One night in May of 2002, my 19-yr. old son, Mark did not come home. I walked the floors and praying until I felt the peace of God. Until I felt the Holy Spirits urging to get some rest... until God spoke to my heart and promised to stay with my son. Meanwhile on a desolate country road about 50 miles away Mark was unconscious and trapped in the twisted wreckage of his car. When he was discovered several hours later he had suffered massive brain trauma. The doctor told me that the trauma suffered upon impact was only part of the problem... the fact that he lay "alone and unattended" for so long had caused him to slip deeper into the coma, increasing the damage to his brain. I quickly responded that my son was not alone.
Mark's GCS (Glasgow Coma Score) was "3" which is very very low, and definately not good. But, 6 days later he awoke from the coma. When they removed the tube from his throat he asked "What happened to me?"
"You were in a car accident," I responded.
"Was I driving? Was it my fault? How is my car?" he asked. The doctors and nurses were absolutely amazed!
Today, Mark is fully recovered and happily married. He and his wife have a 4 yr. old daughter. (And he called last night to tell me that they are expecting another baby.)
Friends, you can trust God to watch over your children. His eye is ever on them and, in truth, there is no lonely road where He cannot be found.

Absolutely. About 10 yrs ago I was walking into a coffee shop to get a coffee and had a strong check in my spirit. So I started fasting. That was Fri afternoon. Very early Sunday morning we had a call that our youngest son was in a car accident. Hit from behind on the edge of town at about 80 mph. The entire car was demolished except the seat he as sitting in. Thank you Lord!

Yes. Amen! We will continue to give thanks to God for the great things that He has done for us, for our children and for our children's children.
Also, to anyone who has lost a child, please let me add this:
When I tell Mark's story I am IN NO WAY trying to imply that I have more faith than someone who's child has died. If Mark had died that night I would still have praised God for His assurance that He was with my son. Eternity matters more than the temporary things of this world and God has promised that He does all things for our good. It may be to our eternal benefit and it may temporarily cause us great pain, but in everything He works for our good because He is a good God and because He loves us.
That's what I believe and that is my testimony of faith. God is able to deliver, but if not, I still will not bow my knee to the gods of this world. Jesus Christ is my Lord and Saviour. I lift Him up. I will praise His name forever.

What awesome testimonies and encouragements!!!
My children have been the target of attacks for years due to some serious spiritual warfare in my family.
My daughter was spared from being hit by a train due to the Holy Spirit warning me when I drove by the same spot 12 hours earlier. She was spared, again, when He gave me a dream about her losing her life, and my grandson's life in the womb, in a car wreck. She was spared, again, when she had three attempted car accidents within 15 minutes driving across town with my baby granddaughter in the back seat. She pled the Blood and did spiritual warfare during all of the incidents. She called me, rattled, but knew it was all real spiritual warfare.
My son was spared when he was found in a creek, in the car, with water up to his neck.
That is only the beginning, but these are the most dramatic.
Everyday I praise Him for His faithfulness. He knows exactly what we can handle and will not give us more than we can endure.
When someone has a 3 on the coma scale, medicine pretty much considers them "checked out" with no hope. To be "extubated," or the tube taken out (unplug them), means they are waiting for them to die.
To me, this is truly a miracle testimony of His protection, love, and grace working in our lives.
Thank you, so much, for everyone sharing.

Yes I thought of that as well. We do have people in the faith message that have lost children to accident. The bible says to weep with those who weep. Just weep. You don't have to provide answers. There isn't always answers readily available.
