grow up in Him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love."

Ephesians 4:11-16

I see these scriptures to be proof text that the Body of Christ still needs apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers; that these callings didn't end in the early church(as many groups/denominations believe today). Because if the Lord placed them in the Body for the perfecting of the saints...(look around, see many perfected saints?)and until; "...WE ALL come in the UNITY of THE faith, and the KNOWLEDGE of The Son of God, unto a PERFECT man..."

How much of christianity is being tossed to and fro with every wind of doctrine? Running here and there seeking mans' wisdom and signs and wonders? Putting themselves 'under' the covering of false teachers and self-proclaimed apostles and prophets. The deceptions are popping up at an exponential rate today, almost weekly I hear or read about another group off in the flesh seeking to find/please/obey/experience God through some kooky, new age, Satan inspired 'movement'.(and it seems to be more prevelant in charismatics)

So at a time in history when we, The Body of Christ, need 5-Fold ministers like never before; Satan is sending to the undiscerning Christian, a facsimile/counterfeit to lead them astray into bondage.

I want to encourage those reading this, to make praying for true 5-Fold ministers for The Body of Christ a priority. Prayer is effectual if it is fervent and from a humble righteous believer.

It's not something that can be found by placing adds in the newpaper e.g. WANTED: Christian apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers...Watchmen, Exhortors, Intercessors...No, we need Holy Spirit anointed men, TRUE men of God, to bring The Body of Christ into UNITY.

James, what a wonderful post to remind us that the best is yet to come: to see functioning apostles, prophets, evangelist, pastors and teachers. I dare think that some who read this site or post on it fall into one of these categories and are just waiting on the Lord for them to start functioning. We are living in times that christians have looked to for many hundreds, even thousand of years, the promise of the rapture and the return of Christ to set up His millinial kingdom.
There is an exhibit at our museum here in town called Bodies Revealed, although I haven't gone to see it, there have been pictures in newspapers and magazines that show actual human bodies doing various activities, such as riding a bike, and what the muscles are doing and pictures of the different organs in our bodies. There is also a heart, where one can see all the veins and arteries of the heart. When I see how God made the human body and then think of how the body of Christ is to be, I can only be in awe of God and what He has promised us as we walk in obedience to Him. We don't have it yet, the local assembly, but it has been promised and He whom has promised will fulfill that promise. Sure will be wonderful to be able to worship with other saints again!

He is worthy of our praise...

"Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee:

and let such as love thy salvation say continually,

Let God be magnified."

Psalms 70:4

Praise Jesus

As I walked this morning in the brisk cold(27) The Lord kept reminding me of Psalms 70:4 and the word CONTINUALLY concerning the magnification of GOD.

He tells us (ALL those that seek Him) to rejoice and be glad IN HIM.

AND...for those who love His Salvation to say, CONTINUALLY...

"Let GOD be Magnified."

My desire is to live a life that is continually magnifying God. I believe as I seek Him to lead and guide me that He'll quicken by His Spirit
to me what brings magnification to Him, and what distracts.

Thought I'd share this, it is something to pray and seek Him about, especially if there are areas in our lives where we aren't seeing His promises fulfilled as we desire...maybe we aren't walking in a CONTINUAL mindset of seeking how we can be MAGNIFYING God.

"And they that know Thy name will put their trust in Thee: for Thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek Thee." ~Psalms 9:10

Do you know HIM today? Do you know His NAME? Then if you do, you WILL put your TRUST in HIM.

Putting our trust in God is not so much what we confess as it is what we DO. Many people confess to be Christian and that they "trust" in HIM, but their actions prove they don't really KNOW Him. For if they did they'd have the testimony to back it upand the testimony would be comfirmation of the promises made in His Word..."for Thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek Thee."

"And said, IF thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of The LORD thy GOD,

and wilt do that which is right in HIS sight, and wilt give ear to His commandments,

and keep all His statutes, I will put NONE of these diseases upon thee,

which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am The LORD that healeth thee.
"

~Exodus 15:26

"WHO [Jesus]His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree,

that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness:

by whose
[Jesus] stripes ye were healed."

~I Peter 2:24

Here are two wonderful promises concerning healing that are received two diffent ways. The first, was made unto the children of Israel and required total obedience to ALL that God spoke, commanded, and His statutes. It was conditional, when they failed to follow Him He allowed them to experience the consequences of their actions.

The second promise of healing, received by FAITH, through GRACE, was first mentioned in Isaiah 53 and repeated by Peter in the above passage. Are there conditions for receiving this promise as well? Yes, be a believer/follower/disciple of Jesus Christ and walk in faith.

Which one do you choose? I think there are over 600 mosaic laws, in case one decides they'd like to place themselves 'under the law'. BTW: No one has been able to keep them so far...Why would a Christian saved by Grace willing place themselves back into a position that is impossible for a man to follow?

Healing is in the Atonement, it is a free gift, not contingent upon your sacrifice, but upon the sacrifice of JESUS at Calvary. It can't be bought or sold, but it is freely available to all believers who will believe. We're saved by FAITH in Jesus and we're healed by FAITH in Jesus. Faith to believe is given by God (lest any man should boast); if you're lacking the faith to believe, get into God's WORD, pray and 'ASK'...God loves us, it's His good pleasure to give us 'good' things. Matthew 7:7-11

Amen...

And EVERY morning. I was just contemplating how that right now, all over the entire world, people are opening gifts in anticipation of what's inside...and what's wrapped in those packages are temporal, they'll be discarded, broken, lost, worn out, and gone before they know it; and yet we have given unto us,'this day' eternal promises that very, very few people are giving a second thought 'today' to opening God's Word and receiving of His promises...

JESUS, the reason NOT to participate in 'the season'...

feeling good about two things today.

The world's holiday is over, and don't feel or have that depressing spirit that goes with it.

While driving in the car, instead of being forced to hear that music, would pop in a praise tape and then hear a good HEF tape or other 5-fold minister. The peace and joy of the Lord flushed out a lot of the negative things going on around me.

The most important thing of all is having only one God and centered on him alone. Heard he was jealous, he won't share his glory with another. Like in a marriage, just one man and one woman, just one God and us, that's enough.

In observation, have seen many people who live miserable lives, who appear to be pretending to be happy. After December, It's back to reality. deception is only temporary, then comes reality. Things will never make happy in themselves. God is not of material, he only created it. True joy and happiness is not in just knowing about Jesus but knowing him personally. His word is wonderful in that it gives life, not just a education.

Giving is a wonderful thing, no strings attached, and desiring the result will be the kingdom of God built.

used to tell a little joke at work to some people. They were Christians to some degree. If anyone comes down my chimney there would be a fire waiting. Don't think he would be red if he comes down rubbing the soot off the chimney as he comes down. He would be black. Just laugh off the thing if it bothers you during the holidays because though it is not a plesant time our atitude can make a difference. Not to mention the fruit of joy will also help strengthen us. God has wonderful things for us this year no need hoping for them, they are freely given us. faith is the substance.

faith-- forsake all I trust him. Baal-- believe apostacy all lost. bible-- believe in bible life eternal.

feeling good about two things today.

The world's holiday is over, and don't feel or have that depressing spirit that goes with it.

Not to admonish but encourage, we don't have to experience a depressing spirit during the times the world is having pagan celebrations. I think the 'seed' is sown by all the secular information that's out there stating how depressed people become around this time of year(and we know that as far as the world goes, it's true...people take their own lives due to the weight of depression) But for Christians who have chosen to walk in the truth of God's Word, it should be a joyous time. Regardless of what the world is doing on December 25th, for us, it is the day that The Lord hath made and we're instructed to rejoice and be glad in it. Once I allowed The Holy Spirit to minister these truths to my heart, the victory over 'feelings' was accomplished. (That's not to say I'm not glad when it's over because I don't care for the advertisements, music, and door greeters, and explaining 'WHY' I don't....)

While driving in the car, instead of being forced to hear that music, would pop in a praise tape and then hear a good HEF tape or other 5-fold minister. The peace and joy of the Lord flushed out a lot of the negative things going on around me.

My point prezactly...Satan tries to 'turn everything around' on us and make us feel guilty about family gatherings and having to always be explaining what and why we believe what we believe...Our additude makes all the difference in whatever we're going through...I try to remember what Jesus went through, willingly, for me...adjusts my additude pretty quickly.

Comfort and hope while in affliction...

This is something The Lord put in my heart as an encouragement while going through trials.

Psalms 119:49-50

"Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.

This IS my comfort in my affliction: for Thy Word hath quickened me."

The promise of health and healing is given unto us from God in His WORD, and in this,(the promise that He will honor His Word) we place our hope/faith. The understanding of this is our comfort during afflictions, because believing THAT Word has made alive our faith so that we can, with assurance, be comforted knowing He will perform His Word unto anyone who will believe Him.

The cross...

What does taking up the cross of Jesus and being crucified mean for His disciples? We're set apart from the world, we're new creatures in Him. Our desires change, our habits change, our reactions to others change...we are humbled by this change and it's reflected in our daily lives.

God's Word tells us how His mercies are new every morning; there's something else that needs to happen every morning, we need to be sure we're on the cross...examine ourselves to see if we be in the faith...there is a rest for God's children, but at the same time scriptures reveal to us that we're in a spiritual battle with the enemy...that battle often involves the fleshly desires that don't want to surrender to The Lordship of Jesus Christ...It MUST, for only those who are walking in the spirit are walking with God...How can we know? The fruit produced in our lives...

The cross is voluntary, but it is essential...and it's personal, each one must decide to willing summit to it daily.

Remember this old hymn? Must Jesus bear the cross alone and all the world go free?
No, there's a cross for everyone, and there's a cross for me.

"But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.

And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God."

Galatians 6:14-16

More on The cross...

"Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross."

~Philippians 2:5-8

Here in Philippians, we have described by Paul, the mindset of Jesus in humbling Himself and becoming as a servant, obedient even unto death. We're told to have the same mind...servants, obedient, humble, and take up the cross and follow Him. That cross entails death to us just as it did for Him. Here's another scripture from Philippians that reminds us of this... (suffering/death of ourselves/flesh).

"For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on Him, but also to suffer for His sake."~ Philippians 1:29

There's not a lot of people proclaiming this message, it runs contrary to the 'reign and rule/prosperity/best life now' gospel that is so prevalent today. How can we incorporate and apply these teachings to our daily lives? Only by the direction and guidance of The Holy Spirit; but we must take the initiative, "LET, THIS MIND BE IN YOU..."

Revoked Invitation...

"A certain man made a great supper, and bade many:

And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready.

And they ALL with one consent began to make excuse..."

"For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper."

Luke 14:16-18 & 24

Excuses, Excuses, we hear them every day, many times we make them ourselves; but there will be no excuses acceptable unto Jesus in that day. We're admonished to examine ourselves to see if we be in the faith; the clock is ticking, the time is nearer than when we first believed...it's time to lay aside EVERY weight (excuse) that would keep us from that which is promised to those who build upon THE ROCK, JESUS CHRIST, to sup with Him forever. He is The bread of life and The water of life, what else is there?

It's like comparing McDonald's to a five-star restaurant, only even more extreme.

Self Examination...

"The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.

The Lord is good to all: and His tender mercies are over all His works.

All Thy works shall praise Thee, O Lord; and Thy saints shall bless Thee.

They shall speak of the glory of Thy kingdom, and talk of Thy power;

To make known to the sons of men His mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of His kingdom.

Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Thy dominion endureth throughout all generations."

Psalms 145:8-13

This is just for the purpose of self examination, not judging anyone. This forum is an excellent place to share of God's goodness in our lives, to praise Him, to bless Him, to speak and talk of Him, to make known His mighty acts. Do we take advantage of this opportunity? If we're hesitant or fearful to boldly proclaim what He's given us here where most don't know who we are, are we doing it in one on one situations? Just something to think about...He didn't open our eyes and ears unto truth for us to keep it for just ourselves and our families.

David said this..."I will extol Thee, my God, O King; and I will bless Thy name for ever and ever.

Every day will I bless Thee; and I will praise Thy name of ever and ever.

Great is The Lord, and greatly to be praised..." Amen.

I Corinthians 15:58

"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable,

always abounding in the work of The Lord,

forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in The Lord."

May He that has called us to walk even as He walked, finish that which He has begun in us, that we not only talk of Him but walk with Him, to the Glory of God through Christ Jesus our Lord.

"Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."

Confessing and forsaking...

"He that covereth his sins shall not prosper:

but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.
"

Proverbs 28:13

The Lord has been prodding and nudging at my heart concerning what is required and desired by Him of me. I know that I'm not where I should be or even could be and I know the reason is the lack of total commitment 24/7 to the cross. In my heart and with my understanding I grasp the purpose of the cross, yet in times when The Holy Spirit presents me with the opportunity to willingly offer up my flesh unto death, I find myself resisting and making excuses.

The things of this world, the pride of life, and the lusts of the flesh stand as major roadblocks in a christian's life if they aren't dealt with. God is not going to use people in His end-time army who aren't dead to themselves, and we can't be walking in holiness and true righteousness with parts of our lives held back from God. He requires total commitment, it's delusional to think one is an 'overcomer' or is going to be chosen as one, when we haven't taken up our cross and followed Him completely. There's a song that keeps playing in my spirit that goes like this...

"Turn your eyes upon Jesus,

Look full in His wonderful face,

And the things of earth will grow strangely dim

In the light of His glory and grace."

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God."

What an awesome blessing and confirmation for me today!

He was seriously dealing with me about being in this world, but not of it. I have and am learning the consequences when you let go of anything that would hold me back. I have lost much in the world's eyes. But, today, my heart has never been so full and excited about what is to come.

Friends, family, people will always forsake you at some point. It is just human. They will always disappoint. "Stuff" never satisfies. I am so glad I know not to walk by feelings or by what people think of me.

I think the more we learn to walk in the spirit, or I call it living in the border state, the stranger we become to people. JMO When I speak the Word we were taught, I am hearing the word wierd more and more as a response. Rolling Eyes Sadly, I am hearing it even from some who agreed with me when at FA. Crying or Very Sad

"In this world, I'll seek not a home, they can take all I own, but they can't touch what's real to me." Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

No they can't take Jesus from me for He lives in my heart and He's all I need. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

For Jesus has called to my heart, He said follow me, from this world come apart. Sad Cool Confused Smile Laughing

And I know eternal life in Jesus is true, in this world I'm just a pilgrim passing through." Very Happy Carl Seitz

Follow up testimony concerning yesterdays post on confessing and forsaking; I will state the facts as best I understand them and others can make their own conclusions.

As I finished the post I stood up and started to walk into another room, I felt an uncomfortable twinge in my left foot. Within 15-30 minutes my foot was hurting to the point I couldn't put any weight on it. All I could think of was maybe a stress-fracture in the arch of my foot(I play a good bit of tennis, and run a lot); though I couldn't remember having any pain before. There was no swelling, it wasn't in my ankle, yet it felt like an abscessed tooth on steroids.(and I'm not exaggerating) My first thoughts were ' how can I sleep with this?' Then, 'I'll tough it out, I've got appointments tomorrow and can't miss work, even if I stay up all night I'll still show up'.(we also got a couple inches of snow, another good excuse to just prop up my feet and stay home)

I prayed and claimed my healing as I have done for many years, but this time I felt it was more than just a trial of healing, it was more of a sudden attack from Satan and I was being tested as to what I had been dealing with concerning the cross and total commitment that I had written about lately. This morning it was all I could do to put my foot on the floor and hobble around, (all the more reason to give in, the enemy tried telling me). I prayed in The Spirit and determined to prepare for work just are normal, it was something to see, me going down a flight of snow covered stairs trying to keep the weight off my left foot. When I arrived at the office, 47 miles trip, my foot hardly hurt at all, by the time I had walked through the office and got everything ready for the day, there was NO PAIN whatsoever. Now there's no sign that it ever happened, I feel fine.

I believe it was a spiritual test and an opportunity to see if I'd really do what I was confessing and believing, and giving me the chance to make the choice.

You decide for yourselves, some things can be explained away by those unwilling to acknowledge God's power in our lives, I'm not a doctor so I can't say what happened from a natural stand point, but I can attest to the results of prayer...It don't hurt no more...And I choose to give God ALL the glory and praise. Amen!

What happened to that promise?

1970-80's...Ever said this? 'Lord, thank you for saving me, thank you for opening my eyes to the truth, thank you for the revelation of faith, thank you for Your Word taught me by Brother Freeman...Lord, I'll never compromise, I'll never forsake You, I'm an overcomer, I walk by faith, I will follow You wheresoever You lead me.'

"And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God." Luke 9:62

"When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for He hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed." Ecclesiastes 5:4

Has lukewarmness crept into your life? Has your zeal for Christ waned? Remember the promise you made unto Him...He is longsuffering and full of mercy, repent and return unto your first love, Jesus.

"As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent." Rev. 3:19

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God."

Responsibility of a Christian...

"For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of The great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee."

Titus 2:11-15

Acts 17:11 Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.

If the Breans searched the scriptures daily to see if what Paul and Silas said was true, How much more should we do it today?
