Well, in a way it is surprising, or better, shocking!
[Luk 18:8 KJV] 8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
This verse comes at the end of the parable of the unjust judge and intimates that He will speedily avenge them when they continually cry out to Him... maybe we just aren't being persistent enough in our prayers.
