Shalom
I recently did a word study on the word shalom. I believe it sums up what the atonement did for us.
It means: Hello, goodbye, peace, tranquility, safety, well-being, welfare, health, contentment, success, comfort, wholeness, integrity, complete satisfaction, prosperity, to restore, wellness, to make amends, to make good, completeness.
Shalom,
GWB
Shalom,
GWB
"Be still and know that I am God."

Inquiring minds wonder...
So when someone says 'Shalom', how do you know what they mean?
(Hello, goodbye, peace, tranquility, safety, well-being, welfare, health, integrity, prosperity...)
Seriously, with shalom in one's vocabulary, there's not a need for many other words...
It does give new meaning to the saying, 'it's all good', hip folks could just say, Shalom...cause all the meanings are 'good'.
Shalom.........no, I meant...
“But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us,”

When I did a study on the word Shalom, I got the same interpretation, it means total well being. Today Jesus told me to do word study on gourd. I checked through Jewish customs and found it is hung up on a line with corn and fruit. reminds me of how they carried grapes out of Canaan on a rod. They were hanging. The reason for the custom was a symbol of abundant harvest. Notice in Jonah ch.4: God the initiator had a gourd grow up and protect--Shalom over Jonah. Well he had come there from going into Nineveh offering Shalom, and it produced a great harvest. He sowed a harvest and reaped a protection from the symbol of abundant harvest.
When doing the word study on Shalom, I was blessed to find that in Hawaii, the word aloha means Shalom. Included with that is we are family nobody gets left behind. Not one member of the body of Christ should be forgotten or considered less important. All are precious to Jesus. He intercedes for the weak as well as the strong. Just like for Peter. He's still talking to me, you to. May we all be Martha spiritually.
faith-- forsake all I trust him. Baal-- believe apostacy all lost. bible-- believe in bible life eternal.

"May we all be Martha spiritually."
Did you mean Mary?
"Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house.
And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus' feet and heard His word.
But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, "Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me."
And Jesus answered and said to her,"Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things.
But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her." Luke 10:38-42
Might I add also, 'may we all be Moses spiritually.'
"Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all men who were on the face of the earth." Numbers 12:3
Love ya bro. Dave...
