Is it possible most charismatics will go to hell?

Wow there is a mind bender question.

Mat 7:22 Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name.

Is this not a charismatic He is talking about? I don't know of any non-charismatics that prophesy.

And in your name drive out demons . Any non-charismatics here? I think not.

And preform many miracles? Still sounds like a charismatic.

What does Jesus mean when he says many?

Mat 7:13 "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.

MT 20:16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen

Of the billions of people on earth how many is many? How few is few?

William made the statement the other day about A.W. Tozer." you guys do know he was not a tongue speaker".
I find no place in scripture that says he who is a tongue speaker will be saved.
What I do find is Mat 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
About a year or so ago when there was so much turmoil on the forum a little ole farm boy posted "by their fruits you shall know them ". I don't remember if he posted anything else but I have never forgotten that post.
You say you speak in tongues. Jesus said Mat 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits.
Am I denigrating tongues? NO WAY. What I am saying is the emphasis with so many people is speaking in tongues as opposed to holiness and bearing fruit.

So that is my question of the day.

Let the barrage begin.
Shocked

I can't speak for William but I'm pretty sure he wasn't implying that Tozer wasn't saved because he didn't have the Baptism. So I don't think there's anything to discuss about that, unless someone wants to bring up the amazing number of people who were used by God who didn't have the Baptism of The Holy Spirit.

But to address your question apart from that, imo, yes it is very possible that some/many/most charismatics will go to hell...and I think that also applies to some/many/most non charismatics.(of course like you said, how many are 'many'? That's in God's hands to decide.)

ps. I too remember the post by Wilber, and I later PMed him with an apology for taking a different position at the time...Boy, was he was right!

Let me first clear up what seems to be a mystery surrounding my question
to you guys about Tozer not being a "tongue speaker".

I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM RECEIVING FROM SOMEONE WHO DOESN'T SPEAK IN
TONGUES!

Most of my library consists of works that were not written by "tongue
speakers".

It was Grandom who quoted Tozer and then later made the statement venting
his frustration concerning those who DON'T receive those truths. Here,
let me quote him:

Quote:

Grandom wrote:
Live the life of a true Christian and you will be ostracized.
Proclaim the truths of divine healing.

Proclaim the truth of Christmas.

Proclaim the truth of the easter bunny.

Proclaim the truth of halloween.

Proclaim the truth of the Bapism in the Holy Spirit and speaking in
tongues
and other truths

Asking the question was an attempt to highlight the irony that was
presented to my mind... I apologize for not making it clear before.

The new questions that you've posed should make for an interesting
discussion!

Blessings,
William

William said that. My library is the same. For some reason Charismatics don't seem to say much about issues other than the so called charismatic issues. Its a shame really. You would think we would have deep understanding on a lot of issues.
