Gary,
I answered Tom with this same scripture (Exodus 12:13)and example in message #9580 on Thursday, June 20, 2013 under the thread about "What is the Biblical meaning of the word faith" to his assertion that pleading The Blood of Jesus wasn't NT and was therefore invalid(along with a list of other practices he didn't agree with...'taught by man').
There are many testimonies and examples of people being delivered from various situations when 'pleading The Blood of Jesus'...and I've heard where just crying out the name, "Jesus" saved people from whatever was coming against them. It's not a ritual or 'saying', it's releasing faith in Him, Jesus and what the shedding of His Blood bought for those born again...salvation, deliverance, healing, provision, protection, restoration, reconciliation to God, ect.
“But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us,”

I don't think its wrong to make a statement concerning scripture and add some word to describe its meaning, for instance, to say "Grace is amazing" is a "fact" but we cannot find this statement in scripture.
