President Hussein has provided an "open cheque" for the task and even brought men from the battle-front for the project. Alongside the road from Baghdad scores of brickmaking factories are working full blast. All bricks used bear the inscription "Restored in the Era of
Saddam Hussein". The area will be artificially irrigated for the replanting of the Hanging Gardens.

Babylon has been rebuilt! It is later than we think!

The Antichrist and his Associate will appropriate, enlarge and modernise it as their Headquarters and the Capital City of the World. Wealthy business enterprises and stock markets will quickly transfer their core of operation. Shops, stores and warehouses will be stocked with exotic and rare goods from every country. It will be universally recognised as the focal point of commerce. (Rev. 18)

It would be interesting to see what progress they have made since Hussein has been removed from office.

The building of the city in the OT is an interesting account:

Quote:

11 Now the whole earth had one language and one speech. 2 And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar, and they dwelt there. 3 Then they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They had brick for stone, and they had asphalt for mortar. 4 And they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.”

5 But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built. 6 And the Lord said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them. 7 Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.” 8 So the Lord scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth, and they ceased building the city. 9 Therefore its name is called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth; and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of all the earth.

Everyone spoke the same language at that time in history. This whole story is just amazing in itself.

I wonder if they are reconstructing the "tower", it would be something to see but I could imagine very expensive to build.

Hi Gary,

Thought you might like to see an update of Babylon. It`s on Utube & called `The Future of Babylon.` There are other videos there also. Quite interesting & informative. And you can see why it will be a great tourist destination, being billed as the birth place of civilisation.

This is new to me at least.

Where is this found in the Bible?

`Morning Gary,

This is the scripture you wanted -

`He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men.` (Rev. 13: 13)

People will be absolutely awestruck.

Hi Marilyn,

Your Uncles definitely done his research here, connecting a lot of the dots.

To be honest there is only a few areas that I see as being different from the historical view.

Mainly, The ten Arab confederation under the one world ruler and the area concerning this Antichrist being an Assyrian.

Recent world events are interesting as well. The Crimea is now officially part of Russia. A prime location above Turkey. Putin knows now the world will not try to stop him from moving on to other conquests.

I thought our country acted like it was intimidated by Putin, so we put sanctions on a few bureaucrats, because we don't want to offend the Russian bear. The world is sick of the thought of another major war, a one world ruler would look pretty good to them right now, especially if he's claiming to restore their economies.

Have you heard about these prophecies and visions, where they are saying China will invade America and there will be Chinese troops walking the streets of America?

They've been around (prophecies and visions), for a number of years now, and I think a lot of Christians think it will happen, the reason is, because this country is so wicked that God will eventually judge it.

I don't know for sure on this one as it is not shown in scripture, about China attacking America. But who knows anything could happen, there have been a lot of modern day visions that never came to pass. I only mention this in passing because of what you shared concerning the Kings of the East.

I don't think we as Christians should be nonchalant in thinking our Lord delays His Coming.

Gary

Hi Gary,

Yes there are only a few parts that are different from the historical view. And the other extra bits that are added make for interesting reading of what has happened behind the scenes.

About China invading Russia, I don`t see it. The power blocs will be kept in their boundaries. Notice that Britain never joined politically the E.U. as it has its own confederation.

This scripture is interesting -

`And He (God) has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, & has determined their pre-appointed times & the boundaries of their habitation.` (Acts 17: 26)

Marilyn,

I think I was talking about China invading America, not Russia. Reread my post. You must be getting tired over there. LOL

Hi Marilyn,

Okay just to get this strait in my thinking and I think this is what you are saying. First Russia attacks Israel and is then destroyed, Israel burns the weapons and buries the bodies over a seven year period. Is this what you are calling world war III?

The final battle will be at the end of tribulation where all the nations will come against Israel and the One World Ruler will be in charge of this war?

God will destroy these nations in the final battle right? It seems like there will hardly be any people left on the earth here, that will go through the millennium?

Gary

Hi Gary,

That is what is presented in `Fires before the Dawn.`

The scriptures tell us -

`And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, & by the beasts of the earth.` (Rev. 6:8)

`By these plagues a third of mankind was killed - by the fire & the smoke & the brimstone...` (Rev. 9: 18)

`and many men died from the water, because it was made bitter.` (Rev. 8: 10)

`In the earthquake seven thousand men were killed....`(Rev. 11: 13)

`as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.` (Rev. 13: 15)

`And the winepress was trampled outside the city, & the blood came out of the winepress, up to the horses` bridles, for 1600 furlongs. (Rev. 14: 20)

`And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of him who sat on the horse.` (Rev. 19: 21)

`behold a great multitude which no one could number....These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation....They shall neither hunger any more nor thirst any more; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat.` (Rev. 7: 9, 14, 16)

`Two-thirds in it shall be cut off & die,....` (Israel) (Zech. 13:8)

And there are probably other scriptures too. So there will not be many people left to be judged whether they go into the Millennium or not.

(After Russian war - 7 months to bury dead, & 7 years to burn weapons. Ez. 39: 14 & 9)

Basically this is what we were taught concerning the end times. Considering a few variations that your Uncle addressed.

I think everything he has shared has been good.

Its been interesting while you have been sharing this book we have seen Russia just move in and take part of a country with no real backlash from the world, just a few sanctions, more like a slap on the hand.

We can all clearly see how easy it will be for Russia to move against Israel with no regard for what the rest of the world thinks.

Once that happens the ball will start rolling and nothing will stop it.

Did you get a chance Marilyn to look at the videos that William shared concerning the Muslim man who became a Christian? He made some very good points concerning this Iman who was to come on the world scene.

Gary

Hi Gary,

Glad that you appreciated & enjoyed the book. Yes the basics are what we have all been taught. (PTL) And I did get to watch some of the videos that William posted. Yes, interesting from a former Moslem.

About Russia, we know that it is in the Lord`s timing & not Russia`s that it will come about. The Body of Christ`s purpose is first though - the Unity of Faith, what we together believe of Christ`s character & His purposes - the Head joining to His Body.

Paul Wrote:

I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, 2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, 3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

20 But you have not so learned Christ, 21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

This whole chapter in Ephesians tells us how to achieve this goal you've mentioned above.

Gary
