I am reading a book I found in a thrift store by John Bright titled, "The Kingdom of God", written in 1952. He was a professor of Hebrew and OT theologian at a Virginia Seminary. In it he traces The Kingdom of God from it's inception in OT through the first coming of Jesus in NT. I'm not half way yet but it is interesting, slow reading with many scriptures to look up, but good so far.

In going through Israel's history and the prophecies recorded in Isaiah, he brings up that according to many theologians and serious Bible students, it's widely accepted that Isaiah was written by two authors. The first 39 chapters by Isaiah and 40 through 66 by an anonymous writer/prophet refered to as Deutero-Isaiah.

Anyone besides me not know this? Or have I just forgotten? Smile

I've gone over chapters 40-66 a couple of times, I can see a difference in the style and delivery of the prophecies, but...One thing for sure, whom ever God used, they certainly were proven accurate, especially the one concerning Jesus in chapter 53.
