I don't know how many know anything about Tommy Shelton Sr, he was the pastor of the Clanton, Alabama Assembly.(and my pastor for 9 years) He was at one time close with Bruce Kinsey and Jim Oswalt and taught the same message that was taught at Faith Assembly.

Today he was killed in a plane crash in Forest City, Iowa. He was a pilot in Vietnam and continued his love of flying through the years. After closing the Clanton assembly in 1989 he got back into flying and has been piloting planes ever since. The last few years he has flown a private jet out of Destin, Florida where he lived.(he was the only person on board)

If anyone knows or remembers the Shelton family, I would ask for prayers for them. He leaves behind a wife and three children and four grandchildren.

Having lost family and friends to death in the last couple of months, I am all the more reminded of Ps 31:15 My (our) times are in thy hands.

Two and one half years after his dad was killed in a plane crash, Tommy Shelton Jr. was killed in a speedboat crash yesterday, Tommy was 40.

I would ask for prayers for his wife, who was injured in the accident, his two sons, mother and two sisters; this is the second sudden tragic death in this family.

I am so sorry for this family. I am praying for the peace of Jesus to reign in their hearts.

Shalom,
