I was listening to a series of tapes Tom Hamilton did on deliverance from around 2010. On one of them he made some comments I found highly interesting. I've never heard anyone say it so clearly. So I copied them down and have spent some time thinking on them. They go right with 11Peter 1/2-4.
Tom Hamilton . . .
We have been equipped by God to deal with anything we could ever face as a believer in Christ. So well have we been equipped that God holds us to overcome in all things and not to be overcome but to overcome in all things
The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God. The weapons given to us whether we know it or not whether we use them or not they are mighty through God to pull down strongholds.
The weapons we have are able to successfully overthrow whatever it is God sets before us to deal with. There is nothing we have to face that God hasn't given us something greater than. We are more than conquerors through Christ.
So . . . we must conquer. We must engage and we can't run and hide. We're called soldiers and called to fight the good fight of faith against unseen forces trying to destroy us.
