1. Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3. And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

I was just wondering if anybody had thoughts on this?

Any deceiver in the flesh preaching Jesus would confess Jesus came in the flesh so this leads me to beleive that he is talking about this in a spritual sense. If this is so how do you test the spirits?

Hi Gary

This is not a loaded question per say. It is something I have wondered about for a long time and an just now giving some thought to it. That is why I posted it online. I just wondered what other people thought.
Bless you
John

Thank you for your posts. They are very helpfull.I try to live my life in the word and prayer and it has helped me to disern things . I am not afraid of a hard word , it shows me that the Lord loves me. I guess I have been doing the right thing but not understanding what the scripture was saying. Thanks for the help.
