In late 2020 our friend Dennis came down with Covid . He was admitted to the hospital and he deteriorated rapidly. Much prayer had been offered for him by way of, "if it be thy will", "thy will be done", "oh, you know what's best for him", typical church prayers. Yes, we had lifted him up in prayer apart from all that in the Spirit, but knowing that Dennis believed " it was Gods will for him to be sick and his sickness was Glorify God, we could not release much faith in the matter. Dennis was transfered to ICU and put on a ventilator, a few days later they called in the family to say good bye.
His son reached out to our Sunday night fellowship group, which Dennis was a part of,and asked us if we would come to the hospital and pray. The next night we gathered in the chapel at the hospital, as they started the prayer session I took the lead and said.......We need to be in agreement before we pray ! (Mt 18:19) Do want God to kill him, or heal him ? "We want God to heal him " Ok ! We are going to offer up prayer for healing and then we are going to offer up thanks for that healing ! Amen !!!
Then we are going to pass around this bandana, that God told me to bring (Acts 19), touch it with your love and compassion. Thank you Jesus.
We gave it to his son, he took it up and placed it under his pillow, within 24 hours he was off the vent, within 5 days he was discharged from the hospital and he is with us today.
Praise be to Jesus !
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:7
