I have seen a few tidbits mentioning him as attending Faith Assembly. Was he a member or visitor? How long did he stay? Did he disagree in doctrine? Did he receive the Holy Spirit baptism?

I have a good friend that knew Ray Boltz when he was at Purdue I think. He attended the Lafayette meeting for a while as I am told. The problem was that he intended upon a career as a Christian Singing Artist, and was told by some well meaning people that he couldn't be a part of the world that way. He needed to remain, as Carl Seitz did, off the worlds radar. I personally enjoy Ray Boltz' music and believe he has done a service to the Christian community with his music. May have influenced more people to come to Christ or go deeper with the Lord than Carl ever was able to do. I love Carl's music, and made it a point to learn nearly every song he wrote. I felt it needed to be preserved somehow.

There wasn't an official membership "roll" so I can't say he was or wasn't a member. You just started coming - and kept coming until you didn't want to anymore or did something outlandish and got booted. Ray Boltz went there for some time...........no way of officially stating how long he attended. He was certainly more than what you could consider a "visitor".

He would get up and sing..........nice stuff.........although I rather preferred Carl Seitz myself.

Gauging from how many years I recall him getting up and singing specials at church, I'd say he attended 3 or 4 years - but that's just the best of my recollection.......

I know my parents have a picture of him singing at their wedding in Winamac in in 1974.

I think he may have been associated with the group led there at that time by Jeff Barnett.
