a spiritual encounter.

a few days ago, reading the words that mentioned a token. sat there and thought about it and then remembered Jabez. He asked God for a token for good, that God would bless him and keep him from evil.

Well that encouraged to pray the same prayer--including a token of God's blessing. Yesterday while driving home, there was a rainbow. The bible calls the bow a token. It is a covenant. When getting home said to my wife, I saw a rainbow she said wow. She was at her church that morning. she is filling in for a sister by teaching a class till she returns from having her baby.

She was teaching on Noah's ark. What could be a greater token for good than that. The Lord is working to draw my wife from a church that believes in miracles, to a husband who experiences them.

In Acts 2:46 and 5:42 it mentions they are in the temple daily, and going house to house. This also is daily. It appears that they are eating together and have preaching and teaching of the word. The reason for mentioning this is the experience in Indiana when sitting at the table in different homes.

The brethren who ministered to my needs on visits were wonderful. One family would supply a sleeping quarters, which also would supply bread. Others would take turns invite to dinner.

No matter what we were doing we were fellowshipping which included the word. Some would invite others who showed delight in fellowship, and we sat long periods of time telling testimonies ,experiences, while eating. The joy of it proved it was a profitable excercize.

Being I live a Smith Wigglesworth life style, the Holy Spirit always sees to it that those who are hungry for spiritual and physical bread are surrounding me. Today while in MacDonalds the Lord moved right into a several people fellowship. That included the manager who said You can fellowship with me any day shift.

Wherever I go at any moment revcival always breaks out, this has happened almost 40 years now. Last week a gal said I like that--- she saw me at the dinner table reading the bible with my spare time, it sits right there on the table. A fellow at work never said anything till yesterday. Just casual talk. Then he broke out with the fact that he is a former Pentecostal preacher. Hadn't heard that statement in a while, he doesn't believe in the stuff they are teaching today about being saved and living any way you want to. He says a lot of people will be surprised when they find they didn't make it to heaven.

My prayers for him are that he will fulfill what he told me. He said he didn't become a preacher by his own desire but was called and learned the word. for his calling. Not my place to question him, but to pray he finds God's perfect will. May all who are in a denomination heed the call come out of her my people.

May add God sent a prophet into the church I was inhe was there to do just that --help people find truth and come out. Psalms one works, meditate on the word day and night then God will prosper your way and give you good success. God bless.

Here's a testimony that's a bit different...

About 7-8 months ago a couple moved into the building I live in and commenced to cause trouble right away, up all night partying and disturbing everyone else. It was during the time of year when I'm working preparing income taxes and have to get up very early, needing to get 'some' sleep at night. Well, I went to them and tried 'talking' to them, didn't do any good. I realised I had a problem that I needed help with so I prayed about it.

Soon after tax season ended I became aware that they were dealing drugs(serious drug dealers, not just selling a couple of ounces of pot to supplement their own habit...They didn't work and drove a new Corvette). Not that anywhere is immune to drugs, but I live where there is supposed to be screening of residents(a private gated community) and this became an immediate cause for concern. So I started praying daily for wisdom in how to deal with it(I informed proper authorities, managment, and those living nearby). After exhausting every avenue I could think of (without giving in to the flesh and taking care of the problem, physically) I started pressing in in prayer for The Lord to intervene...

Today the sheriff's department evicted them...the offical reason was violation of their lease agreement by causing too many complaints against them...

The real reason...PRAYER

I am seriously thankful for God delivering me (and my neighbors) from that situation. No violence, gun-play, physical altercations,(all of which were solutions given unto me in the way of advise by others) Nonresistance works, because it's God's way for Christians to live, and He will honor the faith of those who seek to walk according to His Word.

A-men.

This is certainly a blessing to see how God moved on your behalf. Your time of testing with them is over and sounds like
you were victorious. Sometimes the flesh would like to deal with things in the flesh, but ultimately God's way is always the best. I have found that when looking back on a trial the Lord was there knowing just what I needed to help me see things in my life that needed to be changed or died to.
I had a very Godly friend who would always encourge me to get the victory and overcome the first time so I wouldn't need to keep going around that mountain, but rather let God do the work in me so I could be victorious in Christ. I pray the Lord give you nice neighbors who are respectful of others and maybe even christians.

The boss called on the phone

It is a desire here to minister to you and not just give a praise report. This is a key principle learned by the Holy Spirit, you cannot question a testimony so much if it reveals the glory to God other than saying the Lord pleased me through a manifestation. Do you see what is said here???

So follow this pattern--- the boss calls on your day off which is a sunday. The challenge will be to say or think the wrong things. That's when you apply the crucify the self principle. The more you grow the less you have to crucify.

Here is how to do it best--- In the mind-- this is a opportunity to serve my boss, love him and be a help in his time of need. This should produce friendship and favor. In my case several times he wanted to say thanks for coming in to help me. He wanted to show he meant it.

When at work, 2 opportunities came about to share Jesus. They were at the right time, where it is permissible.

When getting home there was a delicious meal waiting. In the mind there was the satisfaction of knowing God prospered with a extra days pay-- needed. The air conditioner which was given a few years ago has been down a few days , but my mother in law has a unit in a bedroom that is never used. It runs good and that saved a $100.00 dollars.

The Lord caused me to see something on the way home from work so he could impress concerning a double portion. When worshipping the Lord a special anointing came and a series of songs came that were known. there were 2 songs in the series needed and the Lord gave them. That was the double portion. The presence of God was very strong on those.

God has appointed and predestinated all events to bring him glory, we just have to apply those spiritual principles which he has given us. Please understand I don't use the corrective technique when telling people to do something. That can mislead to thoughts in minds of people that your legalistic.

example--- you shouldn't put the icing on the cake till you take the cake from the oven. that may sound corrective, in Greek they say imperitive (command) but it is not, it is instructive and winds up being Greek indicative (fact) to be a good leader you have to be gentle with people and realise where you have come from by grace. The whole Greek thing was just a fun way of getting accross a point.

It is a real priviledge to be around God's real sheep and they are very much appreciated. The very Christ that I love dearly lives inside their very being. He and they are precious. the union with Christ makes them unseperable-- the only difference is he gets all the glory. may his grace pour down like rain on them right now in Jesus name.

Bro. Dave, I enjoyed your testimony about dying out to self and ministering to your boss. May God give us all the grace to do so with people in this world. I, myself, am trying to deal with that principle daily. Razz Mad Confused Sad Crying or Very Sad Rolling Eyes.... Laughing

Also, I appreciate your testimonies about how He supplies your needs. He is so faithful and I, too, am always blessed as to His many "coincidences" that happen in our lives.

I have been wondering about your music. Feel free to post your songs as He reveals them to you. I think it would be a huge blessings for all to hear them. Smile

Shalom,

GWB

REFLECTION AND THANKSGIVING.

I have recently surpassed 70 years on my journey through this foreign land on my way to my heavenly home to be with the master. I have been reflecting on just my physical blessings.

How many times does a heart beat in 70 plus years. Innumerable to me and yet The Lord has blessed every beat and for that I thank Him.

I just took another breath. How many breaths did He allow in 70 plus years. In numberable and for that I thank him.

He has blessed me with eye sight to admire the beauty of His creation. I guess that's why I love flowers so much. For that I thank Him.

He blessed me with the ability to taste and to eat and for that I thank Him.

He blessed me with hearing so that I can hear the birds singing praises to Him and to enjoy worship and praise. For this I thank Him.

All these blessings that are so easy to take for granted. I praise and thank The Lord that He has blessed me all these years. He is faithful to His children.

I rejoice with you Grandom! Thanks for sharing your blessings, because so many are not thankful for the little things they have, nor for the big things.
Such as water to drink, food at the grocery store, gas for our cars, freedom(at least at this point), a Bible to read, and the schools that we went to that taught us to read. The list is unending of all the blessings we have.

May the Lord bless you abundantly in the coming year, and thank you for sharing on this site, I have been extremely blessed by all the wisdom you have given us.

I am thankful for you and your reaching 70 as well.

Thanks for being there with wisdom that living to 70 brings.

What you share is usually short, sweet, and to the point. It always tickles me to see just how short you can keep it which a good example for me, too. Rolling Eyes Laughing

Thank you Gwb.

Last night and this morning this song has been going through my mind and spirit so I thought I would share it.

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my father!
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not:
As thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.

Chorus
Great is Thy faithfulness,
Great is Thy faithfulness,
Morning by morning new mercies I see:
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me!
Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above,
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

Chorus
Great is Thy faithfulness,
Great is Thy faithfulness,
Morning by morning new mercies I see:
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me!
Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth.
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide,
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

Chorus
Great is Thy faithfulness,
Great is Thy faithfulness,
Morning by morning new mercies I see:
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me!

Oh Lord. Thank you for your faithfullness.
Be Blessed

Congrats brother, you don't look a day over 69... Smile

Seriously, we do have so much to be thankful for, and one of the things I'm thankful for is having you as a brother in The Lord. May He continue to bless you as you grow in wisdom and understanding of Him.

I find it interesting how The Holy Spirit is putting these songs in our hearts lately from the old hymn books...I used to not care too much for them; now they minister to my spirit as I go through the day.

Yep! Great IS His faithfulness...
