She wrote a book a number of yrs back about Elaine who was a ranking witch in the satanist hiarachy in the US. The book was a big help to me at the time as I was going through a learning process about the subject. Let me say right off that I strongly disagree with some of Browns theology. The story of Elaine rang very true for me though. Some of the odd things in the book in relation to Satanism and the occult I had had personal experience with. On the whole I believe Elaines story. I would be interested in any other opinions. Even if you disagree with me.
Here's the book

Here is a wiki article on her

Another interesting point is evidently it all took place in Indiana. I'm going up north for a few days so I'll catch up when I get back

I can't seem to get the link to work properly. If it doesn't take you to her page then click on the first link eg Rebecca Brown christian author.
Also I'm well aware of the expose on her. We in the faith camp have some experience with that as well. That doesn't mean none of it is true but I take it with a grain of salt. There are some very powerful well connected people in America as well as Canada and Europe involved in this stuff. The heresy hunters in the demo churches who track this stuff are well meaning but essentially ignorant in my opinion

Here we go boys...
I am sure one can learn a lot of things from books like these. They can serve a purpose in exposing the occult.
I, too, feel that you need to keep a balance and "move on" when one is the "deliverer" (We all know that Jesus is the Mighty Deliverer) or "deliveree." Is deliveree a word?
I find it sad that one write up of the book said it was, "shocking" that this was going on in the church. I see that statement as being identified with the end-time rich church, have need of nothing church, but poor in spirit church. Or how about the end-time it is not for today church; the sleeping church. Both have no teaching, no serious praise, no operation of the gifts, and are spoiled rotten brats who want their way all of the time (no dying out) and have to have everything RIGHT NOW (no faith, standing and believing, just gimme, gimme, gimme).
I find the Wikipedia site disturbing, to say the least. I am sure she experienced many things. I am also sure that God's grace and mercy were working in her life when she had no idea what she was doing or dealing with, just like all the rest of us at different times and places in our lives.
Hardbones, I am sure this all ministered to you then. But, aren't you tickled pink to have the FA teaching to go along with it now!?!
Without the thorough teaching of FA, most people get off on their tangents. Without the thorough teaching of FA, most become prey to the very thing (the occult) they were trying to be delivered from in the first place.
I praise His Holy Name, Jesus, for FA and the teaching. It ain't over 'till it's over! I think I need to go to Kroger and pick something up for supper. Maybe I will run into people I can witness and testify to about Mighty Jesus.
Rebecca Brown has a graduate course on spiritual warfare for $110. Do ya think I need it?

I really agreed with what Alanbook said there. It is so easy to get caught up in looking for demons. It happened to me once. everyone around me was telling me but it took awhile to see it.

Absolutely
There is sometimes a steep learning curve in learning how to deal with these things. If you're more or less alone or just wanting to deal with your own life instead of asking advise and that means sometimes you make mistakes. Like so much else in life I think often God just lets you muddle (muddel?) through all the while taking a strong superintending hand upon it.
I had to learn because of some serious attacks on my family and myself. I didn't have anyone to ask advice of and those I did ask thought I was nuts (or needed deliverance). I did learn though and the Lord helped me many times.
If anyone is interested in this subject I would be careful of Rebecca Brown. Some of her theology and experience is very questionable. What I did find valuable was Elaines story which as I said I think was true.
