I caught a bit of the nightly news last night and saw an interesting clip concerning the flu shot vaccine. In Goshen, Indiana(that caught my attention being so close to FA) at Elkhart General Hospital 8 employees were fired for refusal to take the flu shot. Several were nurses and a couple of them were interviewed. One lady had worked there for over 40 years and had alway been allowed an exemption due to 'religious beliefs' but no longer. Another woman said her decision was "God-led". I thought there for a minute they were doing a piece on Hobart Freeman and those nuts in the corn field...<rolling my eyes, written as a bit of after the fact, humor.>

Now I found that to be interesting in 2 ways, one, medical workers(nurses) refusing the shots because they 'knew' the dangers that came with injecting the human body with those toxins; and two, refusal due to religious convictions.(I was elated to hear people still had them, religious conviction.) So this morning I thought I'd make a comment in a post and share this info with everyone but before I did I thought maybe I'd Google the story and see if my memory was correct in the location and number of fired employees. I was suprised to find that just Googling 'nurses fired for refusing flu shots' didn't take me to this particular story but led to a list of accounts of nurses refusing flu shot across the country(Colorado), so I had to add 'in Indiana'. "WOW!"

Anyway, I thought some would possibly not have seen or heard of this yet(maybe Mark in Canada...lol) It made me wonder if those women were ex-FA or maybe Amish?

Their convictions cost them their jobs, O to God that more 'Christians' HAD godly convictions and were willing to follow Jesus where-so-ever He led.

The media is making a big deal out of this flu shot business. Quite a few nurses have been fired over this. I was in the grocery store and a message comes over the intercom, If you would like a flu shot we now have a nurse up front by the pharmacy counter.

Will it come down to being forced to take medicine?

With the government forcing health care on people and now this situation with the flu shot it makes you wonder.

There is no guarantee you will not get the flu if you get the shot, in fact most of the people who get the flu shot end up coming down with the flu.

It appears to me the main motive is "money". Millions of people get a shot at x amount of dollars, then they go to the hospital with the disease to get further treatment from the flu which they invariably catch. Medical Science gets a healthy return on all the income that is generated.

If they can get 300 million people to get a shot for whatever amount they charge this is very big money being raked in.

Kids cannot go to school unless they get their shot, nurses cannot go to work unless they get the shot, Where does it go from here?

This thread was over 7 years ago... it seems more and more likely that the government will eventually force things.

Blessings,
