Okay, I know everyone is scrambling to see where this group might fit into the prophetic picture... Well?
What are your thoughts at this point?
Blessings,
William

Hi William,
I just saw this post for the first time this morning. I don't quite understand what your implying as I thought Iraq and Syria were already Islamic. I'm a little confused here I guess. LOL
I met some people yesterday and in the course of the conversation they said they were from Persia. The lady told me there was a lot of people living in our town who were from Persia. It was the first I had ever heard of this.
I was hesitant to ask her, but are they calling "Iran" Persia now?
Lord Bless,
Gary

I'm talking about the group called ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria). They've taken over a huge swathe of land from Syria to Iraq and are being hailed as the most powerful terrorist group in the world.
They are imposing Islamic law on each new bit of territory they acquire. Those who resist, or those who are perceived as threats, are beheaded, or in some cases, crucified.
I suspect we'll be hearing more from this group in the coming months.
Blessings,
William

William,
I've only heard bits and pieces about this war. I seen a picture where these people had a large group of men lined up and they were getting ready to execute all of them.
It's amazing how a "religion" will kill off its own group, (those who follow the teachings of Allah)and demand obedience to follow their way of thinking. Their basically forcing people to obey for what purpose, making sure they get into this imaginary heaven they've created?
Thinking here for a moment we seen this taking place in Christianity as well during the dark ages. When Roman Catholics tortured people and made them convert to the Roman Catholic Church.
This all must relate somehow to how sinful men are before God. When they force their views on each other in the name of religion.
At this point I think Marilyn's Uncle was on to something in his book:
Quote: | Marilyn wrote: My take on that is because it is the center of the superpowers interest in the Middle East at the moment. Russia supporting President Assad with arms etc while America is on the Islamic Rebels side. Basically it is a fight between the Shiites & the Sunnis (Islamic groups).
As Uncle said 22 years ago in 1992, `Watch Iraq, Syria & Jordan.` And the media is certainly doing that.

There may be more here then what we ever realized.
I was thinking that the prince of "Persia" (a principality), withstood Michael (the angel from God)from going to Daniel. This power of darkness is still working and controlling men's lives in that area of the world, which ultimately may play a part in the Antichrist coming on the world scene.
We spent billions of dollars removing Saddam from ruling over the land and the moment we pulled out it goes back to the way it was before the war. Shiites fighting Sunnis or vice versa. I cannot ever see real peace in any of that area of the world. Iraq the birthplace of humanity will be the place where man is finally destroyed.
You mentioned we may be seeing more from this group in the future.
I have read where some of these people are now trying to get sharia law passed in this country as well. You would never of dreamed years ago that people from other countries would come here and bring their own laws and try to follow them rather then our laws of the land.
It seems to be getting more obvious that the "handwriting is on the wall for America". It's amazing how everything can be fine one moment and then people wake up one morning only to find the whole world changed overnight.
Anyway just sharing some random thoughts on all of this.
In Him,
Gary
