for those of you who don't get the Stratfor reports here is a recent one. If you haven't read it's quite interesting

http://www.stratfor.com/weekly/us-foreign-policy-room-regrou p?utm_source=freelist-f&utm_medium=email&utm_campaig n=20121113&utm_term=gweekly&utm_content=readmore& ;elq=b556da653f8b41549f7b7b18a5742776

The point I want to make is that everything in the world seems to be going in circles. Its end times things are happening but . . . not really. I read constantly from conservative christian sources that the end is near/the rapture right around the corner/woe is us/Iran/ prophecy fullfilled in front of our eyes etc.
One of our people here has been posting stuff about dictatorship coming to America. I think there is something to that but it doesn't really address the subject I'm raising.

Yes the world is getting worse we're in endtimes but nothing really seems to be happening. Its just business as usual. The usual wars/famines/pestilences. More of them but not on the scale one would expect to see.

I think the reason is because we are in the "Time the bridegroom has delayed his coming" At some point things are really going to start happening. I think its going to come suddenly but it isn't here yet.

Fires will be kindled to testify that two and two make four. Swords will be drawn to prove that leaves are green in summer.”

Hey Mark,

In the article the author states that the U.S. needs to
"put the 'war on terror' into perspective and rethink domestic security." The 'war on terror' has become an industry cash cow of it's own for all the government offices and jobs that have been created since 9/11, not to mention all the oportunities for contractors and arms manufacturers. War and fear of war/terrorism are big business, too many people benefit financially for there to be peace, even if it was achievable.

I agree with you in that it does seem that things aren't happening 'on the scale that one would expect to see'; yet we are admonished and warned to be looking and expecting at all times...(remember the times of Noah and the parable of the 10 virgins...) Just don't grow complacent(not saying you are, just reminding us all.) It could all start into a fast pace almost overnight, an attack by enemies; and natural tragedy with devestating results; the economy failing; or any number of events could trigger a change.

That's why, as you mentioned in another post on politics that we should be praying for our leaders instead of mouthing off about them.
