I found this really interesting. A group of scientists has found a burnt-out city/area consistent with the biblical account. Of course, they relate it to a meteor burst, but it wouldn't take much to relate that to fire and brimstone from heaven. Just for the record, I think it was a supernatural judgment from heaven.

They found it in the area where it happened: just over the border in Jordan, south and east of the Dead Sea.

I found the article as I was looking around for the next trip to Israel. It would really be nice to see this. The article is 3-4 years old so maybe others have seen it.
