I was at someones house and they had some Carl Seitzs tapes that were professionally done. Someone had gave them the tapes for a gift and they did not know where they came from originally.

Does anyone know where I can buy these tapes?

Thanks,
Gary

You don't have to buy them! They are free for downloading.

They are on the music site on OO....right here! Shocked

Go to the Music tab. Click on Music posts by GWB (Gillyann)

It will explain how we got all of the music on OO.

I plan on putting seminar music on the site, as well.

Enjoy!!! Very Happy

Gillyann,

I downloaded a lot of the songs you have posted on this board, but I do not know for sure how to put this stuff on cd's. I'm a novice when it comes to computers.

I might try this (putting them on a cd), to see if I can figure it out. These cd's of Carls (that the brother had), looked like they were professionally done. My wife wants them to listen to in the car.

I do play a lot of the songs you shared on the computer here.

Thanks,
Gary

I bought a set of somebody's CDs. There was a pic of Carl on the front.

I helped make some of the music. Absolutely no offense to the person who made these CDs, but many tracks are missing in the music. You can't even hear Carolyn Robinson's voice doing backup. Major loss! The music is not as clear, either.

I am sure they tried very hard to copy the music. Again, no offense.

Google instructions as to how to download music to a CD. It is not very hard. Smile

You should be able to put them on a cd just by right clicking on the song and and click on "send to" and then choosing the drive your recordable cd is in.

Click on each song though and not just the file.

There is software right in the windows operating system that should do it.

If it doesn't work send William a note he is real smart about stuff like this.

Pardon my lack of knowledge here to understand all of this.

I have DVD+r tapes which have 4.7 GB/Go 1-16x Recordable discs

I assume this is the right disc to use for music.

I think I also have windows 7/vista, (I think) Smile

There is a program on here called Roxio free version, that came with the computer. When this opens up I don't understand all the commands how to send everything everywhere.

I think I have windows media player, the problem is I don't know where to send it to because once you get there its generally not automatic and I don't know which program even to choose out of the list it gives me.

When I right click I get a list that says "add to:" the choice is burn, or sync.

When I burned these discs above it does not tell me what to do next it does not have a send command.

After all this I feel like I'm ready to sync. Whatever that means.

Another thing here, I have 18 songs by Carl Seitzs, is this all the songs he wrote or is there more?

How many songs can you put on a cd providing I have the right discs?

Gillyann

Back at the old Steve Hill and Tom Hamilton seminars they had people share special songs between the meetings, it was very good worship songs.

Do you have access to this music as well?

It happened the first few years of the seminar then they closed it down because of copyright laws and know one could share songs after that time. Many of the songs were ones that people got from the Lord.

Thanks for any help, like I said, this is all new here to me and they don't make it easy to understand.

Gary

P.S. If anyone needs help changing a ball joint on your vehicle or needs help with carpentry I do understand this stuff. Smile
Feel free to ask I can at least point you in the right direction.

One title is like one tape. You can put all of those songs on one CD.

As far as Copyright is concerned, it is a lost cause. I have Copyrighted all of the music on the site. It has been so long ago and nobody Copyrighted anything, except Steve Hill. That is why I will not share Steve's music. I have all of his music. He officially owns his music.

I am sure he would not say anything if I put his music on the site, but as an artist, I feel it is being disrespectful to him.

BUT, this music belongs to those who wrote and performed the music. I Copyrighted the music so that the artist's, and their families would be protected from those who might try and rob others of their own music.

I would never, ever want to profit from the music these gifted Psalmists produced.

I also feel that the music should be available, free of charge, to everyone.

If anyone feels differently, you can PM me, or discuss it openly on OO. Smile

BTW, I am not sure what transpired concerning the copyright of the seminar music. I will put it on the music site; all and everything I have.....for free.

I feel like this music is gold from heaven. Smile

SEE! SEE! Who said humor was restricted just to those living in Alabama? Cool

That's the beauty of The Body of Christ, He has given various gifts to each member for the profit of all. One can sing and write worship songs well, one can build and construct well, one understands technology, one can repair most anything, one can offer encouragement, one can interceed, another is blessed with other giftings of various natures. (me? I can skin a deer, start a fire without matches, and prepare income taxes...among other things. Laughing )

I'm running Xp not 7. Hopefully it is the same

Put in the dvd r
Download the music and make sure you know where the file is
I put it on the desktop so I can find it easily

Highlight the file. Not the folder!
Right click and choose "send to"

You should see the dvd on there. Click on that.

Click on burn. It should send it to a file to be burned. It can be frustrating but if you fool around with it a bit you should be able to send it to the disc.

Here is another option. Do you have a new car? If so many new cars carry a USB port. You plug a flash drive into it. Sending the file to a flash drive is much easier. It just records the info without burning it. Very much quicker too.

A flash drive is one of those little things that plug into the USB drive. Much easier than a dvd.

If you have a USB drive in the car then just get a couple little flash drives and send the music onto that.

Gillyann,
I appreciate what you shared. I was only mentioning about the copyright because of what happened at those seminars. Personally I think if God gives someone a song to share, why protect it with some law to make money off of it. I know it costs money to make music tapes/cds as well so I can kind of see both sides of the coin.

It will be nice in Heaven that everything is not centered around money.

I'm going to buy a flash drive this weekend and try that method for starters sounds easier at least.

William, or Anybody,
I am still having problems getting music on cds or flash drive. Want to be Anoymous

Well I did get the music on a cd and it will play on the laptop but I cannot get it to play on the stereo in the car. I think I put it on there through windows media.

Any tips to make this simpler and to at least work? The flash drive I bought has a vault with password and its a little complicated, also I cannot get nothing on it.

I sure miss cassettes. Cool

Gary

First you need to find out if your CD player can play recordable cds... some will not.

The second issue concerns the format of the music that you are putting on the cd. Windows media might not be a format that your player can handle, it might require an mp3 format or even something else.

Many of the modern cd players have a mp3 jack or a USB jack built into the player and if this is the case you can bypass the creation of the cd and just use either a mp3 player (you can pick up one for $20 or so) plugged into the audio input jack and listen through your car player, or you may be able to plug in a usb jump drive that contains your music and then select the song you want via the cd player itself.

The mp3 player option just uses your stereo to amplify the sound through your speakers.

The usb stick option only works if your cd player can access the usb thumb drive and present you with a menu of files that are on the usb drive.

Assuming that your player can play recordable cds then the problem has to lie in the format of the music you burn to the cd. Once you find the proper format then they should play.

Putting the music on a cd in a PCM format should work if the mp3 format doesn't.

I'm not an expert as I've never had a car cd player that would play music burned onto a cd so take everything with a grain of salt!

Blessings,
William

I just re-read one of your earlier notes and noticed that you are recording the music to a DVD type cd. That may be your problem. The DVD recordables allow you to put a lot of information onto the disk but I doubt that your cd player will recognize the disk.

If you can find some regular recordable music cds (the kind that will only hold 600-700 megabytes or so) your player might recognize them.

Blessings,
William

Thanks for everybody's help here.

I finally got all the songs, (Carl Seitz's), on a flash drive and it works perfect in the car. Its amazing how all of this information can be transferred.

Thanks Again,
Gary
