Hey guys. This may not mean much to you'll down there in the southern US or across the pond down under but . . . let me tell you the ground is shaking here in the frozen north.
Canada just won the gold medal in hockey against the US in the Olympics. I'm not very nationalistic but it was very hard not to feel proud of our team.
Trust me on this guys. The ground is shaking here in Canada right about now. 6:30 Sunday night.
Of course having said all that there is only one gold medal I want to win. And that of course is the one Jesus gives out when he returns in the clouds

What? hockey...Nope, you're right, not much interest in hockey down here...We're still watch college football reruns...in Alabama, (I'm sure some of the northern brethren had an interest in the game)
Just kidding you Mark, I actually was watching when Crosby scored the winning goal in OT. Also, as suprising as this may sound, I wanted Canada to win since ya'll were the host nation and hadn't won as many medals as had been expected. Of couse, winning the gold in hockey probably made up for it in many folks eyes.
Congratulations...
speaking of ground shaking...sure is a lot of that going on around the world.

Hi Mark,
I am sure the celebrations in Canada will be going on for days with winning the gold medal. Too bad the coach of Canada, Mike Babcock, isn't doing as well with the Detroit Red Wings this season. And we don't even want to get into some of his poor decisions in coaching for the Stanley Cup last year. I am not even sure they will make the playoffs this year.
I would hope many people from the USA would also be proud of the Olympic team, as most did not even think they would play for the gold. Whoever books the flights out of Canada actually had the USA team leaving yesterday! Well, you know the old saying, win some(unless you are a Detroit Lions fan) and lose some. Just kidding about the Lions, they won 2 games in the last 2 years.
Enjoy the victory, but as they say: just wait till 4 years from now, then it will be USA, USA. That is, if there is a USA yet and the rapture hasn't happened.

Ha Ha, it's not on the Bulletin Board...it's in the Coffee Break room.
Grab a cup of coffee and relax a bit...
I'm sure you're tired after 5 days of celebration.
