Its unreal how many people are coming here on a daily basis! Yet very few are posting. I wonder why?

Good morning! I'm new to the site. I posted on factnet.org and someone there pointed me to this site.

Hi Dave,

Welcome to the board.

Your note on factnet indicated your mom had started a commune? Was that "the Gilmore House"?

I don't know anything about it, but I vaguely remember people referring to the Gilmore house when we first moved to Indiana in the late 70s/early 80s.

I want to believe!

Yes. We started having people move-in back in 1971 through 1974 and all attended Dr. Freeman's home church, the Glory Barn, and later Faith Assembly. Quite a crazy bunch of hippies and new born believers.

So much pain communicated on the factnet.org site. Bitterness abounds. My wife and I lost a son during our years there, later divorced, and experienced a number of other troubles over the years but I have never blamed someone else for these things. We were open-eyed believers making hopeful choices and focused decisions.

Bitter or better . . . you make the choice. God is sovereign and works all things together for our good through His great love for us. That's the key to balance . . . the love of God.

Nice chatting with you . . .

Dave
