"The enemy is the virus and anyone who isn't living their life solely to avoid contamination."
Who said it? Jeffrey A. Tucker -- Oct.1, 2020.
Lockdown: The New Totalitarianism --

[Luk 21:24, 29-33 KJV] 24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. ...
The first part (Luke 21:24) took place in 70 AD. The second part (... and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.) seems to have endured until 1967. The big question is: Are the "times of the Gentiles" fulfilled already or are we in a position to see this period coming to an end?
Luke 21:29 And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; 30 When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. 31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. 32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. 33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
Brothers and Sisters, Jesus gave us a parable that intimates that anyone with a mind should be able to see that a fig tree starting to bloom indicates that summer is now nigh at hand. Are we able to discern the signs indicating that the times of the Gentiles is (or soon to be) over?
Blessings,
William

Mark L wrote on Sun, 11 October 2020 23:02That was interesting. It's going to be a new world when this is over. If it ever is. I'm still looking for Jesus to come.
I think it has arrived and here to stay. The government realizes now it can control everyone with this covid 19 virus. Even with the talk of using a vaccine they are still telling people you will have to wear masks to prevent outbreaks.
George Orwells, Nineteen Eighty-Four centers on the consequences of totalitarianism, mass surveillance.
The story takes place in an imagined future, the year 1984, when much of the world has fallen victim to perpetual war, omnipresent government surveillance, historical negationism, and propaganda. Great Britain, known as Airstrip One, has become a province of a totalitarian superstate named Oceania that is ruled by the Party who employ the Thought Police to persecute individuality and independent thinking. Big Brother, the leader of the Party, enjoys an intense cult of personality despite the fact that he may not even exist. The protagonist, Winston Smith, is a diligent and skillful rank-and-file worker and Party member who secretly hates the Party and dreams of rebellion. He enters into a forbidden relationship with a colleague, Julia, and starts to remember what life was like before the Party came to power.
This book also popularised the term "Orwellian" as an adjective, with many terms used in the novel entering common usage, including "Big Brother", "doublethink", "thoughtcrime", "Newspeak", "memory hole", "2 + 2 = 5", "proles", "Two Minutes Hate", "telescreen", and "Room 101"
The world is looking for a one world system where the Anti-Christ can solve mans problems. Technology has turned to surveillance through facebook and google. Type in something they don't like and immediately the thought police are removing your post. The media is trying to introduce "Newspeak" so they can stop any speech that is politically incorrect. The universities are sending out groups to local governments to teach then what is considered divisive or bias language.
Eventually they will be able to discern what your thinking by what your saying which will be considered a "thought crime".
The parallels are very interesting.
Myself I lean a little towards Molinism, God is in control of everything and is allowing men to follow the path that He has planned. Now that everything has started with the covid 19, they know they can control the country with fear, I do not know if it will ever go back to how it was.
Has anyone heard of this deal called berisheet, it sounds interesting they believe we only have less then three years left before tribulation, at least that is what I got out of it
In Him,
Gary

I think so many have decided that the enemy is anyone who doesn't think/believe as they do. The 'right' thinks the 'left' is the enemy; the 'left' thinks the 'right' is the enemy. Conservative 'Christians' believe Donald Trump was the only choice for president (apparently not God's choice) and liberal 'Christians' believed Joe Biden was the answer to America's problems. Very seldom over the last 8-10 months have I seen believers pointing others to Jesus as the solution to Americas problems. btw: the problems will not go away during the next 4 years, and that's not a 'prophecy', it's discernment 101.
The problem lies within the hearts of Americans, Christians and non Christians, it's SIN. It can't be laid at the feet of the Republicans or Democrats, though both groups are guilty as sin.
The church has tolerated liberalism and worldly thinking to delude it to where there is very little resemblence to the CHURCH pattern we see in the NT. Political correctness runs rampant, and changes constantly. Tolerance is a must, not godly tolerance, but what ever floats your boat is ok, tolerance.
We're our own worse enemy; the virus, politics, the flesh, trials and tribulations? They just reveal our hearts and desperate need for a Saviour...Jesus
“But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us,”

Ya Amen!!!
Another thought I had was you can tell much of Christendom doesn't follow the biblical directive to pray for our leaders. I have political opinions and thoughts too but I've found as I pray for them I get lifted out of the emotional mass of thought and feeling. In other words my partisan feelings disappear and I can see them the way God does.
