I guess we can throw this one under the rug, but I know of at least one person, via phone last week, who has been reading OO and is still confused about it.
This is an important topic due to the fact that no one at FA would have dared take a vitamin in any form. Anything other than what was on your supper table was not "totally" trusting God due to vitamins being man made.
My friend, who got the tapes, said that they had been battling the "winter blues" the past few years. I told her to sit in the sun for fifteen minutes a day, and take vitamin D if it was not against her convictions.

I'm sorry Gillyann, I thought you were trying to be funny and I thought I'd just drop it.
I don't consider vitamins to be drugs or medicine, they're found naturally in our food,(before chemicals and the preserving process depletes so much of their potency). And like I said in an earlier post, they're added to foods and drinks such as milk, jucies, cereal, and much more. Now in a perfect world (for me) I'd have my own cows, chickens, and grow my own fruits and vegetables...but alas, I live in an apartment community in the suburbs and it's not possible here. I try to buy the freshest stuff available but even then the quality is compromised from field to market.
So I take vitamin supplements(started about 5 yr. ago), I don't know the importance of the question concerning in what form, pill, powder, or liquid, but if it'll help you to know I guess actually I use all three type. I don't follow the instructions of the manufacturer nor take any advice from anyone.
I take 1 vitamin C 500mg tablet every other day
I take 1 vitamin B complex 33mg capsule every other day
I take 1 vitamin E 100iu gellcap every other day
I take 1 tablet of calcium 200mg every other day
I take 1 tablet of magnesium 100mg every other day
I take 1/2 tablet of iron 25mg every other day
I take 1/2 tablet of zinc 25mg every other day
I take 1/2 an iodine 12.5mg supplement tablet called Iodoral every other day
I take 1 1000mg gellcap of cod liver oil evry other day
I exercise daily as well, but as I told you a few years ago when we were discussing diet and exercise...my trust is in Jesus, but I don't think we should sit on the couch all day sucking down cokes and eating potato chips. We reap what we sow, and our bodies are a reflection of that principle.
Again just so on one will misunderstand, I don't drink soft drinks, coffee, or tea with caffiene because it makes me hyper and can be unhealthy; not because I believe it's a sin. Same with certain foods; if I came to your house and was offered fried foods and iced tea, rather than risk offending anyone I'd pray over it and give thanks and eat(probably a modest portion).
Any other questions?

However.........that was not considered "totally" trusting God at FA. Oh no!!!!.......
It seems that you have butted heads with some of the teaching.
FA people did not "do" vitamins.
Does that mean that you are now not "totally" trusting in God due to the fact that you are not walking in everything that was said and done at FA?
|
I thought you wanted this information in order to help someone who had called you in confussion...Not to use to attempt to make a point with me. I knew in advance by answering you it would or could be used for this purpose, yet I choose to do so anyway.(not a word of knowledge, just experience in life)
btw: I didn't go to FA ...and YES, FA people DID do vitamins, in their cereal, milk, juices and other off the shelf foods that are fortified with vitamins.

I don't know, does it?

"No, James. We will agree to disagree on many points."
So much for Ephesians 4:3&13...No, It's my desire and prayer for the future that those God has brought together here will wholeheartedly seek "the unity of the faith".
"Sorry if I've offended you."
Gillyann, I am not offended at all, maybe a bit saddened because I was hoping for better even though I knew by answering your insistent questioning it would allow for a response similar to yours...but as I said, I was hoping...I Corinthians 13:7

I want to say something as an encouragement(and I'm addressing it to William but it can 'be' for anyone reading).
William, when you mentioned being(possibly, based on what you were taught) a bastard child, it pricked my heart because there are MANY children born after the flesh who are by defination, bastards. BUT, God doesn't have ANY bastard sons or daughters, when we're made anew into The Family of God everything we were in the past is left behind.
Not that I need to tell you because you already know, but God is not like us, we struggle with forgiving ourselves and others, and forgetting the past...He knows everything and remembers everything...EXCEPT our sins He forgives, He says He removes them as far as the east is from the west (that's an infinite distance without end) and remembers them NO MORE.
Don't fret over man's labels, rejoice that you name is written in The Lamb's Book of Life...Amen.

"...and they loved not their lives unto the death."
"And they overcame him by the Blood of The Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death." Revelation 12:11
I've had this scripture come to mind over and over lately while praying about discussions on divine healing. I ask for anyone reading this desiring to be one mentioned as an overcomer, to ask The Holy Spirit for a heart to grasp the real meaning of this scripture and how to walk in it.
If we're desiring and confessing to be the 'THEY' (The man child...overcomer) spoken of in verse 11, then at some point we're going to have to start walking out our confession. I see Jesus telling us to deny ourselves and take up our crosses (to die to self), and read of Paul saying he desired to be with The Lord. Isn't this the KEY to overcoming Satan? Isn't this what is recorded as the way the overcomers are going to overcome?
1.) They overcame him by The Blood of The LAMB...
2.) And the word of their testimony...
3.) And they loved not their lives unto the death...
all 3 require ACTION on our behalf.
I certainly don't have a suicidal wish, and I'm not raising my hand to be martyred, and I'm so sorry for the pain of loss of a loved one by anyone, but brethren if we're His and if we have given up ourselves unto obedience and total trust in Him...we gotta settle this issue in our hearts. We have eternal life, death has been conquered, we've been bought with a mighty price, Jesus' Blood...whether we live or die, we live unto Him who bought us. I'm not saying we should be looking to die, I'm saying we should have it settled in our hearts that we don't love our lives moreso than obedience to Jesus.
A trial of our faith (in any area, but especially health-sickness) shouldn't strike fear of death in us, we're supposed to be more than conqueriors THROUGH Jesus our LORD. All the foundation that has be laborously laid line up line of scripture has at some point got to produce fruit...and that fruit is FAITH...Faith that regardless of what we face we KNOW He will NEVER leave us or forsake us, if we can find this confidence in HIM (not ourselves, or worked up mentally) then there comes with it a peace, a peace that passes all understanding. We can boldly proclaim, "Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him..." and "And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God."
We ain't gonna be able to just 'TALK ' our way into The Kingdom, it's going to require the 'WALK '...
Not brougth to condemn, but to exhort and encourage.
“But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us,”

JESUS, our focus...
"As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the LORD, so walk ye in Him:
Rooted and built up in Him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
For in Him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily..
And ye are complete in Him, which is the head of all principality and power:" Colossians 2:6-10
"If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
When Christ who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with Him in glory." Col.3:1-4

Conformed, or Transformed...
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
And be NOT conformed to this world: but BE YE transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." Romans 12:1-2
Word definition:
conform: comply with rules or general custom. To make similar. To be in accordance with.
transform: make a thorough or dramatic change in the form, appearance, character, ect. Undergo change.
People are always changing, adapting to surroundings and the influence of society. When we take on the characteristics of the world and it's ways, we are 'conforming'. And as Christians, when we conform, we compromise; compromise walking in obedience to God and His Word. When we, through searching scripture and prayer, humble ourselves unto obediece by walking in relationship with Jesus and being lead by Him, our minds are renewed, and this results in our being transformed into the image of Christ.
With a renewed mind(no longer walking as other men do, after the vanities of pride and self centerness...)we change, the daily feeding from His Word of Life ministers a renewing, we become transformed, we are able to know and follow The Will of God in our lives. This cannot happen when we walk in conformity to the world and it's wisdom and ways(anything that contradicts God's expressed will as shown us in His Word).
We are called to be a holy people, separate from the ways of this world, a living sacrifice, sober, and not to think more highly of ourselves than we ought...it's what He expects of us, and it's not unreasonable.
“But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us,”

Thanksgiving...
In Luke 17 we're told of the ten lepers Jesus healed, how only one returned to thank Him and glorify God.
"And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
And fell on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks: and he was a Samaritan." Luke 17:15-16
I would imagine if someone had asked each of the ten men if they were glad they were healed, they'd answer with a YES. But only one took the time to show his graditude by actions. So many times I (we?) tend to take what God has done in my life for granted...Oh, I'd never verbalize it as such, but my actions reflect a heart that has a tendency to fall prey to that mindset.
When I come face to face with realizations such as this, not being thankful as I should, it breaks my heart and I promise myself to be even more vigilant in the future. Jesus has blessed me beyond what I could have ever imagined...
May I never forget or grow complacent, not even for a second.
Thank YOU, LORD Jesus, Thank You.

A Psalm of Thanksgiving...
"O GIVE thanks unto The LORD, for He is good: for His mercy endureth for ever.
Let the redeemed of The LORD say so, whom He hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.
They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.
Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
Then they cried unto The LORD in their trouble, and He delivered them out of their distresses.
And He led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.
Oh that men would praise The LORD for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!
For He satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness." ~Psalms 107:1-9

Confidence...
Word defination from dictionary.
confidence: firm trust. a feeling of reliance or certainty. boldness.
"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of The Son of God; that ye may KNOW that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of The Son of God.
And THIS is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according to His will, He heareth us:
And if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him." I John 5:13-15 (the whole chapter does nothing but build up the faith/assurance/confidence of all who have believed upon Him, Jesus Christ)
I remember an old Broadman hymnal song that went like this...
Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine,
Oh what a foretaste of glory divine,
Heirs of salvation, purchased by God,
Born of His Spirit, Washed in His Blood.
This is my story, This is my song,
Praising my Saviour, all the day long.

"I will fear no evil..."
"The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever." Ps.23
God's Word has many scriptures and passages that offer promises of peace and security, victory over fear and doubt, confidence and hope. He promises that "no weapon formed against us will prosper"; that "He hasn't given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind"; and so many more.
He did not say we'd never walk through the shadow of death...He said He'd be with us; He didn't say we'd never experience hardship, trials, and tribulations...He said it would be through them (much) we'd enter the kingdom; He also said those He loved He chastened...But through what ever may come, He PROMISED to NEVER leave us or forsake us. The only possibility of these promises not working on our behalf? Is if we aren't His sheep, if He isn't our shepherd. The only way to The Father, is through The SON, Jesus Christ; if He is our LORD and Saviour...then we have assurance that ALL the promises of God are yea and amen...to us.
Here is a little article/encouragment from Psalms 23 that if received in faith can encourage and strengthen one going through tough times.

But God...
Ephesians chapter 2 begins by describing the spiritual condition of ALL men without the saving grace, mercy, and great love of God. Then in steps God in verse 4...
"But God..."
Dictionary defination of the conjunction, but:
on the contrary. nevertheless; however. except.
We were all headed for hell, lost and undone, without hope..."BUT GOD..."
God stepped in, "even when we were dead in sins..."
We merit no credit in our salvation...
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and THAT not of yourselves: it is the gift of God." Eph. 2:8
What a gift ! What a God ! What LOVE !
Thank YOU, Father...Thank YOU, Jesus...

I was watching a Jewish Rabbi on The Church Channel on TV (without my computer to watch and listen to people like bro Tom and real worship music, I was searching around for something to edify my spirit), and he told of a time in his life where fear and anxiety had crippled him. He had a teenage daughter and she was off to school and he began to worry about her having an accident going to and from school. He said he soon got to the point where he couldn't get the fear and anxiety to leave him, He was so stressed out he went to bed in the middle of the day and had a dream when he asked his congregation to pray for him. When he awoke he had a message on his answering machine from a lady in his church(he is a Christian) saying she had been praying and The Lord had given her a vision of him right before her eyes and she had interceeded for him. That ministered to him and by God's grace and love for him, he overcame the fear and stopped worrying about his daughter after that.
What he said he did was pray a prayer unto God concerning loving God so much there was no room for doubt. This was the prayer.
"O God, Father give me a love for you that is so great that I'll never again listen to another one of Satans lies."
That ministered to me and encouraged me, though simple, it says a lot. And what it also taught and reminded me was that that's the same TV channel I have condemned due to false prophets and teachers. Another additude adjustment and repentance.
“But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us,”

"Hear my prayer, O LORD, give ear to my supplications: in Thy faithfulness answer me, and in Thy righteousness.
And enter not into judgment with Thy servant: for in Thy sight shall no man living be justified.
For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead.
Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate.
I remember the days of old; I meditate on all Thy works; I muse on the work of Thy hands.
I stretch forth my hands unto Thee: my soul thirsteth after Thee, as a thirsty land. Selah.
Hear me speedily, O LORD: my spirit faileth me: hide not Thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit.
Cause me to hear Thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in Thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto Thee.
Deliver me, O LORD, from mine enemies: I flee unto Thee to hide me.
Teach me to do Thy will; for Thou art my GOD: Thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.
Quicken me, O LORD, for Thy name's sake: for Thy righteousness' sake bring my soul out of trouble.
And of Thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am Thy servant." ~Psalms 143
Things God is teaching me:
When we pray in faith in HIM, not following a formula, praise and thanksgiving will rise up and flow from our hearts and out our mouths.(and we'll stop begging for the same thing over and over)
He inhabits the praises of His people.
Jesus said in John 15:7 that if we abide in Him and His Words abide in us, we can ask what we will and it will be done...So what am I learning? If fruit isn't being produced, then the problem is in "the abiding"; Psalms 91 tells us that "He that dwelleth in the secret place of The Most High SHALLabide under the shadow of The Almighty. "
The plans He has for me is for good and not destruction, He loves me, and He will NEVER leave or forsake me..."though now for a season, if need be..." and just how valueless 'gold' is in comparison to knowing that Almighty God is perfecting my faith through trials and testings.
Regardless of how 'loud' Satan gets or how often he comes in like a flood...he is a liar, he was defeated at Calvary, and God WILL raise up a standard. Condemnation is his greatest weapon against Christians...but not when we "are IN Christ Jesus, and walking after The Spirit.
We are in a spiritual warfare, and to be less than viglant 24/7 is very foolhardy.
JESUS loves me, and He is teaching me how to love Him.
Yeah!I know...I thought I KNEW it too. In measured distance, it's only a few inches from the human head to where the heart is located, but spiritually, it's miles and miles.
Praise Jesus, Thank you, Lord...
BTW: At 4:22 AM this morning while lying awake thanking and giving praise to God for His great love and longsuffering for me...I heard His lovingkindness. PTL

James,
This song came to mind after reading your last post .
Wish I could find the music to go with it.
Maybe GWB could record it and send us an mp3 file…
OhHear my cry, O God;…… attend unto my prayer.
From the end of the earth..... will I cry unto thee,
For when my heart is overwhelmed:
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I….That is higher than I
For thou hast been a shelter for me,
and a strong tower from the enemy.
For when my heart is overwhelmed…..
lead me to the rock that is higher than I….That is higher than I
As you said: We must abide and trust in Him !
4I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.
5For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.
6Thou wilt prolong the king's life: and his years as many generations.
7He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.
8So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.
Psalms 61:1-8 (KJV)

Thanks Bro Ron, I remembered the song(I think I have it on one of the old FA worship CD's you or Grandom sent me a few years ago, then again maybe it's just 'burned' into my mental hard-drive<SMILE>) , I sang it over and over this morning while walking.
If you read the comment made by guitmartiman(the man singing and playing guitar, Jack Marti) right below the video, he says he first heard it around '85 and it lead him to start seriously seeking out and playing short scriptural songs. Refreshing to hear and his encouragment concerning depression and the lies of Satan rings so true. Reading that comment just brings comformation to what The Lord has been helping me with, in getting knowledge from my head in to my heart.
Praise Jesus.

Definition of guide: person who LEADS or shows the way. Adviser. ~The Oxford American Dictionary
"The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me besides the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me..." Psalms 23:1-4
A theologian may see this as elementary, but when The Holy Spirit starts revealing simple truths, to me they are profound. During a time of trial in my life I've been made aware, over and over, that Jesus will NEVER leave us or forsake us. He promised He would send The Comforter(The Holy Spirit/The Spirit of Truth) to GUIDE (lead) us. David writes that The Lord LEADS us and whatever we're going through(the valley of the shadow of death)He is WITH us.
David, in Psalms139, speaks of God's ever present presence and though he, David, should attempt to flee from God's presence, there's nowhere he can go that God won't be...verse 10 "Even there shall Thy hand LEAD me, and Thy right hand shall hold me."
David prayed this prayer: "The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: Thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands."Ps. 138:8
Amen.

I received a calendar with faith passages yesterday, the scripture for January was Psalms 31:3
"For Thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for Thy name's sake lead me, and guide me."
I found that comforting based on what The LORD has been encouraging me about that I posted in the last post.

Biblical answer for when Mark 11:24 doesn't work...one of many, reasons.
Jesus said:
"Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."
Jesus also said:
"And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have aught against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
BUT if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses."
UNFORGIVENESS...

A few weeks ago William and I were having a phone conversation and I was trying to explain something I had been experiencing in the area of a trial, and as I have struggled (at times) with understanding if I was in a trial/test or under chastisement, he reminded me of just how much God loves us(me). I was allowing Satan to heap condemnation on me for every sin I'd commited, even though I'd repented.
Today I saw a comment he made in the thread on heaven or hell that was a good reminder for us all when the enemy tries to steal our joy and condemn us. "...one doesn't move in and out of salvation each time he/she makes a mistake or sins."
My daily Bible reading has me in the book of Psalms and I read 5 chapters each day, today I was in Psalms 37 and The Lord used these verses to remind and encourage...
V23 "The steps of a good man are ordered by The Lord: and he delighteth in His way.
V24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for The Lord upholdeth him with His hand.
V25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
V26 He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.
V27 Depart from evil, and do good; and DWELL for evermore.
V28 For The Lord loveth judgment, and forsaketh not His saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off."
It's hard to read more than a few verses in Psalms without having to stop reading and start singing (there must be dozens of songs we learned from this book that are so uplifting and encouraging), or stop and just start thanking and praising God.
Another thing I draw encouragment from, is the life of David. He was a man after God's own heart, hand chosen and anointed to lead God's people Israel...Yet, he took another man's wife and killed (had killed) the man. That's murder and adultery, yet God forgave him, and while I haven't killed anyone or physically commited adultery, I have in my heart...HE forgives us when we repent, we're His, bought with a price, The BLOOD of JESUS, nothing can take us out of His hand. "...though he fall...The Lord upholdeth him with His hand."
What Mercy! What Grace! What love! What an awesome GOD!

"Great is The LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of His holiness.
Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King." Psalms 48:1-2
Just a quick reminder, regardless of how busy life gets at times, The LORD reigneth and is greatly to be praised...He will lead and guide us.

Can you imagine?
I Can Only Imagine (partial lyrics)
by: MercyMe
Surrounded by Your glory,
what will my heart feel?
Will I dance for You Jesus,
or in awe of You be still?
Will I stand in Your presence,
or to my knees will I fall?
Will I sing hallelujah,
will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine...

As long as I can remember as a christian the joy of the whole earth has stuck in my heart. Just the thought of being in eternity or the millennium and the whole earth singing and praising. My heart just longs for that day. The entire earth praising and rejoicing. I have long believed that sometimes it moves God to action. Someone (someone being a relative term) starts praising and someone hears and joins in and soon it is a whole bunch then begins to spread until all creation is joining in. I think that is going to happen in the millennium.
I also believe that is how our universe came into being.
Job 38/7

Mark, your post got me thinking about people singing and the influences that produce the desire to sing. We know as believers the joy of The Lord produces a song in our heart; but we also must be aware of Satan's wiles to draw praise unto himself and to destroy lives. I'm thinking of the lyrics to the song I posted yesterday sung by MercyMe, it was written by Bart Millard, a Christian who was imagining what heaven would be like and what he would do once in the presence of Jesus. The motivation was to cause people to think upon the awesome glory of God and a reminder to what we have to look forward to as Christians.
Contrast that with another very popular song about 'imagining' by John Lennon, I believe Satan used John Lennon and the lyrics to that song, Imagine, to put doubt in people's minds about heaven and hell and eternity. The song's lyrics start with this statement:
"Imagine there's no heaven, It's easy if you try.
No hell below us, Above us only sky.
Imagine all the people living for today."
How many souls have gone to hell believing there is no hell due to the influence of this song in their lives? The Bible tells us to be diligent, that Satan uses wiles and has fiery darts, and the only way we can overcome them is by using the discernment given us by The Holy Spirit and walking in the Spirit. Daily arming ourselves with the whole armour of God; we're in a spiritual war and many have been taken captive through 'seemingly' innocent benign things like songs. I believe lyrics matter, I don't think all music glorifies God (as I read on another 'christian' forum). BTW: I have sung along to that song many times over the years before The Lord opened my eyes to see and my ears to hear...Thank You, Jesus.
I don't know what heaven will be like in detail outside what has been revealed in scripture...but I believe and imagine it will be far more than we could ever imagine.

Lately I've been considering the vast contrast between the ways Satan operates. On the one hand, he's like the old snake, bringing in his deceptions very stealth-like, and on the other hand, (presumably when the first method fails) he's like the roaring lion going about in his attempts to devour (complete with all of the fear that accompanies his roar.)
Deception is the characteristic of the first, fear and overwhelming power categorizes the second.
Blessings,
William

I can definitely say amen to that...
But I can also attest to the power of The Blood and Name of JESUS, Praise The Lord.

Ever feel like you're getting too old to be of use unto The Lord? (Of course not, you're overcomers; that's a rhetorical question) Take heart, God promises even older folks can still bear fruit.
"Those that be planted in the house of The LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.
They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;
To shew the The LORD is upright: He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him." Ps.92:13-15
I believe that the word fat used here means well provided for and prosperous, both in their spiritual walk as well as in the natural; not obesse.
