Brothers and sisters,
We haven't had too many ask for prayer and hopefully that's because either those who were going through trials/attacks were strong enough in faith that they handled it alone, or had a support system of believers in their lives to stand with them in prayer and intercession. But at the same time, based on the way we were encouraged not to 'run to man' but to learn to exercise faith for ourselves, could it be that we've possibly been too proud (or lacking in humility), to ask for prayer? To humble ourselves enough to share our burdens with each other?
Well this isn't a ploy by me designed to break the ice in this area, I am coming tonight to ask, for those to whom The Lord leads, for prayer. You guys are my spiritual family, my support, and though I am uncomfortable doing this, I believe the Lord is leading me to.(and if He's not, then may He be longsuffering and merciful to me for asking)
I'm not publicly going into all the symptoms as I believe that's not necessary, but I will say as best I can, it centers around anxiety, which can run from mental attacks to physically causing problems(stomach/weight loss/inability to eat). The simplest of decisions can trigger an attack, it seems to defy any logic. I'm stopping there(unless someone feels lead of The Lord to ask more, and then I would perfer to do that in PMing or e-mail)
I've been through symptoms almost exactly like this about 5-6 years ago, I KNOW I failed in that trial(I went to medical science/doctors/took drugs), I had to repent of things and thought I'd gotten the victory, but it seems I'm either being given another test in this area, being chastened, or being allowed a Job trial(though I am fully aware that my walk with Jesus and character isn't comparable to Job). I'm not looking for sympathy or the easy way out, I need wisdom and hopefully people standing in prayer with and for me.
Thank you in advance for your love, I'm unworthy of it, but thank God for The shed Blood of Jesus, it has washed me white as snow.

I do think that we sometimes don't ask for prayer enough, and it probably stems from some of the things you mentioned, but I think that the concept of the Body of Christ (we are members one of another) shows us that, no matter what our gifts are, we all have the ministry of prayer.
Something that I've learned over the years is that sometimes our own prayers are hindered because we are unsure about the source of the trial. I've come to realize that if our trial is chastisement -- God doesn't keep us in the dark about it. Imagine the folly of disciplining a child without letting them know exactly the reason for the chastisement. God is no different in this regard -- when He spanks us He makes it clear about the reason for the discipline. So if there isn't a clear cause for the chastisement the best course is to treat it as a trial of our faith.
Secondly, when we have failed in the past (and we all have) this isn't something that God holds against us in present situations. We can be assured that once those things are behind us -- they remain behind us! It is only the devil that seeks to condemn us for those kinds of things; he's the master of condemnation. Don't fall into that trap.
Thirdly, we all should consider it a privilege to pray for others who are going through things. The devil certainly knows that there is power when two or three get together (in the Spirit) and pray against his attacks. He works overtime to keep us from acknowledging our needs to the rest of the Body, and if we get past that and let other know, he makes us so uncomfortable (embarrassed) to the point that we are more focused on that than we are in standing against his attack.
Openness and transparency is not something to be ashamed of... not one of us has gotten to the point where we don't need the rest of the Body... the whole point of using the 'body' as a metaphor is to highlight the fact of dependence. It's both natural and proper for us to need each other.
Anyway, we are believing God with you on this.
Blessings,
William
I want to believe!

I will pray too. There is nothing wrong with asking for help when you need it. I've felt for a long time that there is a balance between coping for yourself and asking for help. Those of us who are basically on our own without a real church around us really don't have anyone else.
I have never had that problem but I've been very close to two people that have and I know how real and debilitating it can be. It just consumes your whole life.
Keep in mind in the midst of the trial that you only have to endure the moment you're in. Not the one past and not the one coming. Only the one you're in.
Anyway I will pray too. Starting now.
I find I always have to write something on a steamed mirror....

I thank each of you, regardless of the lying symptoms, I am touched in my heart and my emotions are full, words fail to accurately convey my graditude.
William, I found the womans' writings to be very encouraging...I thought "Lonely Whispers" and "Waiting in the Darkness" to both an encouragement. The story of the man who took his own life was heart breaking...I am going to spend some time in the morning reading more of her blog...You know? it's not that all these truths and scriptures are forgotten or don't come to mind when in a trial that attempts to cloud and assult the mind, it's just sometimes clearer when promises and exhortations are laid out one behind the other.
And what Mark says about only living/enduring in the moment we're in is so true(which is what faith really is)...That's the strength of the enemy's attack, bombardment's of uncertainity("you're going to lose your mind"; "what if this or this happens" "you can't even be a Christian, you ain't got the faith overcomes a simple mind battle, whimp!", "Overcomer? Yeah, right!") which are all LIES.
Again, thanks and may the seeds of compassion and intercession you're sowing bring forth 100 fold fruit and may you be overtaken with blessings from our LORD and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Praise Jesus!
I want to share a progress report(yes, my confession is I'm healed, delivered, set free...and I know it's natural when we're praying for someone to want to know how things are going), as I sat down a couple hours ago to do this, as is the nature of the enemy, he attempted to rise up(just to 'prove' to me that the deliverance and peace was just a figment of my imagination...always the liar...but ALWAYS subject to to flee when resisted by one submitted to God.James 4:7)
First yesterday was (just from a place of peace and rest) the best day I've had in a while, and I fully expect today to be even better, and tomorrow better than today.(every day with Jesus is sweeter than the day before...<grin>song)I attribute it to(of course Jesus) the prayers of my brothers and sisters. I find it awesome that while everyone offered encouragement alike, the little nuggets of wisdom were each different, yet with each my spirit bore witness with what was shared as being from The Lord. Also the power of intercession was breaking(and will continue to break) strongholds that I'd allowed in my life, allowing me to see areas where I'd been blind to sin(or not dealing with it as dilligently as I should have...Anything that is not of faith, is sin Rom.14:23)
The writings by the sister William gave the link to WERE inspiring and encouraging, I'd encourage anyone to read and draw strength from them. For those who didn't post to let me know you are praying, but are...thank you. I understand our responsibility (and it should be our desire) to lift one another up and bear each others burdens, yet still I find it a little uncomfortable knowing others are giving up of themselves(fasting, time in prayer, time to respond and encourage) on my behalf. Someone said they prayed til the burden lifted, I think that is important...if The Lord shows us something or gives us a specific burden or area to pray or interceed for, then I believe He'll direct our prayers as we pray in The Holy Spiirt (the perfect prayer, for He knows of the need and the answer before we even ask.) What I'm trying to say, is obey The Lord, pray when He leads, for as long as He directs...He knows better than I.
I love you guys, and am gratiful and blessed to know you love me.(your actions prove this to be true)
"By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another." John 13:35

Brother James
13Is any among you afflicted? let him pray.
Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
Looks like your're doing that !
(every day with Jesus is sweeter than the day before...<grin>song
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Befir7QVYXk
14Is any sick among you?
let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
Well…… you covered this also !
Tho I haven’t poured oil over the computer yet
15And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
16Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
James 5:13-16 (KJV)
You are doing your part and we (OO) are doing ours in praying, so the only thing left to do…
Is To Praise and Give Thanks to The Lord for your Healing !

Praise Jesus, Thank You Lord for healing me.
As I sing,
"It is a good thing to give thanks unto The Lord,
it is a good thing to give thanks unto The Lord,
and sing praises unto Thy Name, O Most High..."
Thanks for the reminder, brother.

I'm so amazed at the mercy of God, about two years ago Bro. Ron posted some songs and one of the was titled, "Sanctuary". I musta listened to it a 100 times. I shared how the night I first heard it I was battling a migraine headache and how the presence and anointing of The Lord ministered to me that night(I think it was posted under the "I praise God for" thread.)
Tonight as I made my way through the music I started remembering how that song touched my heart, every time I listened to it. (For me personally, it is the most anointed song I am aware of) As I sang along, time after time(I just hit replay over and over) The Spirit of The Lord works within me to cleanse and encourage me. One specific thing is this...The song lyrics say, "Lord prepare me, to be a sanctuary...pure and holy, tried and true."
The process of becoming a sanctuary for the presence of The Living God requires preparation, He wants vessels that are yeilded to Him. That's encouraging, that's a reassurance that the work He has begun, He will complete, IN ME.
I just got so blessed and HAD to share it with somebody. To others it may just be another worship song, PTL...but God uses it to minister to me.
Thank You, Lord...a sanctuary for YOU...Yes! Prepare me.

Just an update, I appreciate the prayers and am standing on God's Word...I am healed by Jesus' stripes.
My computer crashed and I can't check in as often as usual.
Again, thank you for the support in Christ...

We all need to keep in mind that when we're in a trial of any kind that we only have to endure through the moment we're in. Not the one past and not the one future. Only the one we're in. We've all seen God answer our prayers and remove trials and we always have to keep in mind that the next moment may be the one where the trial stops and the answer comes. Even if its only a partial answer.
Paul even spoke to this issue concerning chastisement in Heb 12/11. In the moment we're in chastisement is painful but at some future "moment" it will be peaceful.
Emily Dickinson wrote in one of her poems about this.
Pain has an element of blank
It cannot recollect
When it began or if there were
A day when it was not.
It has no future but itself
Its infinite realms contain
Its past enlightened to perceive
New periods of pain
Keeping in mind in a trial that one only has to endure the moment one is in is very comforting and very helpful.

Prayer request update...
Praise God, He is SO merciful and faithful to perform His Word, both to heal and deliver us when we cry out unto Him. A little over 10 weeks ago (that'd be 73 days to be exact) I came under attack both physically, mentally, as well as spiritually from Satan. There were times when I was tempted to wondered if I'd wind up eating grass on my hands and knees like Nebuchadnezzar; and the attacks would subside and I'd think what was the big deal.( I'm not being over dramatic, imagine trying to interview someone while preparing their taxes and having anxiety attacks and prety strong pain in the stomach and sitting there acting as if nothing was wrong...But with God we can do all things, if we will just believe.) I had good meaning people give me their advice and diagnosis of my problem, from hyperthyroidism, to candida (an overgrowth of yeast in the intestines), to gall bladder stones, and even heart attack. And I had symptoms of every one of these if you go by the info on the internet (google).
I'm not saying I walked in perfect faith throughout the whole trial, but I did continually seek The Lord for wisdom, both for the healing(of course) but also to learn and grow spiritually. The Holy Spirit was longsuffering with me, allowing me to see wrong additudes and thoughts (as well as actions) and grant me grace to repent and correct them. I learned about spiritual warfare and keeping vigilant. It seemed EVERY time I'd confess to someone I was healed and set free the enemy would bring it back double.(No! He's not...but even if he did, he's STILL a liar and was defeated at Calvary and The Blood of Jesus has healed me and set me free...bottom line! And I KNOW it.)
So my testimony today is that I'm healed, delivered, and walk in divine health in Jesus' Name...(and I'm not just making a positive confession<though it is a positive confession> , the pain has gone and the mental anxiety attacks are gone.) and I want to thank each one of you who prayed and interceeded for me and offered me encouragment and friendship, I'm grateful. Most of all I want to give testimony of the faithfulness of God to honor His Word. You know saints, there's a vast difference between head knowledge and heart knowledge, experiencing the faithfulness of Jesus is priceless. Just Friday I had a lady tell me how she had worked in hospice healthcare for years and though she had compassion and sympathy for people, but she said that when her own mother's mental health failed and she became her sole caregiver, 24/7, she really learned and understood compassion and sympathy. I have a different view of issues relating to mental health..."There, but for the grace of God, goes me."
Thank You Jesus, You alone are worthy of our praise, who is like unto You? There is none. Hallelujah!
“But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us,”

Jillian about Indiana. I was thinking this week about all these tornados in Indiana. I was thinking about end times and then thinking that for people in situations like that end times have started. Also all the people in northern Pakistan with the earthquake a couple yrs ago . They lost everything. And they're probably still living in tents. Anyway just my thoughts. Be very thankful that everything is good here.

Hi Mark,
You don't have to stop praying for me, maybe just change the focus...
Speaking of tornadoes, the ones Friday night came within a couple of miles of my office destroying houses and property just south of Clanton, Al...Thankfully, this time no one lost their lives. I saw an interview with one man from Verbena, Al. on the news Saturday(just a few hours after a F3 tornado had destroyed everything he owned) and he had the best additude I've ever seen, he started of the interview by saying that it sure was a beautiful day The Lord had given and he was so thankful for His mercy on his family(no injuries). His positive additude came from his faith in Jesus Christ and he openly confessed this...What a testimony!
There are huge areas of Alabama that still haven't recovered from the April 27 tornadoes of last year; towns, communities, buildings can be rebuilt; 'things' can be replaced; but the lives lost aren't replaceable. So many live in fear due to past experiences and what they've seen on the news concerning these severe storms and tornadoes; businesses that build and install storm shelters have had a boom year here in Alabama.(I'm not implying people shouldn't have storm shelters), but we know that the only real protection comes from God. You know, Gillyann, when it hits close to home(impacting family or friends) it seems to get our attention moreso than normal. There was a smaller tornado that came through in December and blew over 100 yr old trees in my mother's yard, thankfully, her and her house was spared.
I believe the end times have started for everyone and the intensity of calamities will only increase with the passing of time. Not only natural disasters but wars and civil upheavel, along with economic problems, not to mention the increase of apostasy, heresy, and deception attacking the Body of Christ...At least the beginnings of sorrows as spoken of by Jesus in Matthew 24.

I want to pass along a prayer request that I read about on another forum (JTBTV)from a former member here, Gary B.(Alanbook on this forum...Ibelieve on Hombre's forum), he lost his younger brother to pancreatic cancer. He was seeking prayer for his family(he said the brother was a Christian), I believe he'd appreciate it.
