Can Hilary Clinton be beat? What about Donald Trump? No, I'm not getting into politics but I was reading Charisma Magazine this morning(selectively) and came across a 'prophecy' by a man (Jeremiah Johnson) in Lakeland, FL (I think I've hear of that town before, as in revival and Todd Bentley) and he proclaimed that God told him that He was going to use Donald Trump to be His 'trumpet' to speak to the American people. He didn't go as far as to say Trump would be president but he did say God was raising him up like King Cyrus to be an instrument in His hand. I don't guess it'll take too long to find out if that man is a real prophet or not. It's just amazing who and what they will allow to be published in their magazine, discernment is so lacking among the charismatic community, both in the leaders as well as the followers.
Not that I haven't ever been deceived by anyone, including my own self...

It's amazing who is getting into office in these last days. Looking at a lot of things going on in the government, I think what everyone has been saying for years is true. That is; the government is "very corrupt".
The reason they originally wrote the constitution hundred's of years ago, "was to protect the people from the government", it was not meant to protect the government from the people.
The problem I see with everything going on, a lot of people want to imagine all of these secret government theories.
No matter what though at this point in time we still have a better set up as a country then most of the countries around the world. At least it appears that way since I have not had the privilege of living in another country.
Maybe we should get another movie star with some common sense in there. Tom Selleck would be a good choice. LOL

Mark and Marilyn probably have a whole different viewpoint on that...I can only imagine what it looks like viewing America through the lens of the media, movies, and books from outside the US...Shoot, it looks awful to me and I'm sure I'm jaded to most of it...but still, there are many things I'm thankful for...and many I'm ashamed of...

Hi james,
I find that I am appreciative of the country I live in, (Australia) & that it is not so populated or oppressed as other nations. However I do realise that even believers here are too focussed on material things & do not appreciate God`s blessings in Christ Jesus - salvation, eternal home in heaven, & here - family, friends, a home & food & perhaps health & strength.
Many are still seeking the `ministry` that they think God is going to give them!!! When I believe that every day is an opportunity to have the `ministry of reconciliation` to others.
Just my thoughts. Marilyn.

I'm not much on politics but since we have a thread about it . . .
I saw this article and found it quite interesting. I may have to revise my opinion of Hillary.
Years back here in the frozen north when Pierre Trudeau (a very popular and polarizing Prime Minister) was running for Prime Minister again the Toronto Sun ran an editorial cartoon featuring a pic of him in regal royal robes and a crown with a caption of him saying "Forget the Election" Seems to fit here with Hillary for some reason.
From the article . . .
More than most leftists, Hillary has made stupid mistake after stupid mistake. More than most, Hillary has fallen back on her spouse and her "experience" as first lady as proof that she is up to the job as president. One explanation is that Hillary is super-clever. A better explanation is she is not too bright.

I see that Kenneth Copeland and a bunch of the TBN celebrity preachers laid hands on and prayed over Donald Trump at a meeting with Pentecostal evangelicals. I am surprised that Trump allowed that, of course when you're seeking votes wherever you can find them......
If Charisma Magazine and TBN were the true reflection of Christianity (especially the Pentecostal/Charismatics) then I would run the other way as fast as my legs would carry me. Thankfully, they're not...but they sure make an awful example. imho

I guess those TV preachers are looking for more sizzle than Cruz is able to produce! <grin>

Just guessing here, but since Cruz never slams Trump I wonder if he isn't looking ahead....as in , running mate, VP.
Since we're to pray for our leaders I guess it isn't too far fetched to envision praying for Donald Trump; though I think Hilary Clinton will win the popular vote, after all as I read the other day...."we're a nation of progress and we're moving forward....no more days of ignorance dictating our actions" No, it wasn't written by Pentecostal leaders....but it sounds like the thinking behind their endorsement of Trump.
Say What? Right! That proves many don't know up from down, or should I say forward from backward.

So fast forward fifteen months and we have our answer, yes, she can be beat. I guess Jeremiah Johnson wasn't so 'out to lunch', Donald Trump is going to be president for at least the next four years.
Now let's see what can be done to turn around the downward fall of the last couple of decades. ObamaCare should be history, as well as some of the immoral and ungodly laws that have gone into effect the last few years.(same sex marriage, recreational marijuana, immigration, abortion) Can Trump bring back the economy? We'll see, the Senate and House are no longer under control of Democrats so there shouldn't be that much resistance to reforming government, right? A conservative Supreme Court justice appointed by Trump should be a step in the right direction as far as the balance of power in that court.
I pray that president elect Trump will be an instrument in God's hand.......for good.

It appears the corrupt media has been hiding a lot of things from the American people. The people who preach we should be tolerant, we find are not very tolerant themselves.
I just read where many of the countries who allowed large numbers of refugees to come in and live are now dealing with massive crime in their countries. It's a major problem that has been swept under the carpet by the media.
I think if anything with Trump in office making sweeping changes its a opportunity for Christians to rise up like never before in prayer and fasting for this country.
There is a liberal plague that has settled in and by its violent nature has shown us that common sense no longer exists.
I heard last night about some young teenage girl in the local school has been constantly belittled by her teacher at school because she is a Christian. The young girl who told us this said the teacher never points out kids who confess to be gay or liberal but is constantly putting this young girl on the spot in front of her peers.
I don't know the young girls name but please remember her in your prayers. For that matter all the younger generation who follow Christ is being put to the test. May God give them Holy boldness to resist the powers of darkness.
Jesus said: “Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
Quote: | Def of millstone:
noun
1.
either of a pair of circular stones between which grain or another substance is ground, as in a mill.
2.
anything that grinds or crushes.
3.
any heavy mental or emotional burden (often used in the phrase a millstone around one's neck).
|
These kids are being belittled because they reject the sinful life style of the students around them and chose to follow Jesus.
When I heard this story about this young girl my heart went out to her in this situation.
Anyway I agree, may God use the President as an instrument in His Hands to bring a change to this land. Even better may Christians rise up and proclaim the "Kingdom of God is at hand".
