In 1 Samuel 25 we have a Hebrew concept that is also seen elsewhere in bible. This revelation speaks louder than just looking at scriptures on what we are dealing with. see 1 Sam. 25:33. David praises her for she stops him from shedding blood. Don't miss this though, she offers at first to shed her own blood. David had the men with swords to slay all that was Nabal's to be slain. see v22 David makes threat. So there we have her offering her blood.
v.25 Her husband is called by her Belial-- that is a word for the devil. She sees him by his name Nabal-- meaning fool.
v.23 she humbles herself before David and she then makes a amazing statement. v.24 let me say this first. Abigail did no sin or iniquity. She says let the sin be on me. If she did no sin then it can't be on her. There it is--she will be a substitute. She will be punished and shed her blood for all that is Nabal's which would include people. She will not carry sin but be crucified for it. She will die only to save others.
David is really exalting her. She has done a righteous thing. In return she will pour out her blessings on all that pertains to David. At the risk of her own life.
This was shown to me about Abigail to bless others and show Jesus never became sin for us but was punished and became a substitute for our sins. The Jews of Jesus day called him the holy one. see Acts 3:14 he is the holy one--the demons call him Holy one Mk. 1:24-- Acts 13:35 Holy one not see corruption. all these scriptures point out that Jesus was a holy one and therefore he before the cross was the holy one. So why would he be a sinner and need to be born again, being he is already Holy one. see Isa. 17:7 and 29:23 there is more in Isa. the holy one of Israel is Jesus there before in prophesy.
The Jews called him out saying he does his works by Beelzebub. Only a righteous God can do miracles and he was that God. Matt.10:25. Blessed be the pure blood of the Lamb.
faith-- forsake all I trust him. Baal-- believe apostacy all lost. bible-- believe in bible life eternal.
