I don't know if this belongs in the rant/rave section, but it certainly doesn’t belong in the Bible Issues section. Anyway, I for one would be interested in reading any of your funny or amusing past experiences with friends and acquaintances at F/A. I have a few.

Ok, I can start. I already told you guys about the basketball story with Steve Hill over in the section called, ,'Concerning Steve Hill".
Here's another one. I'll call it, 'Educated Cows'.
I was working on Rick Carey’s Dad’s Farm just south of Warsaw. I also worked with another F/A brother named Ron ______ (I can’t remember his last name). It was winter and we all came down with this intestinal flu. Sometimes we would be out in the field and when it would grip us; well you just had less than a minute to make it somewhere to do you-know-what or it was too late if you get my drift.
Rick, Ron and I all came down with it. Since the house was too far away to make it in time, we had to use the barn. We went back in the corner where the cattle were kept. We did it there frequently for some time. That section of the barn was strewn with used toilet paper as well
When spring came we got out the front end loader and cleaned out the stalls where the Cattle were as well as ‘our section’. We loaded it all up in a manure spreader and took it out to the field and spread it.
Next morning Ron and I were driving to the farm to go to work and we looked over at the field were the ‘special manure’ was spread. I looked at Ron and in an attempt to sound like a southern boy. I said, “Looky there Ron, toilet paper in that thar field.” Ron, said, “Yea, educated cows”.

I was just out of high school and had listened to a few of Hobart Freeman's tapes when I decided I wanted to visit FA. I had received the tapes from the father of one of my classmates. He and his brother also wanted to drive up to the "Glory Barn", so off we went. The older brother had a nice Chevy pickup that was his pride and joy (more later about the pickup). Anyway, we drove through the night and we were just north of Indy when I woke up. Imagine my surprise to find abundant amounts of limestone poking up out of the ground. Back in Alabama the county I lived in was loaded with limestone and the neighboring county was even named Limestone county. I felt right at home! Right at home until the cruel truth slowly became apparent--that stuff sticking up all over the ground was nothing more than dirty piles of melting snow.
Well, after visiting the "Glory Barn" we just knew we were supposed to move to Indiana. The older brother and I moved up and found a job just south of Goshen, TEC I believe was the name of the van conversion factory.
To complete the story I'll jump ahead a bit-- the guy I moved up with was broke and had no money to pay the payments coming due on his truck so he "claimed" it paid off. Well, even after he started making money he couldn't see continuing to pay for something that was already paid for! (Did I mention we were idiots?) It wasn't long before a repo man showed up at the barn one Sunday morning and towed away his pride and joy. All of his cassette tapes (music & teaching) were gone for good--he had purposely kept his personal belongings in the truck even after being notified it was going to be repossessed because he was "acting his faith!" Anyway, he was the subject of a sermon or two.

Sure, although it isn't original with me... I found it somewhere on the net and liked it because it made me do a double take!
