David Wilkerson was killed today in an auto crash in Texas. His wife was also injured and is in a hospital.

Here is a link from his church.
There will be a service streamed for all to participate.

Wilkerson posted a blog dated April 27 -- the day of his death. In the post, titled "When All Means Fail," he encouraged those facing difficulty to "hold fast" and stand strong in faith.

"To those going through the valley and shadow of death, hear this word: Weeping will last through some dark, awful nights, and in that darkness you will soon hear the Father whisper, "I am with you,'" Wilkerson wrote. "Beloved, God has never failed to act but in goodness and love. When all means fail-his love prevails. Hold fast to your faith. Stand fast in his Word. There is no other hope in this world."

Update on David Wilkerson Service

At present the Wilkerson family has requested a private family
funeral in Texas.

Rev. Wilkerson’s wife, Gwen, who was injured in the accident, is still in the hospital under observation and expected to recover.

The official memorial service will be held at Times Square Church in New York City within the next two weeks. The service will be streamed live on the Times Square Church website. Details regarding the service will be posted on our website as they develop.

For closest friends, denominational leaders and dignitaries who wish to attend the service please forward inquiries to memorialservice@timessquarechurch.org. Seating will be limited.

Thank you for all your prayers and the outpouring of love you have shown for the Wilkerson family. We are comforted by knowing that Pastor David has been enjoying the full presence of the Lord for more than a day now.

God bless.

Pastor Carter Conlon

My wife and I went to hear him speak in our little town back in 78. Dallas Holm and Praise were with him. It was quite a good service.

I remember reading The Sword and the Switchblade along with the movie. They were really good.
