As I read this young girl's blog I'm reminded of what is important in
this life and how pathetic my problems are in the big scheme of
things.

I found the site three or so years ago and each time I visit I realize
the sheer folly of assigning relevance to things I've considered
important. Surely God will deliver us from our lofty thoughts of
self-importance as our eyes become focused on someone who exemplifies
a 'living sacrifice' in such a way that puts most of us to shame.

We are the ones who have heard the deeper life message, the ones with
the standard-issue theological briefcases; we are the ones with the
arguments that would dissuade a woman from this kind of work, and yet
here we sit, complaining about... well, you know what we complain
about...

If you have the time you might go to the oldest blog messages first (I
think she started in 2007 right after she graduated from high school)
in order to understand the whole experience. To read the messages in
the order that they were written you'll need to go to the bottom of
each page and read to the top; it's worth the trouble.

p.s. I think that she was/is? a member of one of those types of
churches that we've been talking about... just so you'll know--in case
that makes a difference in whether or not you choose to read the blog.
 I want to believe!
