This kind of stuff has been going on for years. I don't think that it can
be associated with the mark of the beast until the beast is actually on
the scene.

Also it is my understanding that the mark will be used as a means to buy
and sell and when it is mentioned it is closely associated with the
worship of the beast.

This brings up the question: Is the mark given only to those who choose
to worship the beast? or is it possible to deceive one into taking the
mark, i.e. without the person's assent? If the latter, does that mean a
person could be doomed by an action that didn't stem from his/her own
volition?

Blessings,
William

Yes, DeWayne posted something on it in February '08 and psalms91 posted some additional links to some articles of interest. It's under "Verichip" in Bible Issues.

They'll keep tinkering with it until it'll do things 'SO' convenient that people will be lining up to get it. Then if it becomes 'required'....to buy or sell? that will be a big oops, too late.

Verichip changed to PositiveID which is involved with credit bureaus and identity theft, thereby linking medical with financial. There is concern that the National Health Care Bill may be about mandatory microchip implanting. Many have already been chipped, but of course most not in the right hand or forehead, yet.

I looked at the article via a text-based browser and didn't see the pic.

Now that I've got the trusty old FireFox browser up, it does look a bit
like the old serpent!

Blessings,
William

That was me. I couldn't access my account so I started a new one. Now the other one works too : )

Technology today is moving incomprehensibly fast. God knows what is going on in this world. Anyway, another aspect of technology is Somark, permanent ink tattoos. They can be tattooed right through hair. Take note. It is similar to the microchip implants as far as capabilities.
